I'm interested in starting a new level 1 campaign in the same world as my Forest of Celador campaign. The world is in development, I don't have a ton to show. I'm looking for 4-6 players, not just characters. I want people with ideas of where there characters come from and where they want to go. We can do a straight up Tolkeinesque/Faerunian fantasy, or something more afield. Don't be shy if you are a new player, I find new players often add a lot to world design.
Please propose a 1st level character. The world is being created, so I'm not restricting much. No Bloodhunters or guns. Choose Point buy or roll here for stats, if you choose to roll and don't like your stats you can take standard array. Starting equipment or gold, your choice. Tasha's origin rules, okay, alternate class features on a case by case basis. Give me like a couple of sentences about your character.
Please make suggestions for what kind of campaign we want to do. My ideas are a Chult-inspired hexcrawl of the Summer Kingdoms, or a dungeon crawling exploration of the Desolation, a desert formed by the destruction of an ancient empire.

Evil Gods are not generally public knowledge. I'd prefer a non-evil party, for my own reasons. I don't really fuss too much about alignment. If you want to play an evil character that works and plays well with the others you are welcome to, and I'll reveal some of the gods you could choose from. There are also evil cults of some of the other gods.
The one publicly acknowledged evil god is Asmodeus, formerly known as Kador, god of fire.

Backstory (Entertainer): Tine, pronounced Tina, was born to a barmaid in Trunau who was the taken in by the charm of a traveling elf. Growing up she found herself always listening to the stories of the bar patrons, eventually building a story for her father. Though the stories would always change only masking the unknown truth from her even further. As she grew up she began to find a love for the tavern and the art of telling stories. Through the years she continued to gather stories in the bar and learned to play various instruments. While her mother waited tables she began to entertain the patrons. Eventually though she began to feel the need to venture out on her own and gather stories to tell, maybe even be at the center of one. Though she stays busting tables and playing songs, eventually she plans to leave.

But Gungnir is no ordinary warrior--no, he is cunning in addition to being strong. He feels the pull of magic as strongly as the rush of steel on steel; he just hasn't mastered it yet.

Backstory: When he was a child and first discovering his affinity for nature Ollabar wandered into the forest, chasing after a butterfly he thought had called his name. It was two full days before he even realised he was lost, but he felt completely at ease in the deep gloom of the forest so he was unperturbed.
35 years later and Ollabar is still exploring the world. He considers himself natures protector, from insects to great cave bears and even travelling humanoids, all who find themselves in need of aid or shelter benefit from Ollabar's desire to help. But any who are caught disrespecting the land are severely punished.
Ollabar is a quiet and unassuming fellow who only wants to continue exploring. He will join with adventurers for a time, hunting down evil or clearing dangerous nests of predators. but he is not looking for fame or fortune.
Campaign: Any, I don't mind what we play. I just want to get in and explore a world, have some adventures, and see where the story takes us.
I am interested in applying! I would probably vote for doing a hex-crawl style campaign. That sounds interesting. (Though either would work for me.)

Background Synopsis: Janek is running from his past and a family that was involved with an evil cult. Briefly possessed by a fiend as his village became engulfed in an expanding war, he ended up killing his older sister. Haunted by this experience, and the loss of almost everyone he knew, he has traveled far to escape that past. With just his skill with swords, he is trying to find a place for himself.

Campaign idea: Anything that utilizes exploration and has neat rewards. Like, say there's a waterfall, and something is behind it about halfway up. A great perception could see it but only a really powerful spider crawl\manipulate water type spell could access it. Turns out, its a cave, and instead of like a treasure chest, maybe there's an old man whose apart of a secret order of hidden-in-water monks. If we find them all, maybe we gain access to a shortcut or advantage in the future.
