Letting his dire situation sink in, Brother Keefe touches his chest wounds and repeats a well memorized verse from his Kelemvorite studies. Light shines from within the wounds, closing the gashes as it becomes brighter. Though he feels much better than a second ago, the priest still has other wounds that will eventually require either magical or topical treatment. (Brother Keefe heals for 12 HP.)

(Drow, Chaab, and Warrior go next.)
One the one hand, the Drow Cultist has to squint due to the sunlight. On the other hand, his opponent shimmers magically, making her easier to see. All in all, the cultist has to fight regardless. He raises his shield in a feint, lowering it to reveal a shortsword mid-trust. He then spins to his left and aims a poke at a gap in the armor at Aleyd's elbow.

-> Shortsword vs Aleyd: Attack: 7
Damage: 21Aleyd falls prey to the shield feint, but not for the spin attack. She has been nicked, but is far from letting it affect her form in spite of the poisonous sting she now realizes accompanied the piercing blade. (Captain AHB takes 16 piercing and poison damage.)

Unhappy with hitting only the tiefling warrior's shield with his last arrow, Chaab nocks another one and releases his bow string from an unseen position. Much like the other drow in the battlefield, Chaab also has to squint to be able to see his target, but he guesses that the tiefling cannot expect to know the exact timing of the arrow's release.
-> Shortbow vs. Thayan Warrior: Attack: 8 Damage: 19 (includes Sneak Attack damage.)
This time, the arrow finds its mark. Somewhat ironically, It sinks into the Thayan's shield arm. (Thayan Warrior takes 23 piercing damage.)
Chaab slightly shifts position within the protection of the tree {CA-67} in order to keep the enemies unware of his exact hiding spot. (Cunning Action: 10 -> forgot disadvantage due to Sunlight Sensitivity: 19)
(Thayan Warrior goes next.)
Cursing in pain, the Thayan tiefling warrior breaks the arrow sticking from its upper arm with the help of his blade. Still unaware of he exact location of the archer who is pestering him, he continues to attack the enemy in front of him:
-> Longsword vs. Brother Keefe: Attack: 18
Damage: 14-> Longsword vs. Brother Keefe: Attack: 17 Damage: 5
Brother Keefe blocks the first slash with his shield, mimicking the earlier move by the tiefling himself. The warrior takes offense to that and responds by slashing upward. The priest was not expecting such an attack angle, and earns a new slash on his recently closed chest. (Brother Keefe takes 7 slashing damage.)
(Olisara is up next. She can roll a WIS saving throw {DC 11} at the end of her turn to escape Hold Person.)

Olisara is unable to mentally force the cultist's influence. She remains stuck in a running pose, which was the last thing she was doing before the spell took hold.
Several feet away, after spotting Harper for the first time, the Thayan Apprentice aims another charge of her scorching rays:

Damage: 4Three streaks of fire dart toward the faction agent, who notices them just in time. He throws a wind shield up, blocking the two fire streaks that managed not to hit the tree trunk he had been hiding behind. (reference)
Ali is not failure to the Thayan Apprentice, who shakes off Olisara's earlier curse.

The Cult Fanatic nearest to Olisara approaches her with a dagger in hand {BN-55}. He takes advantage of his own spell and stabs her gut twice:

Damage: 3-> Dagger vs Olisara: Attack: 20 Damage: 5 (already accounting for auto-critical.)
The cultist is fooled by the songstress' enchanted armor. He thinks he is stabbing simple though beautiful cloth, but the blade is stopped by the armor instead. He tries again and, this time, luck is on his side. He accidentally finds a gap in Olisara's unseen armor. (Olisara takes 8 piercing damage.)
The other fanatic, closer to Captain Aleyd, tries to interfere with her duel with the drow by paralyzing her:
-> Captain AHB's WIS saving throw {DC 11}: 20
The Black Fist officer lets her protective aura deal with the attempt, never even glancing at the interrupting fanatic.

Seeing the rays of fire, the Harper took a deep breath and then blew into being a wall of wind and magical force to shield himself from the attacks. However, as much as he yearned to be rid of the tiefling, he first had to turn his attention back upon cultist. His dipping around the brush is but a prelude for the eruption of more everlasting bolt of crackling energy aimed right for the cultist. Almost immediately after he's hiding again, hoping to buy that one more moment needed to start turning things around.
Movement: To BI-57.
Action: Cast (2nd level)Chaos Bolt on Cultist attacking Olisara, augmented by Empowered Metamagic(1sp) to re-roll all 4 dice.
Attack: 21 Damage: 12 of ??? damage.

His priorities clear, Harper ignores his attacker and attempts to relieve Olisara of hers. He sends another unpredictable orb toward the cultist, which explodes against his sides in a burst of pure magical force. The man bleeds profusely now, but somehow manages to keep hold of the elven singer by the skin of his teeth. (Cult Fanatic #2 takes 13 force damage.)
Harper repositions himself in hopes of trying it again in a moment or two.
(Red Wizard goes next.)
The Red Wizard nods silently at the tiefling engaged in battle with Brother Keefe and then jumps atop the nearest griffon. He whispers some foul magic words into the beast's collar, and the runes on it glow yellow momentarily before fading away. The griffon yips in pain and begins beating its wings. Either due to its injuries or in an act of defiance, the griffon begins to fly away only at a slow pace... much slower than it would likely be able to.
-> Griffon and mounted Red Wizard are 15 feet above ground at {BV62, BW-63}.

Narrowing her eyes, AHB focuses on her Drow opponent. A flash of red light glints in her eyes before running along the edge of her blade a moment later.
Brandishing the sword with a flourish, she swings again at the Drow.
Attack 1: 25 Damage: 12
Attack 2: 27 Damage: 13
Casting wrathful smite as a bonus action to add 1d6 to the damage of each attack. 1 - 5,. 2- 1.
(OOC If the Drow Cultist drops, AHB will book it towards Keefe.)
Brother Keefe sees his biggest threat in front of him. He desperately makes a fist and reaches out to touch the Thayan Tiefling Warrior
Brother Keefe will cast Inflict Wounds at 2nd level.

AHB continues her sword dance with the drow cultist. Her longer blade allows her to be a threat over a longer reach than her opponent and the difference pays off. She infuses her weapon with a wrathful force and slashes at his waist. The fury of the attack is enough to instill fear into the drow. Aleyd brings her blade to meet her foe once again, this time backhanded. More blood squirts out of his middle section. (Drow Cultist takes 30 magical slashing and psychic damage.)
Though severely hurt, the drow is still willing to fight (and concentration is maintained.)
Brother Keefe adopts an "offence is the best defense" strategy. He reaches out to touch the enemy but releases the selected spell prematurely. The tiefling smiles back at the priest, showing his confidence.

Despite the fear in his eyes, the drow cultist still swings his blade at a glowing Aleyd.

His poisoned blade cuts the Black Fist captain once more (Aleyd takes 19 piercing and poison damage.)

Chaab pops out from behind a tree and tries to help Brother Keefe:
-> Shortbow vs. Thayan Warrior: Attack: 9 Damage: 13 (includes Sneak Attack damage.)
The accurate arrow wipes the smile off the tiefling's face, though he still stands. (Thayan Warrior takes 24 piercing damage.)
Chaab tries to hide again {CA-66}. (Cunning Action: 25.)

This last arrow proved to be too much of a danger to the tiefling. Not wanting to be caught by surprise again, He ignores the wounded priest in front of him and examines the area hoping to find a hidden archer.
He has no idea where the archer might be at this exact moment. His unsuccessful search gives Brother Keefe a moment of respite.
(OOC: I rolled a d20 and the dice roller initially said I rolled a d6. Then, it switched back to a d20. Go figure... Just ignore the manipulation warning in this post.)
