Speaking to Honor, Sylcan said, "Best friends, you say?" Dropping the smile, he shakes his head. "I'm afraid I have no recollection of you." Turning to the elf behind him, Sylcan nodded to confirm Vilana's conversation with the elf. "I do remember you - however, only your face, not your name, like my companion here said. A fleeting memory of a fight with goblins, and that's it." With an unpleasant laugh, he continued, "I suppose you don't remember me, though. I wouldn't expect you to, not here, in this situation. This world is cruel, isn't it? Ripping apart relations, and throwing away memories as if it were nothing." Anyone listening would sense the unpleasantness in his words, but unless they were looking carefully, they wouldn't see the glint in his eyes...
"Oh, are you sure?" Naivara asks, not wanting to impose on Tessa's raspberry's unless she was really sure. When she asks what she remembers, "I remembered Kierro..." she says, smiling shyly.
"Oh. Of course dear." Tessa holds out a handful of the deliciously ripe red fruit. "They are simply wonderful. Oh, Kierro. Well that is oddly specific and certainly better then remembering about berries." she says conspiratorially. This line of conversation is having a calming effect on Tessa. She starts to regain some color and her breathing become more regular. "Any details that come to mind that you would like to share? I don't mean to pry; but you do seem to have gotten a better memory by far." Tessa regards Kierro with a coy smile.
Naivara takes the fruit from Tessa with a smile, "Well thank you! And I don't remember much, just that Kierro and I were walking through the forest together. We seemed happy."
Honor sighs and gives in. "I wouldn't say I've lost all of my memories, but, well -- enough of them." She gestures over to where the group had been standing. "I was hoping you might remember me as well. I remembered Sylcan here after touching that shield that Higgul has --" she points him out if he's still visible "-- and I know the shield is mine, but I was hoping if someone else remembered me they could help me prove it. If it can unlock one memory, it could help me find more." She listens to the rest of what the others have to say. "The world can be cruel, but there must also be a reason why there are so many of us here. I want to know what happened, and if it can be fixed, but I feel for some of those who were affected by it, it may have done more than change their memory, if they're attacking people with no provocation."
"Just a bird that I cared for in my youth. As well as (assuming my abilities are the same as they were before, but diminished due to the memory loss) the fact that I was a cleric and healer who served a deity that I currently don't know the name of."
"I would not past it by some people to attack others even with their memory intact, one just has to be wary about them - now you know what to expect and be prepared. But hold on that thought of the shield. You might have something here. It looks like you three were close, or at least knew each other. Why don't you let Sylcan or - sorry, did not catch your your name - do the same, touch that shield of yours. Or have you tried that already?"
As the group starts to move again, several heading towards the inn, while the others continue to talk outside of the Town Hall, Walter pulls you aside a bit.
"Didn't mention this earlier, but there is another inn in town, the Sleeping Giant." He nods to the Southeast. "I have some friends there, part of that Redbrand crew." he shrugs. "They have a wizard who runs things for the crew there, they call him Glasstaff, he might be able to tell you something about your issue."
Mylene Durza
“These sounds like excellent friends to have, particularly if their leader is a powerful wizard,” Mylene answers. “Walter, do you think these Redbrands would be inclined to cooperate? You know them. How shall I best appeal to them, in your opinion? I’m seeing from my encountered with the other Erased - not over fond of that term - that it’s difficult to assert authority without concrete details to back it up. Will these people bargain fairly for the information and access I seek?”
Walter considers it a moment. "Glasstaff is just a henchman himself, following someone they call the Spider." He says with a shrug. "I would think that, as long as you are respectful, and careful to meet on neutral ground, they should deal with you fair enough."
Mylene taps a fingertip to her lip, thinking, then nods. "A good assessment, Walter. Manners aren't a problem, my proper upbringing and good breeding means I can show proper respect for his position, but I do agree, a meeting on neutral ground would be best, tactically, and for the social power dynamics of such an exchange. Can you arrange for a meeting with this Glasstaff? The 'Spider' also sounds intriguing. Likely some local power broker of note? I don't plan to make this region my home, of course, but given that these are the circumstances I am in, best to make do, and acquiring useful alliances as well as information are both excellent ideas. I'd like to arrange for a meeting with Glassstaff on neutral ground. Somewhere in town where he would also be inclined to be on his best behavior, I think, would suit me best."
"I find it likely that we could have fought goblins together. I have, after all, just returned from hunting more. In that case, I'd be more than happy to have you along. Oh—almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Latrius Markon."
To Naivara:
Latrius chuckles.
"Nay, no plans to kill you. Or, at least, not yet."
He finishes that last sentence with a wink, obviously not meaning any harm by it.

"Truly revealed to hear it, Latrius" nevertheless seriously answered Vilana, "if you three indeed were friends or comrades-in-arms - I am glad we decided to join. Even without any reward on the horizon." Now she winked at Honor. "Shall we try that "shield touching thing?"
"But tell me, what was your plan for after that raid Honor mentioned? Me and Sylcan were going to walk to Neverwinter - better chances to find someone capable of ... looking into our conditions. Or to start a new - if this is how things are going to be from now on."
"If what you say is true, and your thing was in someones possession for five years... Does it mean this is how long it was since we lost memories? Where were we all this time? I do not feel that old, and the loud girl on the street was human - she would be a child five years ago. Were we on a different plane and that is what caused the loss?" " We do need a proper wizard to answer it!"
"I can go and talk to some of my friends." Walter agrees. "Glasstaff isn't one to come out of their hideout often, but I would imagine we can get some sort of meeting set up. Will have to be somewhere in the ruins though, as he won't show his face in the town itself; I don't know why that is, but my friends told me he doesn't show his face in town for any reason."

"That's fine, he's welcome to his eccentricities, so long as it's not somewhere without avenues for escape, should he become treacherous," Mylene says. "Let me know when the meeting is set up, and we'll see if this Glasstaff can provide more answers. It looks like your little town has become quite lively, with all these newcomers. I'm going to see what else I can learn from them, and their experiences. Shall we meet up back at your home, after you've contacted the Rebrand lieutenant, and I've spoken with more of these 'Erased' people?"

Naivara turns to Kierro, "You mentioned a shrine and a priestess? Perhaps we could offer her help for shelter for the night? I serve a god too... just wish I could remember which one."
"I was hoping to go back to the Inn and possibly convince some of the others to go tonight still. I think there's too many of us to all go with anything approaching stealth. Or even necessity. If I do convince some, should we swing your way?" she asks Latrius.
Mylene completes her conversation with Walter, then rush towards Latrius, moving to intercept him before he leaves town. "Where are you off to? We still need to coordinate, all of those of us who fell under this memory curse. I'd like to compare our respective experiences and see what we might learn. This shouldn't take long. I plan to speak to everyone about what they went through."
She twists her body at an angle, placing one hand a hip and the other held high, regally. "You showed a rebellious streak earlier. Put your notions of independence aside for a moment. This is a simple practical reality. We all had a unique experience, and we all should learn as much as we can, yes? Now, I'll be asking everyone these questions. What is the first thing you remember? Where did the awaken, and were you naked? Have you came across any objects that contain a sense of familiarity to them, and if you touched said object, did you see a vision that feels like a lost memory, restored?"
