Simaal looks around as if 100 liches will jump down/phase through the floor, or simply teleport in. He seems to both want to go hug the sphere and run away from it. He looks for good hiding spots while moving with the group, quite obviously worried.
The group prowls around the underside of the tower. The massive magical ball, just atop a stand, rotates lazily in silence. There is no sign of any portal or connection leaving this place, but there are the subtle signs of a magical battle having happened in this place in the recent past, along with the subtle signs of the Leonin's and their arrival and battle. You can tell just where the previous portal was, but there is no sign of its existence anymore.
Toc nods, "Well...I could summon the elves, but...if the goddess claims this place as her own then I'm reluctant to bring the elves here until we're sure we've secured it. I'm just not sure how best to do so. The way we've done it in the past is by bonding to the Mythallar. Up to 10 people may do so. Whenever a new person bonds, everyone bonded knows what has happened. If the Ice Maiden is bonded to this thing, she will know immediately. To bond with it, you only need spend an hour in this room, focus'ing on the sphere, and you will bond with it. If 10 people have bonded to it though, you will be unable to."

Jezun wanders around, looking at the mythallar, but also the area around it, continually looking and listening for anything at all.

"Goddess? Are you here? We don't want to fight. I think there are these bad old dead people who want to run the place and they seem like bummers. Are you listening to me? Is this a prayer?"
Jezun calls out to the Ice Maiden. His voice echo's loudly in the chamber, bouncing from the ice covered walls. Only silence replies. Thyrius continues to circle the Mythallar. The air around the room is cold and still. Simaal watches from a dark corner just between two pillars, his eyes open wide looking for any sign of an undead legion appearing within the room. Xemnez stands still, his eyes scanning the room and frequently getting caught on the surface of the sphere that swirls about in a mesmerizing fashion. Mirica seems to be focused on providing her flying rainbow snake spirit with instructions. Toc stands still, like a statue, his automaton behind him also still. White plumes of breath escape his mouth as he considers his options. Otherwise the room is entirely empty.
Toc says out loud, "Mirica, Jezun, Russel, and I are already bonded to a Mythallar. We can not bond to another. If that is our path forward, it will need to be one of you."

Thyrius had feared that to be the case. Although somewhat honored by the trust placed on his brother and himself by these relatively new companions, Thyrius was not looking forward to bond himself to such a strange magical artifact. The black cat looked at Simaal. The elf... no, human... no, perhaps something in-between... seemed to have some curiosity regarding the arcane. Thyrius hoped he would volunteer. That said, Thyrius knew his brother was too honorable to not step up to the plate. He sensed the inevitable was coming.
In his mind, Thyrius wondered if Nuzej was bonded to a Mythallar. There seemed to be a disconnect between him and Jezun, so perhaps the dual-personality individual was unique in that he could bond to two Mythallars. Imagine the power he/they could attain!
Having apparently gotten sidetracked staring at the giant marble, it took Xemnez a few moments to register Toc's words. But when he finally did so, his eyes yet stayed glued on the mythallar while speaking aloud in a grim but resolute tone."We should make ourselves ready then. For she is as bonded as you say, no doubt than that she will be here shortly. Just... remind again of how to go about the process.... For I am ready."

"Uhm... what does this bonding entail, and what does it do, and how is it a bad thing." Simaal asks those that have already done it. Based on a reasonable explanation, he appears willing.
Toc seems to be deep in thought, then says mentally, "Did I say ten? The number is actually eight. My apologies. Um, you can only attune to a single Mythallar. There is no real negative to it. It will allow you to draw on the Mythallar's energy. Any of your items that use charges will draw energy from the Mythallar instead, never running out. The Mythallar's each have special powers, you can leverage those. The only reason it's bad is because we are guessing the Ice Maiden is bonded to this one, and if you try to, she'll know. Also, if eight people are bonded to it, no one else will be able to. You simply spend an hour in the presence of the object, focus'd on it, and you'll complete the bond if possible."

Jezun finishes his circuit of the room, really trying to clock any entrances or exits, and says to Toc and Mirica, “Xemnez is right - is there anything we should do to get ready for whoever answers the knock?” He gets himself ready, eyes alert and ears attuned to anything new.
Simaal sighs "Oh well, she's had here eye on me already, would be nice if we got around to actually look into her.... Alright, so we'll sit here for an hour and bond, then we .... what's after that, call your friends Toc?" Simaal steps forward and prepares to get friendly with the sphere... but no touching..
Toc shrugs, "I dunno. If she shows up, I guess we should....probably be as ready as we can be to fight a demi-god. Good luck everyone. I'll make sure we have that mental connection in the minutes leading up to the top of the hour."
The company gets settled in to wait as Simaal sits down in a relaxed fashion and begins concentrating on the sphere. Simaal sits within 20 feet of the sphere and just reaches his mind out...feeling...something, akin to bonding with a magical item but somehow more. Thyrius and Xemnez get settled in nearby to watch and wait. Mirica's flying rainbow snake has done a full circuit of the room and now hovers next to her where she settles in. There are entrances on all sides, gaps through the pillars that hold the massive tower up overhead, but otherwise no obvious entrances or other hidden feature that the snake can find.
Toc puts his back to one pillar, furthest from the Mythallar while still being in the room. His automaton stands just to his side, silently watching.
Jezun glances about at folks, but otherwise finds himself with his own thoughts for a short time.
The otherwise entirely empty room sits silent and icy cold.
The Couatle disappeared, returning to his plane and indicating that the time of bonding with Mythallar was up. Yet, the room remained quiet... Mirica waited a few more minutes to be sure, but when quoter an hour later no one appeared, relaxed a bit. "Either the goddess was not bound to that Mythallar after all or she does not care. Can you call some of your forces now, Toc? Summoning just seven more would answer the question more precisely."
(Oops the hour is not up yet. Just narrating everyone getting settled for the hour. Anyone do anything just before the hour is up? Toc casts a ritual to link your minds in the last 10 minutes.)

Unfortunately for Xemnez, there had been little in the way for the golden-furred Leonin to prepare for any oncoming fight beyond near constant vigilance and patrolling around the Mythallar. The latter of which he refrained from doing so, least he find himself too far from the others. Then an odd thought occurred leading him to side-eying his brother with some trepidation, "What... do you think are the odds that a warm meal being prepared might confuse her enough to give pause for conversation, Brother?"

Thyrius lets a quick laugh out upon hearing his brother's question. "Let us not forget we already had quite the filling meal. Do you wish to fill our bellies even more, and hers too?" On a more serious note, the black cat adds: "Gods are not likely to crave the nourishment of mortals."
As the hour approaches, Thyrius prepares in a few different ways:
-> Casts True Seeing on Xemnez (gold cost deducted).
-> Finally east his Pear of Invisibility, using the first of three charges to go invisible immediately afterwards.
Within the last minute or so, Thyrius also casts True Seeing on Xemnez, and Invisibility on himself after eating a pear, along with hideing.
As Toc is casting his telepathic bond spell, he looks around, "Um...Russel? If you want this spell, you have to show yourself, you know this. Has anyone seen Russel?" It would seem your black bird is missing. No one has seen him since you reached the Mythallar chamber.
