After a moment of looking lost in thought Glimbul looks to Nenne. “He doesn’t know, but he wants our help in making Acererak pay. Perhaps they are linked?”
Boosey starts to wander the room, speaking as he goes. “I wonder if that’s why these statues are bears?,” he muses. He walks round them, careful not to touch anything then looks at each seat in turn around the edge of the room.
"I know little of Acererak," the cleric admits, "yet it is enough to convince me I would not ally myself with him. Can Obo'laka tell us more of his enemy? And how all the gods came to be imprisoned here?"
She casts a grateful eye toward Boosey for his circumspection.
After more moments of what looks like pondering Glimbul speaks again. “He says Acererak is an arch-lich that imprisoned them here. He also says that the gods can give us some of their power and more the moment we see him. He was vague though about what kind of power.”
Nenne sizes up the gnome, though it's clear her attention is more on the metaphysical than the actual. "Is that all he wishes? The downfall of an enemy?" Her tone is polite and her expression, neutral.
Glimbul nods to Nenne’s question. “He does warn though that he does not know much anything of the tomb outside of this room. Also that the other gods may not be as kind as he and may have different agendas.”
Nenne tosses a glance at the rest of the party and shrugs. "You all know my feelings on unholy mages," she says to them. "So long as the entity remains as well-mannered as he's been and does no harm to Badger, I have few qualms about an alliance. Though," she adds, raising a delicate white eyebrow, "I cannot say I approve of any being inhabiting another's body without their permission. But our gnome seems to be uninjured, at least."
She looks back at the rogue and inclines her head respectfully at the deity within. "His warnings are duly noted," she tells Glimbul. "I thank him for his aid and benevolence toward us. I am not one to suffer a lich to live while I have breath and ability. It seems our outlooks in this regard are one."
Looking to Nenne, Boosey nods. "This makes sense. The stories from the shrines." He looks thoughtful. "The Zorbo would seem the most benign of the Gods, imagine it was the Froghemoth in there," and he motions to Glimbul, "or Wongo for that matter. If we discover them, we must tread carefully. Obo'laka" he addresses the other gnome. "The story in the shrine," and Boosey recites the story from I'jin's shrine. "Is that true? If it is, who were the Omuans and why was Ubtao seemingly against them?"
Glimbul stands while patting himself off. After he places a hand on his bow, quiver, rapier, dagger and other dagger as if confirming their existence. “He says the story is true. The Omuans worshipped them until they were betrayed”
Glimbul looks back to Boosey confused. “What? No. He said it was Ubtao. I am the one who doesnt know who that is. Where did you all learn about this god? I had never even heard of him or the others before just now.”
Nenne raises a pacifying hand. "There is much you ought to hear about our travels prior to arriving in Omu, marksman. For now, know that Ubtao seemed to reign over Chult, and the gods imprisoned here all had varying degrees of affection or aversion for him. His holy city, Mezro, was ruined by Ras Nsi, and Ubtao himself is long gone from this land - defeated or dead, I know not which. We traveled with a worshipper of his for a while. Sthara was her name. She was taken from us a few days ago by some magical force. All we know of Ubtao, we learned from her - and from the stories in the shrines of this city."
“These other gods the Omuan’s worshipped, their stories appeared in each of the shrines we visited. I’d be happy to tell them over once again. Anyway,” Boosey clears his throat, “there were nine gods in total, with each becoming enemies of one other for some act of betrayal or deception. The Su-monster became enemy to the Jaculi, the Kamadan to the Grung, the Froghemoth to the Eblis and the Zorbo” he gives a deferential nod, “to the Almiraj. There was one other, in the likeness of a snail. Unkh, and we took the eye pendant from his statue.”
He frowns and looks to the others. “Did we ever find out who or what the Omuans were?”
After this he recites each of the stories from the shrines for Glimbul.
Orvex pipes up and explains that the Omuans is the name given to Omu's inhabitants. He wistfully remarks on what they could have been, which no one can be sure is right or wrong.
"Does he know anything of the Soulmonger and the death curse?"

„How can he help? Does he have knowledge of the tomb? Can he grant powers?“
At Glimbul’s answer Boosey asks, “do the other gods share this goal. Would they be amenable to work with us? We could help each other I this place!”

"Betrayed by whom? Ubtao? Or their own gods? Forgive me, but these stories fascinate me. Professional interest, if you will."
“Ubtao... whoever that is”
"Ubtao is the God of Chult. Obo'laka doesn't know who Ubtao is?"
Glimbul looks back to Boosey confused. “What? No. He said it was Ubtao. I am the one who doesnt know who that is. Where did you all learn about this god? I had never even heard of him or the others before just now.”

Orvex poses in a curious posture and asks Glimbul, "Did you say you were looking for treasures in Omu?"
