"If... if you would that would be most enjoyable." He looked back at Dunk, who was at the moment lazily munching on some ferns when Funderburk began patting her head. "You can't come with us on our journey Dunk. It is too dangerous. You will be escorted by soldiers to go back to the fort; there you will be safe. One day I will come back to fetch you. We will have the most joyous times when the day arrives." He strokes the side of her head, petting her. "Be safe."
With that, knowing the guards would ask for a price, nods his head at Boosey, giving him the get-go to use his damn scary intimidation techniques on the guard.
Boosey rolled an 11 for it in chat. And if the guard beats it, I'll use one of my rolls to make it a 4.
Boosey turns to the nearest guards. "Look after her boys. She'd be coming with us if we could fit her on, she might not look much, but she's one of us to the marrow of her bones." He starts poking one of them in the chest with his finger and talking in short staccato rhythms. "If I find, or anyone of us for that matter, that Dunk has not been looked after here, you better prey to whatever god you follow that you die before I get hold of you. Understand?" He waits a moment for them to nod an assent. "And if I don't get you," he gestures at Funderburk, "he will, and he's much more attached to her than I am." He fumbles in his purse a moment then tosses a small pouch their way. "The best ferns you can find, the best bedding and no heavy duty work. Twenty gold there between you. Don't make me regret this." He points at the first then the second guard, all the while eyeballing them. "Well?"
The soldier catches the purse and stammers out a "Y-yessir!" before giving Boosey a salute. The two soldiers look at Dunk and then back to each other with uncertainty. Horace claps his hands together and says cheerfully, "It's settled then! Let's go hunt some pirates!"
Days 12-16
Horace's schooner is joined by the second during the second day of travel on the open seas and they open full sails from there curling around the peninsula with haste. Horace tells the party before they depart that he will be ever vigilant in the days to come waiting for their message to act. He wishes the six of you well and one of the crewmen rows your party over to land. Eku spends some time with the map after they depart, guessing your location. She estimates the journey around the bay will take seven days, but could be done in four if you really pushed hard.
Days 17-20
These days are plagued by a pack of pterafolk flying overhead for a couple days until they are chased inland by a band of Aarocokra. Eku comments that it's for the best as the pterafolk were probably waiting for a time to strike when things weren't going so well for the party. Near dusk on the twentieth day, lights can be seen among the cliff face that can only be an indication of Jahaka Anchorage.
"There it is friends." He turned around to the group, "I say two of us head towards the bay where Horace is along with his ship, and cast a spell to message him to get prepared (Message). Since it is but half a miles march from here to the bay, I suggest that when the two send the message, that they set it for the next days noon. I volunteer to go. From there, I may need Allister to come with me. Boosey, Nenne, Sthara, and Eku, I suggest you all scout the cove and find the best possible way to invade."
Funderburk sat down after finding a proper stump, brushing any dirt off from it so that it may not crease his clothes any further than they were now. "As of now... I say we rest. We marched here as fast as we could, making this trek into a four day journey, so resting now and going to the bay tomorrow may be the best option we have. What say all of you?"
"It is unnecessary for us to part," Nenne says calmly. "I can communicate with Horace from any distance, and have become quite proficient in this practice since we ventured out of the fort. Please, sir wizard, allow me to spare you the danger. I will relay the message when the time comes."
"I think we have to take a look at the bay and maybe the cave anyway. So far we have no idea what we are dealing with. Liara said she saw around 40 pirates, but that´s not enough men to operate three ships. And Horace needs to know how many pirates he will face if he has to attack the ships. How about Boosey and I take a look at dawn?"
The night goes by uninterrupted under a starless, but rain free night. The dawn gives way to grey clouds and a cool breeze that accent the flags aboard the Dragonfang and Stirge floating just outside the large pirate cave. Men can be seen on both ships, but just how many is uncertain from this distance. The cave entrance from land is dark and uninviting, though no men can be seen around it from here.
Obviously you guys are not this close, but this will give you a visual aid of what you can see moving closer. The second ship in the water is farther off the map to the left.
As the sun slowly climbs the eastern sky and the dim light of dawn offers enough light for his eyes to see beyond the reach of his hand Allister dons his leather armor to avoid reflecting sunlight on his plate armor. "Ok, wish me luck. I´m gonna see how near I can get to this cave without putting me in too much danger. I´ll find a cozy spot and and keep an eye on our fiends for some time. If I don´t return until midday you either come look for me or find a better position to defend a possible attack. Any spells to enhance my chances of survival will be greaaly appreciated." He waits for his friends to finish casting any spells, then slowly moves towards the cave. As soon as the gate is visible he drops to the ground and crawls to he spot from which he can peek inside the camp. He makes mental notes of everything he sees: ships, equipment, movement, possible patrols, manned battle stations etc.
Beads of sweat form on Allister's brow as he avoids many a broken bottle nearest the log wall. The narrow strip of land between the cliff and the water is closed off by a 15-foot-high wall made of thick palm logs lashed together with stout vines. Their bottoms are set into the ground, and the whole wall leaves a two foot gap at the top of spiked logs before the top of the cave mouth. The gates are roughly made but reinforced with iron bands and backed by two heavy wooden bars. Curling around to the second cave entrance, Allister curses to himself to find a wall similar to the first sans any gate. Peeping inside reveals much activity even for this time of day. Allister takes special note of a pair of pirates near the gate playing cards on a table beside a curling animal horn fashioned to be a loud noise making thing.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Making a note of the crude noise making thingy Allister tries to spot the captains of the remaining ships. He also waits to see if the guards are relieved of their duty, if they appear alert or inert.
For as long as Allister is about, there are always at least two pirates near the gate with many passersby coming in sporadic intervals. If a captain is around, it is not known to the fighter as he tries to make himself smaller against the shrubs and rising sunlight. The ship nearest to the cave bustles with activity that Allister recognizes as preparation to sail, though their pace is not rushed. The second ship is turned at an angle that makes it impossible to see much from the cave entrance.
With his newfound knowledge, although not as much as he had hoped, Allister slowly makes his way back, making sure not to kick any broken bottles. Once he is safely back he informs his comrades about findings putting emphasis on the alarm sounding thingy device.
And then suddenly a sharp horn sounds out, ringing off the cliff walls and out into the bay! A second horn, much deeper than the first blows. Cheers can be heard echoing from inside the cave. After a time rowboats usher men to each of the large ships sitting in the bay. The Dragonfang and the Stirge are manning up to set sail!
From the safety of their hidden campsite, Nenne watches the pirates rush to their ships. Once they cast off, she closes her eyes, makes a gentle weaving motion with her hand, and whispers to Horace, "Fully-manned galleons Dragonfang, Stirge en-route to you, captains aboard. Be prepared. Have you seen or heard of the third pirate vessel? You may reply." (Sending)
Opening her eyes calmly, she surveys the group. "Now we wait. And prepare, ourselves."
Nenne hears a reply from Captain Horace "I have seen no vessel come into the sight of a spyglass, nor has Captain Fisher moved his schooner We are ready and will begin-" The message is cut short, but from his words, he didn't sound phased by any of the news she gave him. The party watches as the two massive ships slowly navigate the rocks and disappear into the horizon heading out of the bay.

After continuous discussing with the team, they decided the message on which to send in the stone.
Blossom. Treasure galleon your way; attacked by dragon turtle; limping up west coast; hurry Horace on his way.
With that he look at his friends, nodding his head, letting them know it has been done. He continues to hold the stone incase a message is sent back.
Made you look.
An hour goes by, two hours, three hours turn to four. It seems that nothing is going to change inside the cove.
