The guards caught in the blast move forward, putting some distance between them and the flaming sphere. The first one reaches Rhok and tries to bite him (Attack: 18 Damage: 6) and hit him with a shortsword (Attack: 9 Damage: 5).
Seeing the entrance blocked by their companion, the other two cry for help and take aim with hand crossbows to shoot at Xarroth (Attack: 21 Damage: 8) and Lothlién (Attack: 9 Damage: 5).
You hear voices replying to them and see two more humanoid figures arrive from the northern part of the room.

Lia manages to move her feet out of the rat's fangs. Meanwhile, Don-Jon stabs the giant rat that bit him twice, then turns and finishes the next one over with two quick jabs.
Xarroth fires two orbs at the wererats, the first impacts the rat engaged with Rhok, making it recoil. The second one hits a support beam on the ceiling, making some dust fall over the combat area.
