Wendigo returns, his white fur blemished with black ash and soot. As he speaks, he ineffectually tries to brush it off, but only succeeds in spreading it around further.
"Nothing. Should be safe to go. Stupid ash."

Still worried about hidden dangers, Miles moves ahead to lead the way, keeping a wary eye out for trouble and a profession eye out for any edible and pre-cooked beetle remains.

"I'm the nimblest among us so maybe I should go ahead and test it first? If something were to happen, I'd probably have the best chance of making it to either side." Vera offered as well.
(With expertise in Acrobatics and Cunning Actions (to dash), Vera probably has the best shot of making across in some form should things go wrong).

"Moment." Jhazaal says, stopping the others. "Jhazaal know way make safer..." Without explaining then he turns into a Giant Wolf Spider and climbs down the wall under this side of the bridge. he starts using his webbing to reinforce the underside of the bridge, working to keep it from breaking as the group crosses.

Knox nods to Wendigo, staying put, but remaining ready for trouble.

Jhazaal stays hidden...
Vera will likewise stay where she is for the time being but will charge forward should she hear anything up ahead.

Wendigo, you find nothing other than charred webs. It seems to have made the going easier for you, at least.

Jhazaal would be ready to move out, coming out of hiding as the others prepare to move onward.

Vera will follow along from the rear of the group, keeping an eye out for anything that might be lurking behind them.

Knox follows closely with Miles near the front of the group, his shield still at the ready in case of trouble.

(How wide is this ravine?)

Miles:
Looking up from his inspection of the bridge, Miles says, "Sounds reasonable, Vera. I'll hold the end of the rope if you want to tie it to yourself."
OOC: Miles will share with the class if he notices anything unusual about the bridge.

The ravine is 40 feet wide. Nothing seems odd about the bridge.

Knox looks to Jhazaal as Miles helps Vera prepare for her expedition.
"Jhazaal, you are able to change into a spider, perhaps you could accompany Vera, in case of trouble."

If Jhazaal takes the form of a spider, can he use his webbing to reinforce the bottom of the bridge?
Nodding to the others and attaching the rope to herself, Vera carefully began to edge her way forward across the bridge.

Vera, you make it across with no issues. You can’t really tell, however, if Jhazaal’s help made the difference or not.
