The smoking mirror cultist runs out of the burning deck, and takes their attacks on Ardeth. They also take an additional 15 fire damage.

Griffon 8 drops their last keg at the boat.
Boat DEX save: 6 on fail, bomb targets 4 and takes 19 fire damage. The boat hits a wave and the keg misses the sail post by a centimeter, and falls into the ocean.
Ardeth looks at the burning deck. If nothing is done...the deck could collapse and the boat will sink! Ardeth hands emit a sleet one last time..****y this time the target is the deck! A whirlwind of sleet covers the boat's deck and completely extinguishes the fire! Ardeth purposely aims to avoid the cultist, who is still burning on fire in front of him .
The ballista aims and fires at Griffon 4.

The remaining crossbow shoots at griffon 5.
Grappling crossbow Attack: 7 Damage: 4
The crossbow hits and Griffon 5 is now grappled!
Griffon 5 uses it action to attempt to break the grapple.
Griffon: 19 vs Boat: 12 The griffon breaks free, but ends its turn.

Griffon 1 drops their last keg on the boat, but the kegs drops into Ardeth's sleet storm! The keg freezes on the descent, and harmlessly bounces off the deck and into the ocean.

Griffon 8 and the cultist riding see defeating nearing, and will dash away from the ship. They are flying faster than the boat, and are able to get 160 feet ahead. It is still in ranch of the ship's ballista.

With that, the last griffon falls to the barrage of attacks! The remaining griffon is fleeing the scene and heading for the island of Elsath. It looks as though the cultists have beat you to the island...but you've held this attack off!
The damage to the boat is major, but still sea worthy. The captain barks out orders rapidly to repair the critical damages. The remaining crew is close to bare bone, but according to the captain he can manage. He tells you that your an hour away from the landing spot he mentioned. You all can rest on your remaining journey. A feeling of anxiousness may be settling on you all. This is a large task ahead of you, saving the world from a great evil. But you feel more ready for such a task, you may feel confident or bold. Ready to take on anything this lost city has to throw at you. You all are now level 9!
As mentioned, we are going to skip straight to the city itself. I will have this prepped for you all tomorrow. Please level up your characters and take a long rest. Your journey into the shunned city will begin soon!!

He congratulates with his mate for the battle while he realizes he did not participate but a little in it: so he decides to contrentrate his rage against these cultists (1 level of Barbarian)

and also realizes he would have been better with a longbow instead of a crossbow: quicker even if less lethal, so he volounteers to fix the ship for the remaining hour or so of the voyage and asks around if anyone of the crea would banter his crossbow for a longbow (@DM tell me if he finds one)
