During these times of social distancing i am unable to run my usual home game. Now that i have spare time i would be ready to run a small, simple game in a world i created. I intend it to be a small group of three players, four max if there are many interested. For stats, roll 4d6 drop lowest and reroll 1s once. For races id like to keep it to the phb. if your concept requires another race, feel free to ask. We will start at 1st level. Use standart equipment.
The story will take place in Gandria, an island filled with Grassland, Forests, Mountains and more. On the map (i am currently unable to import it, will do as soon as possible) are marked the largest, most important settlements: Pirn: Capital of the human kingdom. Because of its central location, it is a great trading place. Borso: A mining town. the habitants suffer from sleepdeprivation. There may be ties to krash's tooth. Luto: Situated next to Lake Lumis, there is Luto. Comfortable Holes, as well as Towers conected with bridges make up this village. Kelldur: A large city under the mountain. The entire place is stuffed with mines. Dwarfes share their city with Rock Gnomes that are also drawn towards stone and metals. Fi'ridas: Famous for tea and herbs. the place to go when in need of potions. Di'rios: A small elven outpost that doubles as trading post for the surrounding Gnome villages.
Interesting Locations: Krash's Tooth: The highest mountain. Tales exist that say its remains of krash, a world devouring beast. Lake Lumis: In moonlight the water glows as if it was filled with stars. Dimmodeus' Leap: A gnome named Dimmodeus Dims tried his flying-apparatus at this cliffside. It didnt work out for him. Kannr Peaks: Mountain range in the northern parts of the Land. Rich in minerals. The Frozen Plains: Tundra north east of the Belt. Inhabited mostly by Orcs and the ocasional Hill Giant. The Morlov Swamp: Nasty, sludgy water, infested with leeches. But the swamp is also home to rare, valuable plants.
If you miss information about the world ask any time. I'll answer as soon as i can.
For your character i would like to know: Name Race Class and Background A little backstory Their goal for adventuring A link to the character sheet would be appreciated.
Name Herman Race human (variant) Class and Background: barbarian, sailor A little backstory: Herman grew up by the lake of Lumis, he is the son of a chief barbarian so he received a little of warfare tactics. Their goal for adventuring: it depends on the synopsis A link to the character sheet (to be adapted, I guess it is level 1, but I didn't see it written anywhere): https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/dndpro100/characters/2008966
Name: Kathleen Burnes Race: High Elf Class: Rogue (Will multiclass into fighter at second level) Background: Noble [Slightly modified: History replaced with Survival] A little Backstory: Kathleen was the eldest daughter of a noble elven house. Failing to make her lady-like and prevent her from going off to explore with friends (who were neither elves nor nobles) her parents sent her to the military uncle, who was a commander in Di'rios handle it. They thought the tough life of a soldier at the outpost would make her long for the luxuries of home but it didn't work. She was adjusting really well in the new environment and made a few friends. However, she ran away to start a new life after a particularly nasty monster attack killed all her friends, leaving herself and her uncle the only survivors out of the company of 7. She is now adventuring under the new name, "Kathleen Burnes" Reason for adventuring: No real reason beyond just traveling and seeing as much of the world that she can. Name: Leelan Dapper Race: Forest Gnome Class and Background: Ranger/Sage A little backstory: Leelan grew up in a village in near Di'rios. His parents were merchant and so gave him the best education money could provide by sending him to the capital of Pirn. There, he studied various domains: history, medicine, magic, etc. He became a respected member of the academic community. However, what fascinated him most where the monster in the wilderness. He took every opportunity he could to go on expedition, until one day, he decided to go out and catalogue monsters in the wild in an almanach. Their goal for adventuring: Discover monsters and observe their behavior to put in an almanach.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Name: Liadon (False Identity) Race: Elf (False Identity) Class and Background: Warlock & Guild Merchant (Charlatan) A little backstory: Growing up as an orphan was hard enough, but being a <Hidden> nearly killed Liadon. Luckily for him, he was caught pick-pocketing his future mentor. Rather than admonish the child, he took him in as an apprentice. From 7 to 17, his mentor taught him everything he knew, until he suddenly disappeared. Liadon has yet to find out what happened to him, but always keeps an eye and ear for his former mentor. Meanwhile, his skills as a Guild Merchant (Charlatan) backslid with the loss of his mentor, and he was homeless and desperate on the streets once again. He cursed the world around him - their innate distrust of <Hidden>, the unfair societal statuses, the cruelty of fate vs the blessing of privilege. Fed up and desperate, Liadon swore a pact to himself to fight against these self-proclaimed injustices. To his surprise, The Great Old One consecrated his pact, blessing him with the powers and knowledge of a Warlock. Liadon is seldom compelled to act upon his pact, at least he thinks so. He spends most of his time fighting those injustices he comes upon in his nomadic lifestyle; the luxurious accommodations are just a bonus. Their goal for adventuring: Fun? The only thing Liadon takes seriously are money, his own hide, and his hatred for undeserved status. I've also never played a Warlock.
Johan worships a twilight god who values those creatures that walk between. Between planes, between shapes, between life and death, good and evil. Johan hopes to become one of them, by consuming them.
