"A pity, at that price I wouldn't purchase it but if you're open for a bit of haggling, perhaps we would come to some agreement," Halec says. "Perhaps 110 gold pieces?" Halec attempts to haggle, using Persuasion if possible. He has 141 Gold, and is trying to aim for a "split the difference" price on the ring, if the shopkeeper will budge at all.

At the fortune teller tent, it is a round, purple tent with a kaleidoscope patterned wool flooring, the fortune teller is a man with his face obscured by a hood stands behind a block of wood with a crystal ball on top "Come then, sit" he says to you in a mid-low pitched voice.
" Well, hello... I'm here to hear a fortune told. "
“Sold!” Halec happily agrees, shaking on it, and purchasing the ring. “A fair trader, you are, sir.”
"No, no, thank you" he waves as you walk out the door. While walking through the plaza, the hag in Witch's Brew yells out an 'advertisement' "I've got the freshest and rarest potions in the kingdom, Growth, Invisibility, Healing, Climbing, you name it! All at Witch's Brew, so no need to go to a forest witch!"
Before shopping, Jahren quietly gives himself the "Eagle's Splendor" buff from Enhance Ability. He then accompanies Halec but refrains from buying the other magic item. When the hag calls out the bard is intrigued enough to approach and ask her about her prices, especially on the healing potions, depending on their potency.

Ah, I have all the kind so healing potions to whip up for you. And they're on sale;
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jahren replies "ah, you must be quite skilled to brew up the more potent varieties." "Alas my funds are quite limited, being but a simple traveler in search of knowledge, but to walk away without a purchase would seem like a missed opportunity to establish a mutually beneficial business relationship. I travel with a fellow or two who seem to find trouble you see, and I envision future purchases being well worth the coin, when compared to death, that is." The half-elf thinks for a moment. "One of your 'superior' varieties seems to be what would be needed to truly give a man a chance in a fight for his life. If I could muster 130 gold pieces, might we be able to establish a relationship here? Actually, if a battle is won but a man is down, such a brilliant potion might be a bit much. If you can toss in one of the 'normal' potions as well just to keep a man breathing, we can keep these future heroes of Firefell coming back to your shop again and again. How much for the pair, in hopes of long term business?"
Jahren acts as if he's pondering for a moment. "Well, I could hold off on the other items I need.... Ok, for the forging of a longer relationship, you've got a deal. Thank you, Ms....?"
Once he eventually departs, Jahren tells Halec and Ophiwalyn "since you are both so kind as to let me come along and make record of your deeds, I purchased these potions." "For emergencies only, I figure. The lesser one if anyone is gravely wounded but there are no other threats, the larger when we're in real trouble." He pats a pocket on the side of his backpack. "They'll be right here, you know, in case I'm the one not breathing... if you would be so kind."
“If you should be rendered unconscious, I will take this as your verbal permission to administer a potion to you, Jharen,” Halec says, quite businesslike. “Doing something as mundane and grounded as haggling over purchases was oddly good for my mindset. I ran a business as a tinker and blacksmith, before. I was thinking of quitting the adventuring game before the snowflake shattered and called me back into action. Silly as it sounds, little things like this remind me of what we’re fighting for. Ordinary life. It is important to so many people. I hope we can preserve it for them all.”
Halec has donned the ring and will attune to it over the next hour or so.
Halec gives a polite nod to the dwarf, briefly doing a double take to confirm if it is Anthony or another. “Good day,” he say cordially, twirling his handlebar mustache.
Harbek walks over to Halec "hello" he says briefly then he says "what are you doing with yon ring?"
"Err, well I've purchased it from the local store, and now I'm just getting acclimated to it, you see," Halec answers the dwarf. "Items containing magical properties take some time to adapt to, I've found. I suppose it takes some time for their effects to permeate the body, as it were. Like waiting for bread to rise, or something of that nature. Maybe not the best analogy, but that's more or less the case. I'm also enjoying a bit brief of rest in Central City until my companions and I set out again. You wouldn't think all of this was in peril, from the way life goes on as normal, but the destruction of the Ruby Snowflake relic a few days ago is a very serious problem that will doom this region if we do not restore the relic. You wouldn't happen to know of any adventurers seeking work, who might aid Central City in this task, would you?"
Harbek looks confused and says "what is the ruby snowflake? I am new to this area." and when Halec mentions adventuring he brightens up "i have some experience in adventuring, what might be the reward?"

You'd need a persuasion roll for that.

"It takes me two nights to make a single bottle of that stuff, but I see how desperate you are, 140GP."

while attuning his new ring, he comes across a dwarf overwatching him.

Does anything happen at the fortune tellers?
The fortune teller has you sit on the tent floor, and says "If you want a fortune read, you'll have to pay me 5GP first."
Harbek walks over to Halec "hello" he says briefly then he says "what are you doing with yon ring?"
