Wearing her long, white hair out in the open...and trying to untangle its tangled mess, Kethra will join the rest at the tavern in the morning. She's normally conscious about it, but both of the cloaks she owned needed to be washed and left out to dry. And, in her mind, she would think that there won't be many people lounging at the tavern due to all the work that needs to be done from the mess yesterday.
"Some dwarvish book? Well, I'd like to go see it, Mr. Tyde! We should go now, because the guy could pawn it out! Besides, the graves will stay there...even if their occupants walk out."
Kethra stops and shudders and remembers herself. "Sorry, it's also because I really love dwarvish culture, especially blacksmithing. Also, spending a lot of time in caves and graves leaves my hair so gross after. You know, Jairus and I used to travel with this lady, Lasair. She always kept her red hair so nice no matter what we did...but that was probably her magic.
"That reminds me, Davian those magic berries yesterday were so good! I hope you didn't mind me eating the rest...eating too many wouldn't be bad for me, right?"
Kethra sighs and calls for Haylessa. "Ms. Harburk, hi! Remember me? I was part of the group who you asked to look into...and clean up the mess at Lance Rock. I was also part of the group who helped yesterday when the ground collapsed. You can call me 'The Blacksmith'!"
After a bit of small talk, Kethra will ask, "Has grave robbing ever been a thing in Red Larch or do people tend to be more respectful? Also, the man who found the dwarven book, did you hear if he plans to sell it or just keep it for himself?"
(Ughhh dndbeyond really wants me to spend my money with this blacksmith's dice....)

"I'd say check out the book, then go see about those graves." Rubin says with a shrug. "Book is here in town, graves are not, so it is an easy matter to speak to the book owner first, then head off to see about those graves after that."
Jairus listens to the others, looking grim and morose not due to concerns about their mission but due to his headache from excessive drinking beyond what he was used to. “Book’s closer. We like Dwarven books. Makes sense to check that out first.” He sits in the corner and pulls the hood of his cloak over his head, beginning to wonder if every mysterious “badass” Zhentarim he had ever seen posing in a corner in this manner had just been dealing with the symptoms of a hangover, as opposed to a tortured past.

The book seemed to hold people's interest more. Oh well, Master did want me to see more of the world... His thoughts interrupted by Kethra's question. "No, no ,no. Have all the berries you like. I would never harm those I travel with. At least not intentionally." He smiles at the white haired girl. She had such enthusiasm for life, it was contagious. "Settled then. We go see this Endrith first."
As he stands, Davian cups his hands together and whispers long forgotten words. When he opens his hands ten little blue berries have appeared. He hands them to his colleagues. "As Ke...The Blacksmith seems to enjoy these I thought I'd hand them out now. They will feed you for the day if need be, but they are best kept for a moment of need, if I cannot reach you with my magic."
“Real nice, thanks, Davian,” Jairus says. “They do anything for a real rager of a headache? I feel like I drank a bigger man’s weight in ale, and kept goin’, if you get my drift.” He smiles a pained smile, squinting against the light shining into the room. “Anyway, I agree we should get to both those matters, just makes sense to deal with the closer at hand business, first. And preferably whichever is quieter.” Jairus will have some breakfast and hydrate. Having recovered a bit, he decides he will test another day whether a Goodberry is a good hangover cure, and announces, “Ok, I feel more like muh normal self. Good to go, y’all.”
Following Haylessa's directions, you find a small, tidy shop with a faded sign proclaiming it to be "Vallivoe's Sundries." Endrith is the shopkeep, a small man who seems to scuttle rather than walk.
"What can I do for you all today?" he inquires, somewhat startled.

Symon doesn't offer an explanation to the shopkeep. He himself only had parts of the story, and was preoccupied with this whole 'codename' business. Truth be told, he was spending way too much time thinking about it. Red Wolf was a little on the nose. Grim Fang? Too dramatic. Rover? Maybe.
Asserting his focus on the pending conversation, he tried to ignore anything for display - his coin purse currently couldn't afford anything beyond admiration.

Having lived among dwarfs for some time, Rubin would be interested in seeing the book as well. He would let the others do the speaking though, staying back out of the way until the book is brought out.
"Ah, right. This beauty," he says, beginning to rummage around under his counter. "Bought it from a peddler, he said he bought in from some shady keelboat skipper in Womford. Ah, here it is. You looking to buy, or just to look?"
The book is beautifully illuminated, and quite old. The writing is in Dwarvish.
(Kethra at least can read it, not sure if anyone else can.)
When you skim it, it seems to be a genealogical history of the dwarven clans of Mirabar.

"Oh, oh, yes, I'd like to look! I wonder if there is anything about dwarven blacksmithing on it?"
The cloaked girl excitedly barge in, marvel at the book and handle the pages with special care. She will casually check if there are any insights to dwarven blacksmithing, but for the most part, will share the book with Jairus. Speaking in dwarven, Kethra asks him, "We need to look for anything related to ironstar dwarves, specifically anyone who might have lived before 1459 DR. Or see if we can find anything about 'Lance Rock' or Rubin's fancy 'Rezur' dagger. Is it okay if I ask for your sharp eyes to help me see, best friend?"
Then in plain common, "I'm really glad someone else can read this stuff too!"

"Well, anything?", Symon asks Kethra in Jairus, in common. He understands their conversation and approves of the interest, but feels no need to exclude the others from the question.

Jairus nods and does his best to relate the most important segments he skims to the others in Common. “Ma taught me the dwarf language.” When Kethra hears him speaking Dwarven aloud before translating to Common it is surprisingly “proper” Dwarven speech, where his Common is highly influenced by the rustic dialect of his rural upbringing, his knowledge of Dwarven is entirely “book learned,” and thus ironically much more eloquent than his primary tongue.
(Mirabaran dwarves are not related to these dwarves. You'll find no information about Ironstar dwarves.)
(Nothing on the other things I asked about either?)
Kethra will share any knowledge as well, as she was just speaking in dwarven to hide what they learned from the Delvers' caves away from any curious ears. Yet at the end her pale blue eyes fall, and she puts her chin on one hand, looking dejected. "Boo, this book doesn't really have anything, not even smithing!...anyone know anything about Mirabar?"

Jairus shrugs and produces the “noise makers” he found earlier, the Mirabar currency. “There was this stuff we found earlier in that dungeon, didn’t someone say it looked like money from those Mirabar parts? Not sure how that helps, but, we end up in Mirabar I guess we can buy lunch.” Jairus grins awkwardly as he taps the Mirabar “coins” together to produce a sound. “Funny things, ain’t they?”

Haylessa looks shocked.
"Grave robbing? I should think not!"
She purses her lips.
"Endrith? No, he seemed more interested in showing it off than selling it."

Rubin looks over the book. "Never learned how to read it, but I can recognize it as dwarven make." he says.
Jairus also reads dwarvish, and offers, “I can translate if no one else don’t want to.”
