Iam takes the device and looks it over. It feels familiar but exotic at the same time. He glances at the glowing deputization badge, "might help if I knew the law in this city." he thinks to himself. From the roof he looks over the neighborhood and city trying to find markers of places he rode by yesterday. While doing so he is struck with the realization he has no idea how he will get down from the roof.
Iam continues looking over the neighborhood as he walks around the perimeter of the roof looking for a way down.

Riverport: Twilight:
Voldred: You move forward to use inflict wounds, your hand becoming englufed in a dark flame, a strange grey smoke exuding from your fingertips. The Cultist is quick to sidestep your dangerous magic, and a protective aura of water and Barracudas seems to form a barrier to protect them, and they take no damage.
The Thief draws her pistol and fires: Attack: 9 Damage: 9
Twill, boot now rockless, moves up right beside you, and makes two quick blows with her fists against the Cultist Attack: 18 Damage: 3Attack: 8 Damage: 3
The theif's bullet lands true, causing water like energy and vapors to spew from the cultists robes, however, Twills fists, although landing, seem to thump hard against the cultists robes like armor. "Ouch, harder than it looks."
The cultist's raises a fist clutching on a totem, which becomes a swirling black maelstrom with rocks and teeth, and brings it down on Twill. Attack: 11 Damage: 6
Twill is suddenly hit back with unatural force, nearly stumbling to the ground. "Ouch...much harder..." but remaining on her feet. It is now your turn.
Rafon's Run: Road to Glanyrafon:
Tsahil: "I can make some arrangements." Says the Caretaker. "I certainly owe it to you, and payment for the cart will be no problem." Make a persuasion check with advantage. ((I'll try to get back with fuller a response quickly))
Tsahil: The drivers anger comepletely subsides "Sorry, I lost my head there. No point in making a bad situation worse." He tosses his busted firearm aside, and let's out a deep sigh before sitting down on a lump of debris. "Always worried I'd get stuck in the middle of The Run one day, never thought it would happen quite like this."
"Best we not spend the time moping." says The Caretaker "I know it might be hard to focus right now, but as soon as you are able, we need to work to pull the horses from the wreckage so they can recovar and get then our bearings as quickly. My horse can only hold two people, three if they are light enough, but myself plus this limp body is all that can be carried. I think the options are to either send one man as a rescue team, or if at least two of your horses are alive we can risk the night here and ride in the morning."
Tsahil nods and goes back to the wreckage to try and free the horses. He'll use his crowbar if that helps on making room for the horses to get back on their feet.
Ulrich turns his head a bit to the side, pointedly puts his hands in his pockets, and follows Elan inside.
He'll take a slow look around before moving further. Just to get a sense of the place and any feelings he can work out.
"If going to the South will be troubling to you... no, I am sure whatever it is, it was taken into account. There are enough unknowns in this. It would not do to have one that could be dealt with. Lead on."
Orina: "I don't really know a whole lot about magic, but everyone I've spoke to seems to know what it is when they see it. It's hazy, but I do remember an aura like that whenever Grr was messing with his necklace...I haven't been paying enough attention to see if it appeared when casting. Really, it's always there for everyone, everything even, but sometimes it's just so much more intense, palpable, even deafening to all other senses. It certainly gives me a bad feeling, but maybe that's just because I don't understand it. I agree, taking careful steps with these strange things is a must."
"Oh, yes, let us both keep careful watch of our funds." says Finn. "Perhaps we should pool our money together, or maybe just pitch in a little when the other asks. If you're willing to pay, though, I won't be wasteful."
Hainsley accepts the offer to ride on your shoulders. "So, not just using money to survive, but also to live. It must be very difficult for those with a lot and those with a lot to get along...I have a lot more questions, but this topic seems exceedingly complex. Regardless, I worried that those with money are like rabbits, and those that want money are like wolves...and well everyone both has money and wants more, and that would mean...well, maybe that's not right, it certainly doesn't look like anyone is eating anyone else for money, at least not literally."
You walk through the market, and as you tell Hainsley to stay close, he does so. "I think you're right, I could barely focus yesterday. It's a lot easier to deal with now, but the amount of stress here is quite strange. Everyone out of the city seemed so much happier, but here...it's like most people that live here don't want to...and with those strangely dressed people who stalk around it...it..." He leans into you and rests his head on you, nuzzling against you. "It does smell like the forest, and hints of oil from that dungeon, it is strangely soothing. I can't keep my eyes closed forever, but it's good to step away for a moment."
You stop at a restaurant window as Finn begins to order, picking something relatively cheap. "No, I don't want to pay from my account, take this copper, my friend here will order and pay for the rest. Yes, I assure you, with money, please. Orina, if you would-"
"Did you see that!" says Hainsley, interrupting Finn. "There were to people there flying through the air! They just took off, nobody even glanced at them." Hainsley seems to turn your head in the direction, and you do see something in the air, which quickly begins to descend. It's far away, and your not sure if it's people (perception check for that). Finn looks for a moment, and then gives Hainsley an angry squint. "Are you trying to play a trick? There's nothing there, you probably just saw a bird or something. You're making people stare, and we're holding up the line." Hainsley shakes his head and looks around at the people who were looking. "You should know better than to- actually you know what, Orina you finish ordering, I'll go take a look." With a sudden change of attitude, Finn goes out and starts looking at the sky.
Riverside Port:
Nae, Noldeme Xamodas: "Yeah, exactly, I need context on what you did wrong, which was I already know was a lot! I am being nice for not washing you away where you stand, now go!" He sits cross legged right where he stands. "I'll be waiting right here. Right here exactly. If you don't come back that's fine by me."
Pertuie begins to head north, but the rest of her party seems to be dragging their heels ((I will do an activity check, but feel free to proceed)) You head north and look around for signs of a cave. Make a Nature check.
"Well, I don't know," Orina tells Hainsley. "We didn't use money out in the forest, before I came to the city. We traded in favors if we needed something. If someone was particularly good at carving wood, and someone else was particularly good at catching fish, you might trade a nice fish for a nice quarterstaff. Money was always an invention of the city folk. I was actually pretty bad at handling mine when I first got here... so you could say I was like a lamb, and the people taking my money really were the wolves. They may not be eating each other, but you do need money to eat. Case in point," she says as Finn stops by the restaurant and begins to order.
She's distracted from what Finn is doing by Hainsley's exclamation. Looking up, Orina shades her eyes with a hand and prays for a blessing as searches for the people he saw flying through the sky:
Perception: 19 + Guidance: 3
She watches Finn change attitude as quickly as flipping a switch and frowns a little. Returning to the restaurant, she says "Hi! We're looking for some good, filling food to take with us on the street. No meat, if you can help it please - maybe a good loaf of bread and some cheese. Something easy to handle while walking, and enough for three" she asks respectfully, handing over what coin might be necessary for the repast.
Then she follows after Finn with the food. "Where did you see them going?" she asks Hainsley, not doubting the hare's instincts for a second.
Xamodas looks back and forth between the party. Slaying a horrible monster seemed like a chore, but perhaps it would help him further get used to the body he was now in.
"Well, lets get going then."

There is certainly something in this song that makes you thing of Mars specifically, they must hold some connection.
While parsing this information, you think you spot a way down, only to plunge and hit the lawn. Luckily, it wasn't high enough to injure you, you just dust yourself off and hope you won't end up killing to much grass. You make your way out the front gate, which seems to click open at your touch. The castle district doesn't have many interconnected streets, mostly long lanes with many villas on each side with the occasical fork. You manage to recall the hill you ascended when you arrived here yesterday, and head in the direction you remember. A few familiar adresses and housefronts later, you come to what you are certain must be Liadon's villa. You can see the scaffolding in the back and you can picture Liadon sneaking through the back. You see that the front door is slightly ajar, and you don't hear or see anyone inside. You can see on one of the neighbors rooftops a Kenku is spying at you inquisitively.

"Keep your filthy bodily fluids away from me, you creep!" Voldred says in disgust as he dodges the attack, and he shoves the enemy with his shield to disengage and move away from him.
Iam looks up at the Kenku. He takes the badge from his chest and holds it up towards the neighbor signaling with his other hand in a come here gesture of an open hand palm towards himself his arm moving in a circular motion towards his own chest. He also begins walking towards the neighbors residence.
Whoops, sorry, didn't make a post about not posting over labor day, busy doing homework rushing to make something playable for a game jam. It was certainly playable, but that's just about the highest marks I can give.
Rafon's Run: Road to Glanyrafon:
Tsahil: You quickly move to free the horses. There were four to pull the wagon, the two at the rear are heavily injured, one not even moving moving, and in no condition to bear weight. The two in the front are in better condition, upon freeing one of them, it manages to stand. Another at the front attempts to stand, but shakily lays down after attemping to walk on a heavily injured limb. The Caretaker leans down to look at it. "He may recover after a rest...but the aspects are very quiet out here. The others could've survived were they anywhere but here, there's no telling what they might attract out here." The Caretaker's voice cracks a bit when saying that, you can tell that he is greatly pained by the condition of the animals. He works to create a splint for the injured horse, and rubs some sort of ointment on its wound. "It will take time before he can move at full speed, but it will still be less taxing then walking."
You have the choice between picking the injured or uninjured horse, whichever one you don't pick will be given to the wagon driver. The Caretaker hops on his horse. "I will keep pace with you, your safety is as much a priority as my own. Driver, you lead the way, and everyone keep an eye out to make sure we have our bearings." Make a survival check with advantage as you assist.
Faksimile Temple District -> ???"
Ulrich: You walk through the doorway, and you are suddenly in a labaryinth of shevles. Your eyes cross as there is seemingly a path in every direction, including directions that shouldn't be there at all. Every manner of object is lines the shelves. It is almost silent, but occsionaly what sounds like the settling of some item in the distance is heard...listening closely, you swear you can hear the faintest music, like listening to an orchestra play from outside the concert hall. "Keep an eye on me, if you can, though it's not really possible to get lost here." says Elan. "There's an old story you might've heard about someone known as The Heirloom King, this is his domain, at least partially, which Spearhead calls the infinite shelf. Anything stored magically goes here, like in your storage card or my wardrobe, and also things that get lost but not forgotten. I could go on and on about this place..."
Something catches your eye on a shelf you pass by as you walk. The Deathclaw? The fingers look right on this one, but if there's two there might be three, and Elan said not to touch anything. Elan is walking ahead...you could take the staff now, but you have the eeriest feeling that you are being watched.

Rafon's Run: Road to Glanyrafon:
"Poor things... I guess we should end their misery..." Tsahil speaks sadly. He goes to the two horses beyond recovery and try to put them out** as painlessly as he can.
"If you don`t mind, I'll ride the healthiest horse" he talks to the driver a few moments later. "It's mobility may be important for me to help the Caretaker in protecting us, if something or someone assaults us".
Survival check: 18
((** OOC: I'm not sure if this is the right way to say that? I meant to say Tshail will kill them, but in a more sensible way...))
Ulrich takes a step toward the Deathclaw, his hand reaching out, but he stops himself. He makes his glance around one more of curosity than suspicion. He marks the spot as well as he can, than follows after Elan.
"You say lost, but not forgotten. Does the item have to be lost? Are any magical items sought and collected or just ones that are looked for? I mean to say, how are the items chosen to be housed here? Does the Heirloom King decide? Is this a first place to look for items?"
Orina: You see them just as they begin to descend beyond your line of sight. They were quite far away, the seem to be descending into a district much close to the castle.
"Got it. No meat you said?" says the horned fellow running the stand. "That's dissapointing, but manageable, coming right up. Your total is 3 silver, I imagine your not paying with an account either." He begins to take out some foodstuffs and prepare it, eventually handing it to you in a couple of disposable bags. "Not sure what your friend is saving for, ya'll could be eating at The Roost for every meal if you wanted to. Not that I mind though, ha! Enjoy the festival!"
Hainsley says as you ask, pulling out a sextant and compass from seemingly nowhere. "hmmmm...I can almost calculate for certain they went-" he chucks them aside and points "-that way! What's that way? I don't know, but that's where they went. I think it was a couple of those fancy fellows too."
Finn is looking up in the air as you approach him. "Ah, well, I must have just missed them, maybe they'll pop up again later. Ah, foods already done, give it here I'm starving. I'm surprised more people aren't flying around here anyway, must be some rule against it, a few people on roof though. Come on then, we're going to meet Stoneshield...well a Stoneshield anyway, right, uhhhh, this way."
Riverside Village:
Nae, Noldeme, Xamodas: You walk due north, keeping an eye out for any signs of raised elevations for caves. There are some mountains in the distance, and the ground is does become a bit more sloped, but even as you walk for quite a bit searching, there doesn't seem to be any signs of one. However, as you crest a hill you see a the base a medium opening without many distinguishing features. You're not sure if this was the specific cave you were looking for, but it's a cave. If it were to hold a monster, unless it opens up inside, it's not going to be a very monstrously sized one.
Vir asks. "I know what he asked us to do but...I don't know how helpful I will be. Was I...did I do anything when that glowing thing showed up? The last thing I remember was arriving at the river." Vir puts her hand to her head. "I'm...I'm not as helpless as I look, I can help. The spellbook has plenty of pictures showing battles against monsters; if I fight, my magic will improve, but what if I freeze again?"
Xamodas the Red looks to their diminutive companion.
"Stay back and let us handle it, then. You can help if you feel you can help, but leave the heavy lifting to us. This way, should you freeze again, you're not in harms way."
Turning to the other adventurers, he waves towards the cave.
"I'm not much for scouting. I much prefer to prove my superiority head on. But if one of you less conspicuous ones want to take a look, feel free."

"Hainsley... do you want to see what those flying people were about? It'll bring us near the castle." Whoops, sorry, didn't make a post about not posting over labor day, busy doing homework rushing to make something playable for a game jam.
Faksimile Temple District -> ???"

Faksimile Temple District:
Ulrich takes a step toward the Deathclaw, his hand reaching out, but he stops himself. He makes his glance around one more of curosity than suspicion. He marks the spot as well as he can, than follows after Elan.
"You say lost, but not forgotten. Does the item have to be lost? Are any magical items sought and collected or just ones that are looked for? I mean to say, how are the items chosen to be housed here? Does the Heirloom King decide? Is this a first place to look for items?"
Lore post coming tonight.
Corvidae Market District:

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Orina (Bunny Knight) | Streets of Cordivae
The shopkeeper's words give Orina pause, and she looks at Finn again with narrowed eyes. He has money? Then why is he acting like he's poor? This is further compounded by his reassuring speech that he even remembers what she'd asked of him.
She wonders if Finn really knows where he's going, or actually knows a member of the Stoneshield family: Insight: 19 + Guidance: 4
"Hainsley... do you want to see what those flying people were about? It'll bring us near the castle."
(Whether or not Orina tells Finn to forget it and travels to the Castle first, or keeps searching after the Stoneshields depends on how much she trusts he's telling the truth about finding a Stoneshield family member: see insight roll)
