“Technically, yes, Bahamut is the ‘good guy’ of the two. However, he is an incompetent dunce that has only served to further fracture dragonkind by doing the same thing Tiamat is doing: turning the dragons against each other. Tiamat has actively tried to stop Io’s mission, so her fate is sealed. Bahamut may still be allowed to live. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. Essentially, chromats aren’t the bad guy. Metallics aren’t the bad guy. There are evils on both sides, which prevents Io’s unification plan. I’m fixing that.”
"Is this really time to be talking about your invisible dragon gods? We have a mission" Fjordix shook his head in disbelief of what he was hearing. "Good dragons, pfft" he said under his breath
"Right, makes sense...there is no 'right side' in a war. Now who is Io exactly?"
Ignoring Fjordix’s criticism, Rex answers Arliden, “Well, put simply, Io was the previous god of the dragons. Most think that he died in a battle with the primordials, which then created Bahamut and Tiamat from his blood. What actually happened is that he entered a slumber after the battle, and put those two in charge while he was gone. They’ve screwed up, and now he’ll be taking his authority back, whether they wish to give it back or not. So essentially, they’re divine squatters who don’t want to move out despite not paying rent for years.”

Rex shrugs, “Fine. We’ll discuss the finer points of theology later. Let’s save the prisoner.”

Arliden looks at Fjordix, "I understand the fury, but there's that whole 'understand your enemy thing' and I kind of got us attacked last time I used the name of the wrong dragon. I should have been able to talk us out of that situation. It does look like you've gotten us here safely though so your right. Its time to refocus."
And Arliden will survey the area and see if there is a reasonable way to get to the watchtower up on the plateau (the higher one).
[also OOC (sorry, just trying to visualize): so the camp is in the hollow and the guard towers are on top of a plateau that is surrounding the hollow?]
Novot's upper lip curls a bit. "Best leave Bahamut out of it, Rex. Let's not dilute our venom for the madame Queen."
[The guard towers are the square symbols on the map (the one nearest you is under the "AM" in "Raider Camp" at the top left). The camp is in the hollow with one guard tower at the opening to the hollow on the lower level and the second on top of a plateau shelf at the back of the hollow. The circle symbols on the map are tents.]
You can't really see to far into the camp, so it's impossible to even try to estimate how many are in the camp. There's certainly enough cultists here to have raided an entire town. There may be a guard or two in the tower nearest you, but you can't tell from that far away.
Thats what I vote for but only because I really don't see another options. I just can't see us fighting that camp. We could take some time and sneak around the outskirts of the camp, keeping plenty of distance, and see if there is a better way in that the front gate?
[I like the idea of sending in our sneakiest to scout. The only question is, do the rest of us loop around (and risk being spotted by the guards on the plateau) or just stay put? Either way, how will our spies alert us if/when they find the guy we're looking for?]

"I'm not really confident that we can just walk in there and kill everyone. Should Rex and I try to get in there and scope it out first?"
OOC: From our current vantage can we make out any sort of guard, or how many folks inhabit the camp?

OOC: Do we want to send me and Arliden in while you all sneak about?
