Kyrian sighs, and walks over to join the conversation "Naivara, what do you propose? I will not leave without what has been taken from me, but if you can think of a solution where innocents are not at risk, then I agree that is the best course of action." He turns to the Axial "Do you think the dragon would react to an attempt to draw it away from its lair? Perhaps if we insulted it sufficiently...."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
"Even if it cannot be controlled, we generally are rather good at communicating with the beasts,"Leto says. "Perhaps it could be bargained with."He then looks to Sinder adding, "Maybe someone with an affinity for fire would be best able to negotiate?"
"Also this red dragon seems to actively wish people to try to kill it." The Axial says with a nod to Kierro. he does not give his name though, as he has no reason to do so for a lowly mortal as Kierro. "It seems to wish adventurers to enter its lair and try to make off with the treasure there. As no adventurer has made it out so far, it seems like a fatalistic plan though..."
"A red dragon is unlikely to be open to negotiation,"Honor opines. "We have more dragons now, and so a greater chance of success. Latrius and Kierro are right, the best chance of success for the locals is if we were to try and attack the red dragon. Naivara, if you want to try and convince them to leave the area instead, I'm happy to hear any ideas you might have, but we don't want to tip our hand to the dragon, either."
„It is an ancient dragon and we a far away from our previous power. A single blast from it could kill us all. Any suggestions on how to deal with it and its lair?“

"It's inviting adventurers to come face it already, he clearly wants to be challenged. If we were to tell him that we'd be able to put up a decent fight if we can get our hands on the possessions that we seek, it's not unreasonable to assume that he might allow it." Kierro says. "And if he does, that gives us far more of a fighting chance."

"I fully agree. That gives us time to prepare in the meantime while the familiars and such scout the place out." Kierro replies to Nadariel.
"If talking to it works, that would be optimal. The battle plan is a contingency plan, in case talking doesn't work. But ideally you would get a chance to talk first."
While this entire conversation is happening Esmeralda is sitting patiently off to the side watching the dragon lords discuss how best to get themselves killed. Her opinion wasn't asked for, and she isn't going to offer it but she is entertained watching them 'attempt' to plan. She doesn't say anything about their ideas, although as the plans start wrapping up she chimes in to mention, "I'll let you all sort out the fight, Ronaldo and I will just watch from the side. We'll make sure not to get in your way and you don't need to worry about protecting us. If things start going south, we both have our ways of getting out."

"If we have enough lead time where we can set the boat up somewhere else, we can keep any non-combatants safe, and have someplace to meet up if things do go wrong or if anyone dies and we need to wait for them."
"This proves my point that we shouldnt have brought you along in the first place," Naivara says, exasperated. "So perhaps you should stay in the town with your husband and stay there. Its probably safer."
"We came for some excitement, and as I said, we can keep ourselves safe. If we cannot witness the fight, then what was the point in coming in the first place?" Esmeralda is explaining calmly as if she was trying to calm a frustrated child.

Latrius nods.
"Remember—we have 11 dragons. Even an ancient red can only do so much against 11 others, especially with us backing them up."

Latrius blinks.
”Well of course, I’m not suggesting we run in screaming our heads off all at once. Probably would be better to send the dragons to distract it.”

Naivara still seems to think this whole thing is a bad idea, but once it's clear everyone else wants to go, she silently concedes.

„Maybe we should find out how its lair looks like. I doubt we can surprise it, so we may as well send in some eyes and ears first.“

„Another question is, who can pick up the broken pieces if thinks go wrong?“

Latrius raises his eyebrows.
”Fair enough. Ronaldo’s help would be appreciated, but that’s not my decision to make.”
