Uragum took the bulk of the weight carrying the statue. With some effort and help from the others, he'd haul that up the steps and to their boat to leave.
Once back in the row boat Arnald looks over to Uragum, "Didn't fully realize how strong you were until now. I think I'll just let you carry this back to Phlan." he says while patting the statue.
OOC: Added the two religious idols to Arnald's inventory. Adding the collection of notes and journals to Uragum's inventory for now, just so they are tracked. 3 gp are still left to be claimed.
The ship maintains itself while you carry the idol from its room onto the deck and over onto the longboat in which you made your way here. It is not an easy or quick process, and by the time it crashes down onto the longboat, splashing water upward from the impact, the ship has begun to list, and one half is definitely lower than the other. Raki is nowhere to be seen.
Uragum will point out the difference. "We will need to try and balance the boat as best we can. I'll have to go to the otherside," he says ot the others before climbing down into the boat.
OOC: Added the remaining 3 gp to Uragum's inventory.
Ixas's body is badly burned by the spreading fire, but Sylyra is able to drag him up the now tilting ship deck and look over what is left. The man carries no valuables in his purple robes - his magic apparently coming from the symbol of a multi-colored pinwheel hanging from his neck - however, he wears a magnificent ring on one hand that surely carries some magical properties.
OOC: For defeating the ship's crew and the infernal pirates, each character has received 400 XP. With the treasure, notes, and statue in tow, what is next?
Sylyra pockets both the pinwheel and the ring, assuming the totem Raki spoke of must be one of the statues they recovered from the cabin below. He then joins the others on the longboat.
As if relieved by the destruction of the pair of ships, the storm seems to have retreated back into the sky. The ten minute journey rowing back to the small island in the Moonsea is a slightly easier task, though the restless waves still crash against the hull, pushing and pulling the entire way.
It is well into the middle of the night when you reach the shores, pulling the boat onto the wet, soggy sands of the landing. All on the island looks as it did when you left, except that the Folk seem to have all retreated into their homes for the night. The fire has been fully doused and the bodies have been discarded or buried.
Your horses remain intact and mostly dry inside the barn, where Elisande still waits attentively. The young girl's eyes light up at the sight of the party.
Sylyra lets Ola deal with the child. He suggests Uragum has a look at all of the artifacts they took from the ship, including the two pieces of jewelry he lifted from Ixas.
Ola smiled to the child as softly as she could . "We returned, Elisande. Thank you for handling the horses. Ready to go to leave the island?" Ola did not change her decision to take the girl away from that village and had a few ideas who in Phlan could accept the orphan.
Once upon dry land Uragum helps to move the items back to onto the shore from the boat. He stretches a bit, lights some torches for light and then begins to ritually cast identify on all the magical items.
"Yes! Yes!" Elisande runs across the barn to wrap her arms around Ola's waist, jumping with excitement even through the hug. While things are readied for the return to Phlan, Uragum examines the items taken from the ship. Only the ring is identifiable; the small idols and the pinwheel symbol are not magical.
The ring is made of silver, intricate in its detail and decorated with tiny opalescent stones. It glows with a pale radiance, but only while outside in the moonlight; once taken into the barn, the glow fades (OOC: Mechanically, 5 feet of dim light). Uragum's spell reveals that it is a ring of evasion, an item that requires attunement and greatly enhances its wearer's reflexes.
Uragum pieces through the items and then holds up the ring. "This is a magic ring. It lets you odd things, like spells. More easily. Very useful," he says and hands the ring back to Sylyra.
Sylyra take the ring back, but when Uragum begins looking more closely at the statue, the elf warns him, "Remember what the kobold said. Ixas used the statue to break people. I can only imagine that's what happened to the two madmen we witnessed." He looks back out at the makeshift town, wondering where the local madman was right now.
Uragum nods. He recalls the information and cracks his knuckles. "You are right, and I won't be messing with. The spell should only tell me what it is and what it does." He looks at it and then back to his friend, "And we already know it is an evil thing. Though if it would be worth something if it can help reverse the madness."
There is a darkness exuded by the statue of the skeletal dragon, and Uragum feels evil radiating through his fingertips as he places a hand upon the item. Strangely, however, his spell does not reveal any magical properties.
Not that Ola really hoped to achieve something here, but emanations of evil were not lost on her during their traveling form the ship. Now she had time to look at the thing more intently.

Arnald would like the two small idols.

Agreed, we have borrowed horses that must be returned and who knows maybe the the people there will offer some sort of gift.

Yes, back to the island. Is it still storming?
