Knox, you find 25 gold pieces. You also find 8 usable spears, nets and shields. None were wearing armor, just relying on their thick, scaly skin for protection.

Jhazaal would have helped with the searching of the bodies. "Anyone able to carry some of this?" He asks, nodding to the pile of spears and nets. "Might come in handy, or, at the very least, give us something to trade if we reach one of these cities we are heading towards."

"Yes I agree we should keep moving" Vera replies as she rejoins the group after patching herself up. As she moves to front of the party, she spares a long glance at the bodies of the Kuo-Toa, before whipping her head forward and continuing on deeper into the cavern.
Not long after you start moving again, you run into another kuo-toa patrol. This one, however, doesn't attack immediately. It consists of 6 normal kuo-toa, 2 monitors, and one older looking one with a staff. The toa with a staff moves forward, and speaks in Undercommon:
"I am Ploopploopeen, archpriest of the Sea Mother Blibdoolvpoolp. She answers my prayers by delivering you. Help us, and you will be rewarded for your service."

"Ah, excellent. This shouldn't be of much trouble at all, and I can promise a safe rest before you continue your travels. Here's the problem—the inhabitants of Sloobludop have lived in harmonious service to the will of the Sea Mother for quite some time. Sure, there were occasional "visionaries" who stirred up trouble—" here he glances rather pointedly at Shuushar "—but, nothing too serious. A few weeks ago, however, my own daughter experienced a powerful vision of "Leemooggoogoon the Deep Father," and backed up her claims with a large increase in magical prowess. Followers flocked to her, and we've been split in two ever since. The followers of the Deep Father have been sacrificing more and more creatures on their altar lately, and they throw the bloody remains into the Darklake, where they're eaten by . . .something." He shudders at that.
"So here's my proposition, brave adventurers. The Deep Father always need more sacrifices, and I propose to use you as bait. Not actual sacrifices of course, you have my word that you will not be betrayed. I will take you to their altar as a "token of peace and reconciliation," but shall turn on the followers of this upstart Deep Father as soon as they're distracted. I make sure you aren't actually bound, and you help me excise this festering sore on the peaceful life of Sloobludop. If you do this for me, you will be . . .lavishly rewarded. We have many treasures we've scavenged from the lake and the surrounding area, and I'd be more than happy to give you some in exchange for your assistance. And boats and supplies for the journey to Gracklstugh, of course. What say you?"

"A fair enough question. How about this—what would I have to gain from your deaths? You're undoubtably fine warriors, and could help significantly in the following dust up. If I kill you, I lose your assistance. The Sea Mother is a benevolent goddess, not a murderer."

"Better to make some allies down here than more enemies." Jhazaal speaks up as the others are considering the offer. He nods his acceptance of the offer and would agree to it if the others are on board with the plan as outlined.

Knoxalso takes a short break to tend to his wounds, patching up the fibrous area, between the metal plating, that are seeping a clear liquid.
As the group heads along the shore and runs into another group of Kuo-Toa, Knoxis immediately defensive, placing himself between the new group and the less robust of his groups members.
As the Kuo-Toa speak and the others respond, Knoxlooks back and forth between them.
"What are they saying? They have not attacked us, am I to understand they are not hostile, unlike the last group?"
"What do they want?"

"They would like for us to rid their home of a rouge element, worshipers of this 'Deep Father' in return for a reward and assistence in getting to Gracklstugh." Vera replies to Knox.
Turning toward Ploopploopeen (what a name btw), Vera asks "If we agree, how many followers of the 'Deep Father' might we have to face?"

Seeing as their destination will lead them through Sloobludop first, Vera will also accept the Kuo-Toa's offer though she will stay on guard as she does not fully trust them just yet.
"How far away is your home?" she asks Ploopploopeen

"Seems good to me." Jhazaal agrees with a nod of his bald head. He runs a hand over that baldness as he glances over his shoulder towards the path behind. "Hopefully we won't have to worry about Drow pursuit once we reach there..."
As the group starts ahead Jhazaal would find a place towards the middle, wanting a good amount of his companions in front of, as well as behind him, as they travel ondward.
Sloobludop is, in fact, only an hour away. You walk through a makeshift gate made of nets, and are led to a shrine of some sort. A nine-foot-tall statue stands here. Its body is roughly carved from some kind of wood in the shape of a humanoid female, its head and forearms formed from the severed head and claws of a giant albino crayfish. These parts are lashed on with strands of gut, and emit an overpowering stench of rotting shellfish. Shells, brightly colored stones, mushrooms, and rotting fish are piled at the statue’s feet and strung in garlands around its neck. Four stern kuo-toa slowly circle the statue, alert and on guard, while a few others mill about, gazing up at the statue and bowing repeatedly while chanting.

Brio grabs two nets and a spear before moving along the tunnel, "We should hurry out of here."

Plooopploopeen seems delighted.

Wendigo eyes the toa with suspicion.
"How can we... trust word?"
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
