Recruiting either one or two players, we've had a few more drop out for various reasons. Note that this is mostly a combat/dungeon oriented campaign, although there will be some roleplay and not everything is solved by good ol' hack 'n slash.
Here's a link to the original post, please read it fully and use the same application process (with the following changes—characters are level 2, the current party is a Barbarian, a Rogue (ranged, mostly), a Wizard (evocation) and a Druid (shepherd, if I remember correctly). The member we lost was a Ranger. I'd prefer no full casters.): Link
And here are some adventure specific character hooks you can use if you want (not required, but might give you a better idea of the setting/background): Link
I'll close this around the same time I'm posting now tomorrow. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Backstory: Marila is the child of a female Drow priestess of Lolth that had converted to the worship of Eilistraee after years of being of the surface after being abandoned after a failed surface raid. Her father being a soldier for one of the local Lords. After being injured and near death her father was nursed back to health but her mother. While at first things were very tense they slowly over time became both friends and joined a group of adventurers. After years together Marila was born and the two settled down to raise their child.
Much like her mother, Marila felt the call to serve and entered the service of Eilastree, leaving home to serve with others that served her. For a time Marila stayed with her blade sisters but felt a wanderlust and went off on her own. In order to still help where she could she took up service with a group of adventurers and at times mercenaries.
On a return trip to visit her mother and now elderly father she found that their house had been razed and her mother had been severly injured, left in the care of a local wise man. Her father on the other hand had been taken along with several other villagers. One of the few people that made it out of the attack told her that they may have belonged to a strange band of religious fanatics. Feeling the call to save others she set out to save or avenge her father and the others taken.
Experience with D&D: I have been playing D&D 5e since it late 2014 on and off both irl and through Pbp. I played a bit of 3.5 and 4e in highschool until I had to move. Backstory: Grew up in Waterdeep, Keva became a bounty hunter soon after leaving the orphanage where she was raised. One of the people in the orphanage who helped to raise her was an elven archer who taught her how to use a bow. Recently she has been hunting Bastian Thermandar, a wanted fugitive.
Experience with D&D: I have been playing D&D 5e for about a year and a half, and played some 3.5 a few years ago.
Backstory Tholozan has wandered the lands for about a year, getting to know the world he lives in. In this short time, he has seen good, evil, and everything in between. The worst example that he has seen so far had to be the burned out village he passed the other day. As he searched for survivors, he was appalled by the indiscriminate death dealt to the inhabitants. Young and old, male and female, it didn't matter to the attackers.
Tholozan found one survivor. A young human, maybe a teenager, maybe older, it's difficult to tell with those humans. Able to stabilize him, using a little magical healing, a little skillful healing, and a lot of prayers, Tholozan nursed the lad back to health and consciousness. All that he was able to learn was that the group known as the Fire Cultists had razed the village. They didn't say that they were looking for anything, they didn't offer any warning or chance of escape. They were only interested in killing and burning.
With such a hatred for life, this group must be stopped! From this point, Tholozan began searching for clues to where the group may be, as well as interested parties who might be looking for help to put an end to their actions.
Experience with D&D I have played AD&D, 3.0/3.5 and other systems. It's been a while since I've played in any form, but I have played IRL, and PbP. I'm looking to get familiar with the 5th edition so I might start a game with my family soon.
If you're still looking for pineapple, I saw them in Hawaii back in January.
Ability scores: 151514131014 Name: Jun Shin Race/Class: Human Variant Monk (Drunken Master) Backstory: A cartographer by trade for many years, Jun came across a strange map (taken from one of your hooks). Eager to find and finish this map, he is in search of the ruins it represents. As a young child he saw much of his village burned to the ground, with his family killed during this attack. As such, he has turned to alcohol over the years in order to quell the nightmares of that day. Class - Monk (Way of the Four Elements at 3rd level)
Backstory - I (Vodos) entered a monastery at a young age, deep beneath the waves of the Sea of Fallen Stars. To complete my training, I took an oath to wander the surface world for a number of years, to get a better lived experience with all the elements (particularly fire) in a broader context.
Early in my journey to the surface, Gar Shatterkeel destroyed the ship on which I'd been traveling by conjuring a powerful storm. Dozens of sailors died, and now I intend revenge.
D&D Experience - I've been in the game since 2nd Edition, in various ways, usually as the DM. I'm new to PbP gaming, tho.
Race/Class: Fire Genasi Blood Hunter (Order of the Pineapple Lycan)
Backstory:
Symon was born into a monastery dedicated to Kossuth where an efreet fleeing the fall of Calimshan had lain with a human generations prior. Symon was trained from an early age to try and rein in his destructive nature and turn it towards purification and order. These lessons didn't take, and at 17 he ran away from the monastery, wandering aimlessly across Faerun until he was snatched up by the Cult of the Eternal Flame. For a while, the promise of true freedom had it's appeal, and he traveled with them long enough to become familiar with their rituals and signs. However, he always felt more like a symbol than a brother, and when it came to the raids he did little more than pick over the carnage for overlooked valuables.
When Symon chanced upon a battered old woman after one such raid, he dragged her to safety and tended to her wounds for days, drawing on the lessons of his childhood to cleanse her wounds and treat her burns. This woman had not survived by chance, and held ancient secrets of her own - secrets she shared with Symon. Her final lesson was a trial, a potion she claimed would make Symon a true wolf in a world filled with pretending hounds. The Hunter's Bane.
After drinking it and surviving agony for 7 nights, Symon found himself able to better control his elemental gifts, and felt as if he now had one foot in the world beyond the mundane. The woman had succumbed during those seven days, but her will would carry on by the events she had put in motion.
When he emerged from the ruined village, the Cult had moved on. They had not looked for him. He was never their family. His rage only stoked the conflicts within him. His ego, his id, his nature and desires were put into the crucible. When he emerged from this internal trial, he was finally reforged.
The Cult of the Eternal Flame were pretenders, despicable hedonists who didn't deserve to touch true fire. They would be hunted down and those that would not repent their craven ways would be purified. The Red Wolf of Kossuth had the trail.
Experience with D&D: Approximately 16 years? Since 3e, at least.
Timezone: Pacific time. I can post all night and afternoon - my 'dead time' would usually be 10 am to 4 pm EST.

Backstory:
Rubin was captured by drow when he and some companions were traveling in the underdark. He spent a few years as their prisoner, being treated like a worthless slave. When some adventurers destroyed the drow outpost Rubin was being held in, he was brought back towards the world above. Rubin though took up resident in a dwarven stronghold, having nothing to return to the land above for, and finding the dark tunnels more a home now than not.
Rubin learned the ways of the underdark rangers and has become a folower of the dwarven god Moradin, god of creation.
Some days ago one of the dwarf clerics, who Rubin is friends with, had a vision. In that vision he saw the earth prophet, Marlos Urnrayle. The dwarfs met and discussed what to do. Rubin agreed to go to the world above and find out what was going on, and to seek out this evil prophet and deal with him.
