"No." Gadhan says and grabs the goblin's small hand. "This is the future of our group, not mine being read. You have been burdened, I too shake take a burden on my shoulder.". And Gadhan takes the next card.
Gadhan halts Gekk’s movement towards the fourth card that will be revealed. The darkness of the tent seems to sink into itself, a bottomless pit of black with thick mist flowing through the divide. You can almost hear the faint playing of a bard at one of your favorite taverns Gadhan as you reach for the card, the faint sound of laughing in your ear. Until you turn it over, and feel a small cut at the top of your index finger from turning it over. The edges had been deceivingly sharp, and you don’t seem to be hearing laughing any more. The tarokka card being face up, you all now see this;
Gadhan you begin to feel parts of your body crumble, you look down and see cracks across your skin as if you were porcelain. The laughing from before that had been a comfort has morphed into a faint terrified screaming of a familiar female voice. When he speaks, you all hear as if Gadhan was whispering this to your ears. His eyes are pure black as he looks up and says,
“This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness.”
The smoke begins begins to swirl once again, yet now you guys see that the shadows seem to join in the dance. It continues until there’s no one but you all, Madam Eva, and those cards left in dark. The figures and memories you all had seen in the mist seem to become vivid to a point, the voices faint and whispering but present. Gadhan appears to be breathing heavily and looking down, until once again he suddenly looks up. Those who look close would see what appears to a storm of black in his eyes, and in a deeper than you all could ever imagine his voice going he speaks once again into the void,
”Seek out the brother of the devil’s bride. They call him “the lesser,” but he has a powerful soul.”
The dark hugs you all close as Gadhan finishes his premonition, his large form slumping back into his seat. He curiously seems to have some blood flowing from his ear as he sits that you all would notice. Gadhan himself however feels himself get lost in those brief seconds he’d been falling back to the chair behind him.
Gadhan:
You feel yourself become hyper focused on the fact that you’d fallen back because you had faith that the chair would still be there. This train of thought is broken as you find yourself lost in the dark, you feel mud and grass beneath your feet but see nothing. All you hear is the pained and terrified screams of Minerva,
“No! Please I’m sorry! Don’t do this to me! Please! HELP! SOMEONE HELP!!”
The screams are heard in every single direction, and only increase in volume and the pure fear being heard in her voice over time. You wander for awhile before the screaming begins to get louder and louder, to the point where you feel your ears begin to bleed. As you close your eyes for but a brief second from the pain, you open them and find yourself in your seat.
Tahnis shakes his head, remembering the vision he just saw before turning to the others. He kept his mouth shut while trying to discern the vision what the words meant.
Shayne applauds softly and slowly, but honestly. The show had been done masterfully and Shayne McGowan always enjoyed a good show. “Well done, Madam. Masterfully done. It has been an honor to watch you at your craft.”
Shayne stands up and gives the old lady a deep bow. “I am humbled by your skills.Truly I am. And if we’re being honest, and I always am unless circumstances warrant otherwise, I’m also a bit scared by them.I’ve always believed a man shouldn’t know too much about his future, nor admit too much of his past.As such...” Shayne hesitated. He had considered having Fammy, his cat familiar, jump upon the table and turn over the remaining card... he had considered summoning an Unseen Servant to do similarly...but Shayne did not wish to trick or offend his hosts.
“There are five cards and I count the same in this marvelous troupe I’ve recently joined. Each but I has turned a card,” Shayne continued thoughtfully, stretching out a hand and letting one finger caress the edge of the remaining unrevealed card.“I am tempted, Madam. Sorely tempted.Your skills amaze and how can one not be curious about what is to come?”
Shayne’s finger ever so slightly lifts the corner of the remaining card...and then lets it fall back to the table unseen.“My deepest apologies. You are an amazing woman with skills unmatched, but some things are best left untold.”
With that Shayne will again bow to the fortune teller, this time with a bow of the head as well, intended to convey respect, and then turn to make his way out of the tent before any more can be revealed...
((If fog or shadow or such blocks him, so be it, Shayne won’t make a scene trying to exit. But if stopped he’ll keep his head down and faced away from the table making it clear he’s trying to ignore whatever may be told.))
"Shayne... I hate to say it, but this all sounds real important. And besides, we're all okay its just kinda... jarring. I think it may be important for you to flip the last card. And besides, I know that curiosity is getting to you." Gekks rebulids a confident facade as he speaks giving small motions and cracking a bit of a genuine smile whilst talking to Shayne.

Shayne pauses at the flap of the tent and listens to Gekk, and then Tahnis. He opens the flap, just a smidge... and Fammy darts out into the night. Shayne pauses for a beat, then turns and strides boldly to the table. "Well if we're going to be a team, we might as well be a team," Shayne says as he flips over the last card.
Shayne inches closer to the card, and boldly goes to flip it over. You all would also see that the mist seems to die out, flooding out from the tent through the small opening that Shayne had created before returning to the table. The sounds and faint visions that had haunted party’s peripheries escape you all, and once again the party finds themselves in just a striped tent furnished very humbling for the old woman. The light in the crystal dies out as the final card is turned, and you all see on the other side...
The face of the card appearing completely burnt, the image completely indecipherable.
The hairs on the back of your neck raise Shayne as goosebumps appear all across your body, a cold breeze passing through the striped flaps of the tent. It’s deadly silent as the incense all across the room stops burning suddenly as Madam Eva looks across the table at you all. There’s a 10 second pause as she stares with almost a stone faced expression, her eyes analyzing the bard in particular before the old woman suddenly claps and with a gummy smile moves to collect the cards. She, however, leaves the burnt one in front of you Shayne. After collecting them and standing up to relight the candles that lay on the many surfaces within the large tent, she says with a light hearted tone,
”Weeeell wasn’t that an exciting reading!”
After her comment she goes to sit sit down, and seems to pull out and smoke some herbs out of a very intricately carved wooden pipe of what seems to be a dragon. The aroma is pungent as it fills the room, but not in the mystical way like it had seemed with the incense. She seems to just be considering you all with a smile before saying in a kind voice,
“Ask questions if you have any, but if you don’t I’m sure Atticus will take care of you and get you settled into the camp if need be. Though you guys are free to leave tonight or tomorrow I’d like to talk you all before you set out if you don’t mind.”
"Did I do that?" Shayne asks quizzically, having expected something quite... different. "My apologies if I ruined your reading, madam. I surely never intended to interrupt your show." Shayne looks from one to another to another of his companions, trying to impress his apology upon then, and his confusion.
"Still, it's not like this is totally inappropriate," Shayne says as he tentatively reaches out to pick up the card, looking at the old woman for permission first. "I've always known I would come to a bad end. The fire burns out of all lives eventually, leaving nothing but the ashes of what could have been, no? I'm not sure how I feel about having that confirmed though. A part of me had hoped I would be the exception, that I would live on and on spreading the music and tales to new people forever and on. Perhaps I am growing too old for such delusions though. And I do have the comfort of not knowing what happens between now... And the future this card shows."
Shayne turns the card this way and that, examining it. "The card does appear utterly destroyed. I do hope my future hasn't ruined your deck... But if indeed the card is ruined I wonder, would I be able to keep it? As a memento perhaps? It would please me to remember this unique encounter. I also like the idea that I would carry my future with me."
Tahnis nods. "I'm sure Madam Eva is resourceful enough to find or build a new tarot deck. "I am fine with staying the night with the Vistanis or beginning our journey in the morning." He turns to Madam Eva. "Forgive me if I sound crass in asking, but we're not sure what we're dealing with. It seems we have the information to go on our quest, but I still wonder what this quest entails, specifically who this Strahd we are supposed to confront. I apologize, my parents always taught me that is better to gather as much information as possible before catching the culprit. Though I'm guessing we're going to do more than capture this devil."

Madam Eva looks to you all with softly as she takes huffs from her pipe, she replies to all sitting in her chair that you hadn’t noticed until now was a rocking chair. Looking to Shayne she says,
“Very beautifully put Mr. McGowan, you’ve quite the way with words. But you mustn’t worry that you had ruined the reading in any way, it will always play out as it was meant to.”
She hands Gadhan her pipe and tells him to feel free to enjoy as he sees fit. Once taking hit from her pipe Gadhan you feel yourself become slowly dazed, and you enter a pleasant high that thrums warmth throughout your body. Your eyelids are heavy and you feel yourself naturall want to smile, as the smoke you exhale seems to form the shapes of Gadhan’s happiest memories. The rest of you only see normal smoke. Her eyes return to Shane,
“But yes you may keep the card if you wish Shayne, your fate is always yours.”
At Tahnis’ questions Madam Eva turns to him and gives a golden toothed smile before saying,
”What would you like to know Tahnis, I am ever ready to provide answers.”
Tahnis feels he can trust Madam Eva. He glances back at the door before turning to her. "Why are the Vistani asking us to fight this Strahd. They admitted they were allies with him, but now they want him taken care of. Stanimir explained the prince turned into a tyrant, but that doesn't explain why the Vistani want to destroy him. Did Strahd do something to Stanimir? Did he do something to the Vistani that caused them to seek outside help?

Silent Blade loo around the table. Cocking her head at each one of her companions. And then back to Madam Eva. Tahnis's voice comes from her beak. "Vistani asking us to fight this Strahd". And then with a crooked, slightly menacing curve of her beak, meant to be a menacing smile she makes the sound of her name. the sound of a blade sliding into unprotected flesh. The eagerness in her eyes apparent as a dagger appears in her hand.
