“That’s what I’m thinking. We can take a look inside this hole. I could lower someone down if anybody wants to dangle in darkness from a rope, with unknown dangers lurking below.“ Allister turns to Glimbul and smiles. „Thank you for volunteering.“
Boosey slides over to the rectangular hole cut into the floor and peers into the lit room cautiously. The room below is circular in shape, with its south end tapering toward a small stone door. Carvings of demons decorate the stonework, with flickering flames in all their eyes to light the room.
Nenne unties the rope and refashions it as a harness. "Safer this way," she fusses. "Won't damage your organs if you fall." She pokes him on the forehead as light from her amulet glows softly. (Guidance) "Here we go."
They slowly begin to lower Allister into the room.
As Allister turns to make his way over to the door, the stone around the hole cut into the floor grows to seal it off. Alarmed, Nenne teleports into the room below with Allister just before it closes completely. Inside the narrow hallway, Glimbul and Boosey feel a great rumbling directly under they feet.
Boosey stands wide eyed as the stone seems just to grow in the hole, and his face turns deathly white as Nenne just vanishes. Left alone with Glimbul in the passage and effectively sealed off from Nenne and Allister he motions the other gnome to stand back, and singing the words he focuses all his energy into the centre of where the hole was and casts shatter on it. A shower of dust and shards of stone rain down on him, and as the dust clears it looks like the spell has had no effect on the "hole"
After having stepped away for Boosey’s magic and seeing no effect, he moves to the hole again begins moving his hands across the adjacent floor and walls, “There must be a way to save them from here. Maybe there is a hidden button or something that I didn’t find earlier. Maybe the dust is hiding the lines.” He says in a frantic hurry while continuing brushing his hands across the surfaces.
Boosey turn to Glimbul and makes a gesture that seems to mean this is pointless. He points at the crawl way, makes an annoyed face and starts singing. "We might be able to get to that other door if we jump to the balcony through there." His words give Glimbul inspiration, and he also casts [Tooltip Not Found] on the other gnome, imbuing him with "Bulls Strength". He adds, "If you go across first with the rope, I'll tie myself to it and follow"
Boosey, tying the rope round himself and Glimbul holding the other end, begins to climb across to the balcony. It doesn't take him long, and with a gentle thud he lands on the platform next to Glimbul and gives him a weak grin. Moving past, he reaches the bottom of a set of steps and looks up. To his dismay, there seems to be nothing but a dead end at the top of the steps.
Seeing boosey make it safely glimbul moves to the passage before seeing the wall. He then moves carefully to the wall and begins to desperately check for a method to open it.
Boosey joins Glimbul in the search for any secret passages. A short while into their search, the vibration they felt before stops in the walls. The skeleton's boney feet against the wooden platform are the only sounds accompanying the gnome's breathing in the dark chamber.
Cautiously, the gnomes ease to the end of the hallway, peering into the room. A fifteen-foot-wide, fifteen-foot-deep pit dominates this chamber. At the bottom of the pit, an eight-foot-tall clay figure stands motionless beside a stone treasure chest. A silver key hangs from a cord around the figure’s neck.
Two nine-foot-tall stone statues stand atop plinths on either side of the pit. A third plinth against the south wall stands empty. One of the statues depicts a hooded and bearded male figure with his left hand held high, index finger pointed up. The other portrays an armored male knight with his gauntleted right hand extended, its palm facing inward toward the knight. A small hallway exits the room to the north, where the fire light comes from.
Boosey creeps through the room, ignoring everything apart from the door to the north. As he enters the short hall he looks into the room, convinced this is where Allister and Nenne must be. Inside are two bodies, bloody and broken and clearly recognisable as Allister and Neene. At first he thinks they're both dead, and just stare in shock into the room. After what seems like eternity the bodies start moving slowly and gingerly. They are alive. His legs feel like jelly and he almost collapses against the wall he's next to. He cups his face in his hands and weeps.
Once he recovers his wits, he manages to cast aura of vitality giving the pair some much needed healing.
Nenne lies with her back against Aoda, one hand resting on Allister's arm, as Boosey's magic takes effect. She struggles to sit up and offers the gnome a bloodied, sunshine of a smile.
"Oh good, you made it," she pants, patting the fighter weakly to rouse him. "Pleased to see you all again. Was unsure we would."
Boosey looks to Nenne and Allister, tears still in his eyes. Once the healing ends, he gently prods his finger onto Nenne's forehead then points at himself, giving a sad smile and a shake of his head.
Allister waves to Boosey and smiles. „Hey, glad you could make it. You should have been with us, now I have to tell this tale alone.“ He leans back against the wall and closes his eyes. As the healing eases his pains he starts singing „Round and scaly but sweet as mead this fish tailed arse is mine indeed...“
Relieved everyone is alive Glimbul’s knees give as he sits on the floor heaving a sigh of relief. “I thought yall were goners. It pained me that there was nothing I could do to help, there were no switches or switches to stop it and then I thought it was all too late when we came across the walled entryway to this room.” He lowers his head looking to the ground. “I am so glad you all are alright”
As the cleric catches her breath with the aid of Boosey's spell, she smiles faintly at Glimbul. "Perhaps next time, let us all venture into rooms as one? The warrior and I make an effective team, but I certainly missed your skill, marksman. And your creativity, storyteller."
In great need of another rest, the party decides to stay put and wait for a time. Thankfully, the rest goes by uninterrupted, though the dungeon groans and creaks below the party's feet. Metallic sounds ring out occasionally down the dark halls. This is the noisiest the tomb has ever been around the companions, and that thought is unsettling.

“That’s what I’m thinking. We can take a look inside this hole. I could lower someone down if anybody wants to dangle in darkness from a rope, with unknown dangers lurking below.“ Allister turns to Glimbul and smiles. „Thank you for volunteering.“

Allister ties the rope around his waist. „Okay, lower me down. If something happens upstairs just jump and I’ll catch you.“
Nenne unties the rope and refashions it as a harness. "Safer this way," she fusses. "Won't damage your organs if you fall." She pokes him on the forehead as light from her amulet glows softly. (Guidance) "Here we go."

Glimbul nods, grabs the rope and nods as he ties himself with the rope as he passes through the crawl space and begins his journey across the wall.
With the speed and ease of an expert mountain climber Glimbul makes it across to the balcony. “I made it over! Your turn, I got you.”
