( they seemed interested in elosa, she can lure them to us so we can take them by surprise, the caltrops are only to slow them down but i don't think they are necessary now

He then will move behind the small outcropping of rock at Q4.
Well, neither you nor them have engaged with one another yet. The reason for two of them and Elosa and Daemyar was because they are in range/attacking.
NB2's attack hits Elosa and see squawks and disappears!

As Daemyar peeks out from behind the outcropping, he fires at NB2 with his heavy crossbow: Attack:21Damage:10 plus sneak attack if a hit 10. Daemyar then scampers back in the hallway and gives the rest an update on the situation. "Several enemies: twig blights and those tree creatures who can fling shards. I could not wait. The bird seems gone." He looks at Ithelion sadly.
The rest of the creatures are in range to see him, they definitely see something and move purposefully forward - and they roll initiative: TB1 - 20. TB2 - 5. TB3 - 6. TB4- 21.
At this point, you all should roll initiative as well.
Garnet readies herself behind the door on the other side from Krom, ready to flank and attack when one of the blights appears.
