Feeling the sudden end to the fight in his bones, Duncan takes a couple quick deep breaths to calm himself. More battle might come soon, and he needs to be ready. Stepping over the bird person in front of him he heads up the stairs calling out "Floon! You in here?!"
As he feels the fight go out of the Kenku on the stairs, Davik lowers him into a reclined position while whispering “shhh... shhhhhh.......” to him as he goes down.
He frowns upon seeing the bolt sticking out of his chest, but still checks to see if he’s alive. If he is, he’ll shake him conscious, to interrogate him. If he’s dead, he’ll quickly check the body over for any clues, keys, markings or insignia (and coins and loot), etc.
Jorah casts a hard look and glare towards the party as they make noise, and makes a few large arm motions to catch their attention. He then holds up a hand, motions towards something upstairs, then hostilely holds his blade, before making a motion of slitting his own throat. When he's done, he quickly scampers back towards the window room he entered in, keeping low to the ground as he watches out for the remaining Kenku.

(I completely blame Duncan for that terrible roll xD no amount of dirty looks can take back that shout, lol)
Seeing the last of the obvious enemy go down, Rubin moves into the warehouse and starts to look around for any that might be hiding, checking for secret doors or other rooms.
Ser Knewt moves forward to look at Duncan's wound. He says to Duncan, "May I see your wound for a moment, friend?" He holds out his taloned hands to the large man with his eyes showing concern for his well being.
A muffled sound answers Duncan question. He only hears it because of th sudden silence of the area. Far in the back and hidden from view by the many boxes there is a noble man looking scared and hagard.
He seems scared and a bit taken aback by the violence that enfolded.
He looks at the first person that comes to him and speaks. ( He will be a bit more reluctant to talk if Sir Knewt or Jorah come in sigh first. )
"The Zhentarim thinks that my father embezzled a large amount of gold while he was Open Lord, and that he hid the dragons somewhere in the city. They think they can find it by using an artifact called the Stone of Golorr, which was in the hands of the Xanathar Guild until recently. Apparently, someone stole it. The Zhents thought I knew something about all of this, but I don’t. My father and I haven’t spoken in years.”
Duncan, having called to him, is the first to go and listen. He quickly unties him, and secures the area. Still hyped up from battle he looks around to companions near and says "You and you! Search this house for anything else alive, or anything else that may be useful." Then looking to Floon he says "Now is not the time for your stories! You are alive, and we are here to take you back. Once we know we are safe feel free to tell us all your family issues."He then stays alert while waiting for the rest of the group to ensure the location is secure, and that they are not being watched, to then take Floon back to his friend, and perhaps let the others ask him about this treasure horde.

Ser Knewt follows Duncan towards the human. He smiles his toothy grin at the human. He holds his amulet of Lathander in his left hand as he approaches the human. He says to him, "Surely, it is Lathander's blessing that allowed us to find ye so timely good sir. Are ye wounded? Might ye be the man, Floon?" He walks slowly and calmly towards the man. His eyes never leave the eyes of the man. Ser Knewt tries to ascertain if the man is wounded or suffering from shock and apt to make a fool hardy decision such as fleeing or attacking.
Davik is busy looting the place (and will of course share anything he finds with the group).
And unless he sees that they need anyone super-intimidating or persuasive, he'll leave the captive to Duncan and Knewt, rather than crowd the man. It looks like they have it well in hand for now (although Davik's not sure it's Floon...).
(OOC: @GamoRust - for looting, do you need anything more than my investigation: 19 roll from above?).
Seeing the last of the obvious enemy go down, Rubin moves into the warehouse and starts to look around for any that might be hiding, checking for secret doors or other rooms.
Rubin goes to search the area and discovers a secret door leading into a small compartment. The door is locked and there seems to be a very thin string going in at the top of it.
Duncan goes with Sir Knewt to see how the prisoner is doing and he looks at you both with surprise in his eyes.
" You are here for Floon ? I m not him. We were jumped by five thugs as we left Fillet Lane and headed north on Zastrow Street." he shakes his head. He seems fine though apart from the few bruises.
Davik search of the rooms reveals the same door as Rubin but he also finds a paper bird in the office at the top of the stairs.
Outside.
Jade, the shape you saw has gone out of your field of vision and you can hear screams calling for the guard echoing down the lane.
Davik searches the building and finds the paper bird.
“That’s odd...” he mutters and picks the item up, turning it over once or twice in his hands...
(OOC: Would Davik know what this is? How it works? Is there any writing easily visible on first glance? Is it used or blank? Is it in bird or parchment form?)
Ser Knewt approaches the prisoner with Duncan. "Who are you then, sir? We will release you and get you safely out of here. Lathander commands it." Ser Knewt moves to unbind the prisoner and check him for any serious wounds.
Jorah comes back down from downstairs, keeping quiet as the group talks to the hostage. He goes to the Kenku he had shot earlier, ripping his arrow out of its neck, before he begins to pat down the dead bird and his friends for any interesting loot. He makes sure to keep his hood up while listening, half attentively, towards the ongoing conversation.
"Anyone have tools to pick a lock?" Rubin asks the group. "I have the skills to do so, but not the tools." He explains. "If someone could give me a hand here, we might find something behind this door..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jorah perks up at Rubin's words, and stops his looting (momentarily xD) to walk over, pulling out his own tools. "Sure." With Rubin's help, he'll pick the door to open it.
Davik comes trotting back down the stairs, tucking the paper bird inside his leathers to examine further later...
He approaches Even, who looks pale, and is warning about guards. “Are you okay? This didn’t go down quite as I expected...”, he says with a squint out towards the dark alley.
Then calling back in, around the room, “Jorah, Rubin, you in that room yet?? Knewt, that guy alive? Can we move him? Let’s finish up here people... we want to be away, before guards get here”.
Hearing his teammates, Duncan roughly grabs the captive by the sleeve, lifting him to his feet saying "We should be gone. You will tell us more when we are safe."He then works to follow the group out of the slums and to somewhere they can talk.
Ser Knewt follows after Duncan and the rescue back to the main group. He is pleased to see the group back together as Jorah works on some type of lock.
