Tyranny of Dragons

“Oh, I certainly don’t want you to join my cult, I’m not even aware I was running a cult. I’m not really with those people.” And he gestures toward the camp. 

“So you’re helping feed something in there huh? Any idea what?”

[I definitely don’t have a cult. Don’t believe the rumors.]

"In that case, we have even less reason to talk. I get paid good coin to bring fresh meat. Beyond that, it's none of my concern. You want to know what's in the came? Go ask 'em for yourself."

Still smiling at the man Arliden says, “I didn’t know we have to have a reason to talk. I just wanted to come say hi and see what you were doing in a place like this.” 

We’ll leave you alone if you want, but some friendly advice, if your not friendly you’ll never get friends. And if you don’t have any friends one day you’ll die alone on a cliff side.......all alone.”

”We’ll, have a good day my nameless sir.”

Once we get out of earshot, Arliden will lean towards Fjordix, “You think we need to kill this dude?”

"I don't think so, seemed like he was just doing a job to feed himself, or maybe others." 

“Agreed, just wanted to get a second opinion. He definitely needs some friends though, sheesh. Well, I guess we should get back up to the group.” And Arliden will head back with Fjordix. 

As soon as you move away, the man goes back to tending his cook fire and pays you no attention. You make it back to the rest of the party with no problems.

Novot raises an eyebrow as Arliden and Fjordix head back to the group. "Well, no weapons drawn. So we've got that going for us." 

“Yeah, plus that was... quicker than I expected. Everything good? Fjordix didn’t threaten to feed him to anything?”

Fjordix grumbles a bit at Rex's comment, "He's been hired to hunt  to feed whats in the cave. I don't think we are dealing with eggs anymore"

She screws up her mouth a bit. "What're the odds that guy will help us get in the cave?"

"He seems to have no love for the cult. Though they are paying him. So the chances would increase based on the coin involved I'd imagine"

She looks around at the others. "I don't know about you, but I'd be willing to spend some coin to bypass those guards."

A tusk-y grin. "As long as it doesn't involve sneaking."

Rex also grins, “Oh no. How does blasts and maces to the skull sound?” Cue telepathic maniacal laughter.

“Rex, did Wit get any idea of if there were creatures in the cave? Or if there were, how many?”

“Two cultists at the front and then some creatures he avoided. Didn’t get a good look since he was focused on finding the eggs. Think a little bit of mind games might be in order?”

Could you make yourself look exactly like one of the cultists if we took him out? Not really even sure if the “sneak in” plan is viable but just charging in headfirst could get dangerous fast. 

“Agreed. We need to remove the guards up front first quickly, then we can handle the rest.”
