Shere expresses his concerns whispering "As badly hurrt as we arre, why are we perrsisting? See all the blood on Daemyar? We need anotherr rest. Or even to come back later if we can amigo's"
Krom grabs his axe and quickly moves to get back with his retreating comrades. You’re assembled at the door when Shere whispers his concern....what do you wish to do?
This octogonal room is like the others you have recently opened. The door pushes inward silently to reveal.....nothing much at all. The usual assortment of luminescent fungi and various toadstools and mushrooms greet you, your darkvision showing a variety of shadows of varying darkness, but no hostile enemies lie in wait for you in this room.
Peering around the corner to your left, you see a wooden door - as far as you can tell, the only exit out of this room.
Krom taps the butt of battleaxe on the stone floor, "The cat is right. We ought to be findin' a place to rest 'fore movin' on. Some of us might not make it if we keep goin' at this rate." His eyes scan around the room they just opened, "This room would be as good as any, far as I'm concerned. Only two ways in and we know the way we came is cleared."

[I'm inclined to allow another long rest here if you want to. However, remember, not every encounter must be combat-oriented. That's a choice you make. Use your resources well! If you do take the long rest, any of you with inspiration will use it up to do so, in order to gain the benefits of the long rest. Also, Ithelion has been doing an amazing job of keeping track of inventory. Please look HERE and double check your inventories accordingly (especially the potions of healing!)]
Ithelion does not really need a long rest per se, but would like an opportunity to study her books. She talks with her companions for a while then settles down, cleans her clothes and gear, and begins her rest.
Okay, you all settle down in the dark for a long rest, clearing off a space on the floor where you are able. Your eyes linger over the room, scouring it for hidden entrances or holes - anything where creatures might be able to come through. Your thoughts drift back to the centipedes you encountered what seems like a lifetime ago with concern. You also look at the door in the south and the door to the south-south-west. 4. 3.
Who ever is taking a watch, roll perception check please.
Ithelion, you pour over your books and use much of your time studying and committing the cantrip to memory, the familiar gestures and words coming back to you. The thought of not being able to clean your clothes properly weighs on you in the back of your mind, but you've made your decision.
As people set up watches, Ithelion recalls Elosa and sets her on her shoulder with instructions to watch as well.
Ithelion Perception: 21 (passive 13)
Elosa Perception: 23 (passive 18)
Just a reminder - you are in darkness, there is no light source. So for Elosa and those of you with darkvision, it is dim light. Luckily, Elosa's sense of hearing is phenomenal. Unfortunately, other than mice, insects, and the occasional drip of water, nothing disturbs your rest.
All: Eight hours later you find yourselves rested but miserable. The damp air, coldness, lack of fire, and the spores and mushrooms all combine into a terrible cocktail. There is a sense of urgency as another day passes underground and you still haven't found the legendary fruit, the last Hucrele twin (Sharwyn) or the priest of Pelor (Sir Bradford), or the one called Belak. It all feels like it's coming to a head, but maybe that's just a dim hope that comes from being underground in the dark and rot for extended periods of time. Nevertheless, you pack up camp and make ready to resume your delve into the depths once more.....

Garnet nods to Krum, “Agreed. I could use a rest I think. We are in a good spot to do so.”
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
