If it comes to Leon's turn...
Feeling the soothing warmth of healing magic spread out from a soft hand on his shoulder, Leon would give the cleric a nod of thanks, then his eyes would narrow in focus as he speaks words of magic once again.
Actually, it was Leon who went first - and miss. But at least Alyssa's healing got through and Leon, if not completely healed, feels much better nevertheless.

Now it's up to Ramious to finish off the fight!
Yep, mine was just in case it got back around to Leon.
The last troglodyte of the not-so-long-ago-big unit, surrounded by scary people with weapons, burned and morally destroyed drops to the floor and begins to weep, mumbling something in a language, you do not understand. Though, there is something, resembling word "chief" in this whimpering.
"Stay your hands friend." Leon calls out, as he pulls back his own blade from a strike. "We might be able to learn something of use here..." He glances to the others. "Does anyone have a way to open up communications with this one?"
He will then turn to the cowering creature. In both common and deep speech he will say... "Can you understand my words?"
Alyssa would tilt her head to the side in curiosity. Hue would do the same. She'll look into her spellbook and thumb through a couple pages before pursing her lips. The elf would shrug. She may only be able to try attempting to discern the creatures intent, but had no spell available to her today to communicate with it.

Ramious seems to control himself, his rage evaporating as he looks around abashed at the group....his embarrassment at his complete ineffectiveness seemingly acting like a potent cure for his sudden anger. He stalks away as the group attempts to try and communicate with their prison, walking around the room staring at the floor, shaking his head and muttering to himself. (Perception 8)
In Infernal Ramious mutters, "Not unless he speaks the language of the devils..."
Nope, the language of the devils was also unknown to the creature. But Ramious's curiosity seemed to worry the trog. He stopped whimpering and tried show by all possible means, that the southern passage is bad for some reason. It looked almost comical if not for dead bodies of the floor and half burned skin of the "comic": troglodyte waved his hands at the south passage and made quiet but scary growls, as if imitating some big creature. Then he would point to the passage you came from (judging by the waving, he meant that the good way is the turn to the north) and repeated many times "chief" (with a heavy accent, but understandable).
"He's only being nice to us because he fears for his life," Cinder sneers. "If his friends had gotten the jump on us, he'd be feasting on our bones right now." She turns to Leon and crosses her arms. "If he's so afraid of the southern passage, make him walk it in front of us," she says bluntly.

Ramious takes his blade out and tries to smash the creature over the head with his hilt. (subduing damage) Attack: 21 Damage: 8
He frowns, "We don't need this thing yelling an alarm at the wrong time or turning on us when we're in battle. Kill it or don't, I don't much care. I think we should go right and keep looking around up here before going lower."
He wanders over to the right passage, and heads down, assuming nobody says otherwise. (Stealth: 11, Perception: 14)
The troglodyte dropped on the floor among dead bodies without a pip. Ramious silently (as much as armour allowed) moved toward the southern opening, that scared trog so much. It does not take that much observation to first smell a big beast inside and then to notice it. A big owlbear is soundly sleeping there by the wall.
"South it is then..." Leon says with a sigh. He does not appear overly concerned with the knocked-out creature and steps over the other dead bodies as he moves to follow, reclaiming his torch as he moves.
"Must be a deep sleeper then." Leon says with a glance in that direction. "Leave it or deal with it first?" He asks the others. He doesn't like the idea of leaving a danger at their back, but also doesn't see any reason to bother the creature if there is no reason to do so. "Is there more tunnels that way, or is it a dead-end?" He asks Ramious.
Ramious shrugs, "More tunnels. Let's go deal with it. I'll charge in and wrestle it to the ground, and then the rest of you kill it. Ok?" His face shows no sign of humor...or...fear. You're wondering if it also shows a total lack of intelligence or understanding. Regardless, he stands there waiting for the group to seemingly agree with his plan.

Cinder follows slowly after the others. She stops at the unconscious troglodyte, then sighs. "I don't know where the others got their sudden bout of generosity. But you're humanoid flesh-eating evil personified. And I'm not your lunch, I'm not the object of your future childrens' revenge, and I'm not really that nice of a person, either. Plus, I don't like leaving loose ends untied." She raises her pick, and smashes it down, her hair flaring up as she does so.
Attack: 21 Damage: 6 (Prophetic state for advantage, auto crit if it hits... if she misses, I'm going to call it divine favor that the trog gets to live.)
Cleaning off her pick, she follows after the others, stopping when she sees Leon and Ramious discussing the owlbear. She shrugs in agreement, holding her pick up, ready to use it. "As long as you can take the beating it might give you while you wrestle it down, my big strong man," she says wryly.
A sleeping owlbear? It sounds so cute. But, it totally wouldn't be cute if it woke up and attacked us. I wish I could make it our friend... Why literally try poking the bear? Alyssa would chew on her lip. Oh my gods. I'm the sensitive one aren't I? The one with the most feelings?
"See, told mom I shoulda been a druid..." Alyssa would mutter under her breath to Hue. She'd let out a sigh. Logically, the elf agreed with Ramious.

Judging by the look on his ... face? troglodyte did not understand a thing, though Common seemed more familiar to him.
