(I am truly sorry for my lack in posting everyone.)
Adas had been quiet throughout the shopping trip and seemed much calmer as they walked in the forest. As they came upon the scene before them he would draw his bow from his hip sheath and then cant elven words of prayer to Bless Vimak, Prosper and Tahnis. He keeps pace with Tahnis to prepare a volley of his own.
Prosper shrieks as the monster talks. "It can speak? Does it understand me? What are you?" and follows up by cursing fluently when the arrow misses, already nocking another to her bow.
[ She would be at C9, right outside the gate, if my sense of direction isn't horribly wrong. Seconding on the nice map thing!]

(It's still the first round since we were waiting for Adas' move. I'll use Tahnis' last post in the second round.)
Adas runs up next to Tahnis, drawing their bow and casting Bless to aid his companions.
The creature rises 30ft up into the air and moves closer to the group. As Prosper shouts at it, it roars back. "I AM ME! YOU ARE FOOD!" It whips it's tail three times, spikes fly out and aiming for Vimak, the biggest and closest of the group.
Tail Spike vs Vimak 1:25Damage: 7 Tail Spike vs Vimak 2:24Damage: 8 Tail Spike vs Vimak 3:13Damage: 6
The first spike goes wide, embedding itself into the ground next to Vimak, but the other two manage to strike him in the chest for a total of 11 damage
MAP
(The small green dots on each character represents Bless. For those affected, you can add 1d4 to any attack roll or saving throw. Also, just a reminder of which colour represents which character.)
Adas - Green Prosper - Purple Robwin - Orange Tahnis - Blue Vimak - Grey
Robwin watches as the beast beats it's wings once, twice, and rises up in to the air over Vimak. Stunned stupid by the shear size of the creature (now fully apparent in the sky), for a second Robwin can do nothing... can't speak... can't move... Then the tail lashes, and spikes impale Vimak... thud, thud, thud...
An arrow speeds through the air, doing massive damage to the beast, and somehow snapping Robwin out of his stupor...
"VIMAK!!!!...no!...", he screams, racing forward, heedless now of any danger, and trying to put himself between the monster and his friend. His magical armour and ward crackling with sparks...
Unable to quite make it, he pulls up short just beside Vimak (OOC: E12? via the gap at B9?). And bracing himself against the recoil, he holds both arms out, locked together at the wrists, fingers splayed, and casts magic missile: Damage 11... ...three blasts of orange energy hit the creature in quick succession for a thud, thud, thud of his own...
Vimak reacts with Stone's Endurance, shaking off 13 hit points of damage, like goliath's do. (OOC: Potatocrown, do you like to manage hit points, or would you like us to?) He grins at Robwin's missiles and way they burn the beast. Inspired, and feeling blessed, he heaves his other handaxe: 17 + 1 to hit for 9 damage.
Robwin looks up amazed at Vimak’s superhuman endurance. ‘Oh hell yeah’ he mutters to himself. A wicked grin spreading across his face as he levels his attention back at the creature before them.

(I'll trust you guys to handle your own HP. Also, Vimak, the creature is 30ft in the air so your hand axe would be at disadvantage due to it being out of range. I'll roll it for you.)
Vimak Handaxe Dis:16 Prosper Shortbow vs Creature:14Damage: 5
Tahnis continues to fire his arrows at the creature, eyes flashing blue for but a split second as he casts Hunter's Mark. His arrow lands and sinks deep into the creatures chest.
Robwin sends off three missiles of force into the creature and they all hit it in the exact same plae as Tahnis' arrow, causing it even more pain.
Seeing the spikes come his way, Vimak grins and flexes, his skin becoming like stone causing the two spikes to bounce off his body pathetically. Bringing out his hand axe, he throws it at the creature, though he throws it a little too enthusiastically as it flies right over its head.
Adas follows up with an arrow of their own after Tahnis, just managing to catch it in the creatures shoulder.
Prosper, with an arrow already nocked, fires another shot at the creature. It follows Vimak's hand axe, however, and flies straight over the creature's head. ----
The creature definitely looks weaker as the party continues their volley of attacks against it. Despite this, it laughs at Vimak and Prosper's missed attacks before letting out another roar and sending out three more spikes from its tail, this time going for Robwin.
Tail Spike vs Robwin 1:19 Damage: 9 Tail Spike vs Robwin 2:8 Damage: 4 Tail Spike vs Robwin 3:13 Damage: 6
Only the first spike manages to strike him, for 5 damage, as the others bounce off his mage armor.

Prosper continues to run closer to the monster, almost charging straight at it before it shot spikes at Robwin, prompting her to skid to a careful halt, unconsciously ducking even if it wasn't aimed at her. (She'd be at F11)
"That's really unnecessarily rude you know! If you stop with the aggressive language maybe you'd have more friends."
Contrary to her own plea for friendship, Prosper fires off another arrow without hesitation, fingers crossed (metaphorically) and muttering a prayer to whichever god was listening under her breath for this arrow to hit. [Attack: 28 Damage: 14]
OOC: Apologies for not replying! Internet died in the night and spent the entire morning fixing it.
Also, this is more of a next-turn thing, but would it be possible for me to misty step on top of it as it flew above Prosper?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the monster fires three spikes at Robwin, his armour flares bright. Two spikes 'ping' harmlessly off. The other lodges inches from his chest, embedded in his shimmering arcane ward instead, leaving him completely unscathed...(OOC: 5hp deducted from ward hp).
He nods at Prosper’s arrival beside him, pleased to have the support.
Then he grits his teeth and casts fire bolt at the monster: Attack: 10 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
[edit] OOC: hmm not sure why damage roll didn’t work. Tried the combat dice roller. Still learning this system. I’ll roll again with the standard dice roller: Damage:8
Keeping an eye on his friends he is happy to see they are doing quite well for themselves and are not in need of any magical assistance. He draws again and fires.
Longbow Attack: 14 Piercing Damage: 8
Using a faithful shooting technique he quickly nocks another arrow and lets loose. (War priest ability)

(Yeah, sure @ Prosper.)
Prosper runs closer to the creature, firing off another arrow as she gets close and tearing through its flesh.
Robwin follows up with a firebolt that sears through its fur and flesh, leaving a large black mark.
Tahnis and Adas fire off their arrows. Tahnis' goes wide but Adas manages to get two clean hits on the creature.
The creature looks to be on its last legs, barely managing to stay in the air. Vimak throws his last handaxe, trying to finish it off, but it flies between it's wings.
---- The creature begins to back away before throwing another 3 spikes at Robwin.
Tail Spike vs Robwin 1:8 Damage: 11 Tail Spike vs Robwin 2:10 Damage: 9 Tail Spike vs Robwin 3:15 Damage: 7
Once again, only one spike manages to break through Robwin's mage armor. The creature is begins to look panicked but does not run away.

OOC: This is a nice map! So, if we've arrived from the NW and each square is five feet, Vimak is standing in F12.
