Funderburk travels with Allister, wanting to know as well, and to receive the bounty also. He travels with him, and once the find and arrive at Zindar, does he tell him about their captured boat The Stirge and the boat they left back at the cove The Emerald Eye. He also tells him about the capture of Captain Worlo, to collect his bounty as well, and asking if there will be any small bonus for capturing his pirate-lings as well.
After talking with Zendar, and everything, I will just follow Allister around helping him try to find any information.
Zindar is pleased to see the party returned. He's overjoyed to see the Stirge in port and readily pays 2000 gold for it and another 500 for the capture of the decaying Worlo. Liara has been rotting in a cell since their departure, where she remains and is ready for transport at Horace's immediate request. He has no other news of the death curse save that several of the inflicted in the city have died because of it.
If you're trying to barter for more gold based on how things happened, that's going to have to be roleplayed out with some dice rolls and whatnot.
Landed in Port Nyanzaru, Sthara sets off on her own, still troubled by Eku's words and by her own weakness of will. She wanders through the streets, ignoring or waving off any merchants that approach her, hoping that by following the path her instincts set, she'll feel a connection to Ubtao again. Only a short time after beginning this journey, she grows frustrated and makes her way to the district where the merchant princes have their homes and approaches a guard.
"Molo apho, guard. Have you seen where Wakanga O'tamu is today? I owe him a tale."
As they sail back to the Port, Boosey busies himself with writing an update report for the Lords Alliance back in Waterdeep.
My Lord Tallmage,
Written from: Port Myanzaru Isle of Chult
A lot has happened since my last report. While my fact finding mission into the "death curse" here is ongoing, it is my belief that there is a way for it to be destroyed. I am working with a talented group of individuals who seem to be working towards the same goal as myself, and as such, we are making a concerted effort to find a way forward. The curse appears to be centred on an artefact known as "Soulmonger". We have not yet discovered it's location, but believe it may be hidden somewhere in Chult's interior. As I write, we have little information to work with, but we are making headway. It is my belief that we will be successful.
Of interest to the Alliance is our most recent venture. With the help of the Flaming FIst, my colleagues and I have attacked and destroyed a Pirate safe haven on the western coast of the island. While many have been killed and taken prisoner, there are still a number unaccounted for. We have a pirate captain, Worlo, in custody who also may be able to provide information on the curse. It is imperative that he is kept alive for the time being so he may be of assistance to us. Another Captain, Laskilar, was captured and in the custody of the Flaming Fist. He has escaped apparently while at sea and disappeared without trace. We suspect magic may be involved.
There is one other Captain and his ship at large. It is regretful that the pirate threat has not been neutralised completely but the Alliance should see a significant decrease in shipping losses in the area. The pirate cove contained many stolen goods originating in the Sword Coast.
Finally I have some bad news. The trusted contact you provided for me at Fort Belurian, Liara Portyr, we discovered was on the payroll of the pirates and facilitating their actions at sea. Thanks to my friends diligence we discovered her treachery soon after arriving at the Fort, and as a result she has been dealt with. Please be assured that she has been handed over to the relevant authorities for them to deal with. For the moment I would consider that matter closed.
Further updates will be forthcoming once new information has arisen.
I remain your obedient servant

Once back in the Port he hands this letter to Zindar with express instructions that it be sent with all speed to Waterdeep, and he asks that any replies that are made, be kept for him at the harbourmasters office.
"Mr. Zindar," Funderburk began as Boosey handed in his letter, "we have another pirate ship, the Emerald Eye, and if you could pay us for that as well, we, or at least I since I ported it, will be able to tell you of its location."
"I would like to also as if we are able to earn a little bit more gold for turning in the pirates that came along with Captain Worlo. The pirates include the ones we captured, and any Mr. Horace captured as well. We are not asking for much, but anything to help along our way."
As the group negotiates with Zindar after Boosey hands him the letter, the Gnome suggests that a bonus might be in order.
"With all due respect, Zindar, we have captured two ships removing their threat from the water for good. Most importantly, at great risk to ourselves, we have managed to infiltrate and destroy their base of operations. While we still have work to do, they have no safe place to sail from and their effective area has been severely limited. I would respectfully suggest, that commercially at least, this will be of great economic benefit to Chult. How much are your traders losing at the moment? With the threat now negligible, and the relevant authorities informed", he gestures at the letter to Waterdeep, "I have no doubt trade will increase rapidly here. That in itself is worth gold, would you not agree?"
"I have been better, and I hope that these last days have been profitable in gold and knowledge for you. I bring a new thread of mystery tied to the Death Curse. Tell me, have you encountered any person with the initials V.S.? Our journey in pursuit of the Curse lead us to the southwest coast, to a den of pirates, one of whom was afflicted and had a letter signed with those letters and instructions to tell a snake woman that there is more information in the Heart of Ubtao." She pauses, pained. "The letter also instructed the pirate to give me a pendant, one with magic on it to identify the location of the piece. And do not worry, I have not forgotten that I owe you a tale–the story has since grown in ways I'd...have preferred it not. In confusing ways."
Nenne, still deeply troubled by what she experienced during the fight for Worlo's soul, grows forlorn at the mention of more people falling to the Death Curse. An almost violet blush comes upon her, and her mind goes far away for a while. "I know there is no temple to Kelemvor here," she says to Zindar. "A pity, as my order specializes in caring for the dying and curing disease that would steal souls before their appointed time. Who in this region has had most contact with people afflicted with the curse? I should like to interview them. I wonder if there is a pattern to how this curse spreads, and what methods have been employed to slow its progress. Any insights could be helpful in stopping the person behind it."
The harbormaster takes the letter from Boosey and promises to send it as quickly as he is available to. He confesses that he is glad to see proof that the Lord's Alliance has stock in the end of this Death Curse. He thinks hard about the gnome and wizard's words before he gives an answer to the proposition, "I believe what you say is true, though I do have to worry. Two pirate captains are missing, but you say their base is burned to the ground. That is most fortunate, though what is to stop them from reacquiring the lone vessel anchored near their cove? Do you not think that the missing ship will try to return to the cove and just find new men for the lost ship? Believe me, you have my thanks a thousand times for doing this deed, but I am afraid I cannot negotiate the terms of the agreement. I will add another 500 to the pot for the destruction of their cove, however." To Nenne he responds, "It is my understanding that the curse never spreads. Even those living in the same poor conditions as the afflicted don't catch it. I can't say if any one region has any more afflicted than another, as I do not know. You could try asking one of the merchant princes or one of the temples for more information."
Wakanga listens to Sthara's tale of hardship and even takes her off to the side where the two can talk in private. The initials V.S. aren't something he recognizes immediately, but he says, "It seems your own fate is tied to this curse if the things you say are as you suspect them to be. My only concern is why this pirate, a villain to be sure, would have a letter for someone seeking to end the curse. Is this V.S. another villain? How do they know of you? Do they know of the rest of your party? There are too many unanswered questions that pull at this thread. I believe I have to say this: Be careful."
„I think I speak for all of us when I accept the extra 500 gold. We will bring back with the fugitive captains once we have taken care of the curse. If you can’t give us any further information my best guess is to talk to the Tymoran priests or the guards in Malar´s Throat. Anyone care to join me? Oh, one more thing. Is there a place where we can change our copper pieces for gold or gems?“
"As harbormaster, I have the capacity to exchange any coin you may wish to trade out. Also, your payment comes in platinum." He instructs another man to see to any coin change you wish to exchange who explains the rate is a flat five gold per thousand gold exchanged.
"I shall accompany you," Nenne says to Allister. "Come find me when you settle payment and we will continue our investigation." Nodding respectfully to Zindar, she leaves to pay Fisher and Wallace one last visit. She will say a brief blessing over them and encourage them to seek redemption for whatever sins they have committed during their days of piracy. She will also give each of them ten gold and encourage them to use it to start new, honest lives.
"Embrace this chance," she bids them, clasping them gently on the shoulder, "for it was not easily won. I will contact you when I can, and I hope you will be able to reply with stories of righteous deeds. Until we meet again, friends, I shall pray Kelemvor's protection on your souls." Then she leaves to wait for Allister and continue learning more about the death curse.
When Nenne is visiting the imprisoned pirates captain Horace is there and he explains that he intends to leave for Baldur's Gate tomorrow morning to deliver Liara to her superiors. He offers the party a ride back to Fort Beluarian along the way if they'd like to go.
"Thank you, good captain, but I believe our mission takes us inland. I shall extend your offer to the rest of the group nonetheless. I still fear Laskilar's reprisal against the Fort. Please be vigilant."
With a curious expression, Wakaga says, "It was destroyed during the Spellplague. Do you think something about that ruin plays into the Death Curse somehow?"
The Spellplague took place from 1385 DR to 1395 DR. The current year is 1492 DR.
Allister finds Tymora's temple much as it was before. A few scattered clergy with the occasional priest. Jezzine is there and she welcomes the party's return. She asks if they've learned any more about the Death Curse during the last month they've been away.
After finishing the money exchange with Zindar Allister goes to wherever the pirates are held. On their way to the temple of Tymora he asks why she puts so much effort into saving Wallace and Fisher. „Why did you pick these two above any of the other prisoners? I don’t know Wallace, but Fisher was just an ordinary pirate. Not the worst, but definitely not a good guy either. They were just lucky enough not to be killed, otherwise they don’t deserve any special treatment.“
