Honor barks a laugh at Nadariel's overpopulation comment, but doesn't engage, busy taking stock of their surroundings. "What would we do with an island like this? It's too remote, and we have bigger places to go. If you provoke them, they don't need to fight us directly, they can just destroy the ship and we'll be trapped."

"Um..." Naivara says, looking around. "Where's Latrius?"

Kierro looks around, briefly distracted by the tressyms. When he looks back, however, Latrius is gone (perception 24, below his 32 stealth roll).

"Latrius? Where'd you go?"

"..."

He glances toward the ship and asks Palvin and Castisha how the repairs are coming along. Once he knows that, he motions for a few of the others, saying quietly (the familiars flying around shouldn't be able to hear): 

"I can't see Latrius; he might've gone inland toward the temple." Kierro sighs, with an expression of 'I don't know what I was expecting'. "Part of me feels like it would be better if we didn't follow and draw attention - they'll know as soon as we step foot off the beach. He should be able to sneak through undetected, and all he has to do is find the dragon and speak to him."

He looks very uneasy as he adds: "Of course, the other part dreads the thought of him being found out and surrounded, and the rest of us being attacked."

Turning to Leto, he asks: "Can you see the main group outside the temple? Anything happening?"

(Even if you did try to follow me, the only possible way to catch up would be through dragon.  I’m pretty sure Latrius has the fastest movement speed by far out of anyone.)

Alarm bells start going off in Esmerelda's head as she thinks about Latrius disturbing something this powerful unnecessarily. Quickly calling Ronaldo back towards her, she telepathically mutters, "Be ready to transform. Worst case scenario, I want to be able to get out of here at a moments notice." She looks at the others nervously, "Do we have a plan?"

Palvan turns to Kierro. "The sorts of repairs we need will take days to finish, not hours."

Kierro places two fingers to his forehead, sending a message of sending to Latrius.

"We're being watched, and they'll know that you've left. Repairs will take too long before you get there, we'll be attacked. Come back now."

To Esmerelda, he replies: "The plan was not to head inland; I'm trying to call him back right now."

Latrius answers,

”I disappeared.  If they attack, you have dragons.  Tell them to be gentle.  This is the best way to stop possible war.”

Esmeralda bites back a sarcastic reply and just nods politely to Kierro.

It takes Latrius 4 hours to hike to the temple.

What do the rest of you do for the next five hours? Leto has moved to the PM for his spider's investigation of the temple, what about the rest of you?

Honor curses. "At least they might see that he did this independently of the rest of us. If they choose to focus on him alone, I have no issue with that."

“It seems most of them have moved inside.” Leto replies. “We should be ready. If Latruis is to be discovered, they may simply kill him, or they may send troops our direction as well. And their temple is quite far through very thick jungle.”

"Why did he go?" Naivara says, "he knows what could happen. What he's doing is dangerous!"

Slight pause here as I work out the scouting with Leto. Taking a bit of time as his spider moves very very slowly... lol.

"Whatever Latruis does, he is up against a very well trained militia, in a very well guarded temple," Leto says to the group as he opens his eyes and pushes off the tree he'd been leaning on. Shrugging, he adds, "But he is on his own now it seems."
