[I'm assuming there's nothing else you wish to do in Greenest and will narrate you to the next "action" point in the story.]
A day and a half after leaving Greenest, you see what appears to be a star off in the distance ahead of you. As you get closer, you see that the star is actually a magical light that hovers above Elturel and seems to illuminate the city day and night. [Anyone may make a relevant check to determine if you know anything about the light.]
You enter the town and seek out Leosin Erlanthar, but no one has heard of him. Having exhausted that path, you ask for Ontharr Frume. Almost immediately you are directed to a tavern called A Pair of Black Antlers, the unofficial “headquarters” of the Order of the Gauntlet here.
When you walk into A Pair of Black Antlers, you see Leosin sitting at a table near the center of the room with a few of his fellow monks (some of whom you vaguely remember seeing in Greenest) and a man in gleaming plate armor. Leosin sees you and motions for you to come over and join them.
"Ontharr, these are the adventurers I was telling you about." To you he says, "Please tell me you were able to discover something in that cave."
OOC: Fjordix is a bright young man with training in the Arcana, let's take a stab 14
Fjordix snagged a passing by waitress and asked her for an ale before listening in as Rex gave word to Leosin about what had happened in the cave, then he chimed in, "Leosin, we asked all over town for you but nobody knew where you'd be. Are you in hiding?"
Fjordix, you can tell that the light was created through evocation magic.
Novot, you recall learning that the light is called The Companion and being in the light it emits is painful to undead.
Arliden, you can see that there is an area just opposite the bar that appears to be setup specifically for a musician or group of musicians to perform, but no one is currently there. It's a little after midday, so they might just be on a short break to eat.
Leosin says, "I've only just arrived a day ago, and Elturel is a large city. I apologize for not giving you clearer instructions on how to contact me, but I'm glad you're here. So Frulam and Langdedrosa are dead? What of Rezmir? What's their next target?"
Ontharr interrupts Leosin by saying, "Before we go too much further, I think our friend over here [he nods toward Fjordix] has the right way of things." Looking toward the bar he adds, "Meriele, we'll have seven tankards of Willow Dark." At this, the young elf woman behind the bar nods and promptly pulls seven tankards of a dark ale and brings them to your table. Lifting one of the tankards towards Fjordix he says, "Now we can get down to business."
[To save time, is there anything that happened in the cave that you do not want to tell them?]
OOC: I mean, I am not sure how they'd react to us not having destroyed the eggs? and if we tell them that and there is a cultist among us they may pass it back to the cult that the eggs are in Greenest and they may raid the town again.
[I just imagine Rex sometimes forgetting and talking to a merchant with telepathy and the poor bastard just freaks out from these voices in his head.]
Arliden will step up to recounting the tale with just a little flourish added [he's not lying by any stretch but he's definitely telling the tale as a story, not just a bulleted list of information]. He does leave out the part about the eggs, as well as what they took from Frulam. He hypes Fjord defeating Landragosa like a revenge story [starts quietly strumming the Rocky theme song on his lyre].
Once he finally wraps up he says, "So, what's our next order of business then?"
Also, once he gets a spare minute he would get the attention of the server and ask her a few questions. "Hey there, I don't suppose a woman named Lilliana has come through here in the last few months that you remember? Also, do you have a band scheduled for later or is the position open?"
Fjordix happily takes one of the Tankards and raises with with the man as Arliden tells their story, by the end of it he has finished the Tankard and the separate drink that he had ordered. "Arliden you have quite the penchant for stories my friend. This is how all business should be conducted" Fjordix raises his empty tankard so that Meriele will bring more ales for the group. "So, who cast the big light outside, seems like strong magic"
Fjordix laughed from his stomach as he finished another ale, "Yes! Sometimes my confidence steers my glaive a bit off course!" he continued to laugh but eventually calmed down and continued to drink his ale in large gulps.
A look of shock and confusion crosses Leosin's face as he hears Rex's voice in his head. For the moment, he is too stunned to respond.
Meriele looks at Arliden and says, "Lilliana? Hmmm...That name sounds a bit familiar, but I've always been better with faces than names. Could you describe her?"
Meanwhile, Ontharr is very pleased with the information you have given him. "If you like conducting business this way, just wait until you step into my office! It seems we have much more to discuss." With that, he leads you to a private space off the tavern’s common room and closes the door behind you. Leosin nods at Ontharr and says he needs to grab something and will join you shortly.
Waiting for you in the room are many pitchers of dark red wine. Once you are all situated, he says, "This is the finest wine in all of Elturgard. I expect much of this will be gone by the time we are done conversing. At this point, you know almost as much about this cult and it's plans as we do, and thanks to you, we know twice as much today as we did a tenday ago. Something rotten is afoot. We have no formal organization to oppose these rascals — not yet anyway. We’re working on that. And we need people like you, who know how and when to fight, and how and when to keep their heads down and observe. We can’t promise you anything except long days filled with danger and stress — but what could be better than that, eh?"
Leosin pops in just as Ontharr stops speaking. "We can also offer some material aid, as well. I believe I owe you this for the work you've already done." He tosses you each a bag with 150 gp in it. "Ontharr and I are offering you an opportunity to aid us in organizing the opposition to this cult. Will you join us?" As he says this, he pulls out small pins depicting a silver harp nestled between the horns of a crescent moon and sets them on the table. Ontharr sets down similar pins, these depicting a gauntlet grasping a sword by the blade.
Fjordix can't help but stare at the bottle of Red Wine. Knowing it was the best in the city made it all that more tempting, "...killing dragons" Fjordix says only half paying attention, but completely in response to Ontharr's question about what could be better than spending days wrought in danger and stress. As Leosin returns and puts the pints down on the table he reaches out and picks up one of each, looking them over. "Fancy pins..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Rex looks the pins over and takes a glass of the wine, “Bit hesitant around organizations that offer me wine and the destruction of my enemies, blame it on old habits, but... you have my attention. I believe that you both may have intentions very similar to mine. Alright, lay the pitch on me. What do these pins mean?”

Let’s take a look! Rex’s Arcana: 2. I know nothing. Maybe less than nothing.
Meanwhile, in the tavern, “That we were, Leosin.” Rex places the journal on the table, “Their next target. Also, we killed Frulam. Langdedrosa too.”

Arcana as well 11
I do think over the journey I would have wanted to connect with the group on whether we talk about the eggs and what we did with them.
You would also all notice that Arliden is basically mapping our travels out as we move using his cartography tools.

Does Rex recognize either of these emblems?
