Alianna calls on the elements to enable her spell and casts a Ray of Frost at the mosquito-bat.
Attack 11 + 5 = 16.

OOC: Since Farnakees already killed the one that tried to attack Rast, Alianna targets the stunned one snuggling up to Mithrokk's armpit and wakes the dwarf.
OOC - I'm giving the killing blow to Farnakess, since he posted first ...
Farnakees strikes the stirge with his longsword ... actually, poked it is more accurate. That little pinprick causes the stirge to explode in a mess of blood and guts all over Rastaris's face. Some of it probably got into his mouth ... hope he didn't swallow ...
After this excitement with the stirges, the party's rest by the side of the road is uneventful.
OOC - Press the long rest button on your character sheets.
OOC - What did you do to the stirges? Is the party going to do something gross like cook them for breakfast?
Everyone seems refreshed this morning ... except for Lathalas. The elf wakes up with a chill in his bones and struggles to crawl out of his bedroll. It is clear to everyone in the party that he is suffering some sort of ailment.
OOC - Lathalas has one level of exhaustion, and did not regain any hit points from the long rest. He seems to be suffering from some kind of disease.
Rastaris packs his belongings. Using some water from his water skin, he cleans his face as best he can. He collects some of the remains of the stirges and places them in a bottle.
Lathalas turns to his dwarf friend, "I humbly beg the SoulForge's blessing today."
Mithrokk bends down towards his fallen friend to provide a healing touch. He closes his eyes, clears his mind, and silently reaches out to a presence he's known all his life. After a few moments, he emerges from his short trance and says, "The Soul Forger be with you."
OOC: Mithrokk will use his Lay on Hands ability on Lathalas to expel this disease that Lathalas is suffering from.
OOC: If the disease is cured, does that also remove the exhaustion?
After the paladin treats Lathalas, Rastaris suggests they try to reach Gnomengarde as soon as possible. He does not like the idea that there are orcish patrol in the vicinity.
Farnakees tells Lathalas, "if my shield could protect you from this disease, my shield would be yours. My mom would get angry though. She'd always say - with your shield or on it. If I gave you my shield.... oh never mind, just get better."
OOC - The Lay on Hands will remove the exhaustion, but Lathalas still wasn't able to regain hit points during the long rest.
The party should reach Gnomengarde sometime in the early afternoon.
About twenty meters up the trail, the party comes upon the body of an exsanguinated orc -- its body full of needle-like holes. A broken greataxe lies next to the corpse.
OOC - We'll continue the adventure tomorrow. Did you guys eat the stirges?
Farnakees Initiative - lower of (2 and 10) + 2 = 4
Alianna Initiative- 9 + 2 =11 or 15 + 2= 17
CON check: 9 + 3 = 12
OOC - Huh? I said no need to roll initiative. Just attack the thing; trust me -- if you hit it, it dies.
OOC - Rastaris can also attack, since he woke up with this thing trying to poke out his eye.
All Right: Farnakees Attacks this stirge 17 + 5 = 22

OOC: So this means I kill it.
OOC - That's it ...

"Shall we proceed to Gnomengarde?"
"Lathalas, you look unwell."
"I feel even worse," the elf mumbles as he crawls back into his bedroll.

OOC: Mithrokk will use his Lay on Hands ability on Lathalas to expel this disease that Lathalas is suffering from.
OOC: Will this take care of the exhaustion as well? If not, can we continue to camp so Lath can recover from exhaustion before heading to Gnomengarde?
Lathalas bows his head in gratitude.
OOC: If the disease is cured, does that also remove the exhaustion?
After the paladin treats Lathalas, Rastaris suggests they try to reach Gnomengarde as soon as possible. He does not like the idea that there are orcish patrol in the vicinity.
While waiting for MIthrokk to heal Lathalas, Alianna dissects a stirge and like Rast, puts some interesting bits in a bottle with some blood.
"I'm sure Mithrokk will be done shortly and you'll feel better."
Farnakees tells Lathalas, "if my shield could protect you from this disease, my shield would be yours. My mom would get angry though. She'd always say - with your shield or on it. If I gave you my shield.... oh never mind, just get better."
To the DM: Around what time do we arrive at Gnomengarde?
OOC - The Lay on Hands will remove the exhaustion, but Lathalas still wasn't able to regain hit points during the long rest.
