"While I want to help him, chasing him until we're lost deep in the Underdark seems like a pretty bad plan; especially since I suspect we're still being targeted by the Drow." she replies still rather exhaustedly. "If we don't try to catch him now, I unfortunately think we need to move forward without him. If he comes to his senses, hopefully he could find us again." Vera continues though inwardly not at all convinced of the truth of her own words. She will then pause and look at the others to give her a definite answer on how they want to proceed.
"All we do by continuing after him now is force him to run deeper and deeper into the region ahead." Jhazaal informs the group. "By stopping chasing him, we allow him, hopefully, to stop sooner, and, maybe, come back to himself enough to rejoin us."

Jhazaal just sits there, his breathing eventually slowing. After a while he would speak. "I don't think I know of any way to help Wendigo out." he says to the group. "Do any of you know anything that might aid him in whatever has happened to him?"
"Hopefully you're right Knox." Vera replies quietly. After listening to his comments about the Demogorgon, "I've never heard of one before it appeared 50 feet from me but I agree it seems incredibly dangerous. Unfortunately, I don't know how much help we're going to find down here. The Drow and Duergar who are the most capable of challenging it are very unlikely to listen to us or assist and anyone above ground is unlikely to venture so deep in the Underdark to challenge it. Hopefully I'm wrong though as I'd rather not have that monster running amok; it didn't seem all right in the head." Pausing before correcting herself, "Heads" and despite their situation, she laughed a little now that the danger had temporarily passed and she remembered how "silly" it had acted.
"Are you not drow Vera? I confess I am not always so good at distinguishing the nuances between races that appear similar, but you look like the other drow to me."
"Would none of them listen to you if you brought such troubling news?"
Vera is quiet for a moment before responding. "While it's true that I look like them, I am not one of them, not truly. I'm a Half-Drow born to an elf mother who decided to reject the will of Lolth in favor of Elistraee and live on the surface away from most of her kind." Vera pauses for a moment as her face scrunched up in concentration, pondering a choice. Deciding to trust the people she's been traveling with she continues, "And in truth even if my heritage wasn't an issue..." stopping a moment to pull out a necklace hidden underneath her clothing of a bastard sword laying on top of a full moon, "This symbol here seals my fate. As a Sword Dancer of Elistraee, it is my duty to oppose oppression, fight Lolth and help and Drow who want to be free of her influence. It's why I'm down in the Underdark... and why my squadron was killed and I was captured." She stops again for a long while before finishing, "So no, talking will get me nowhere with them besides my death or something far worse..."
"How long should we wait here for Wendigo to return?" Jhazaal voices the thought he guesses most of the group has been considering. He has listened to the discussion of demons, but has no real input on it. His only real desire is to get as far away from any demon as he can.
As Jhazaal speaks, a disheveled looking Wendigo stumbles into sight, panting heavily. He waves with one hand as he clutches a cramp in his side with the other. Once he reaches the group, he collapses into a sitting position.

"I do not feel right leaving our companion to be lost to the darkness, he did not seem in his right mind."
"But if everyone else wants to let him go, I will concede to the will of the group."
Knox stands motionless, his expressionless face unreadable.

(It seems the consensus is to let Wendigo keep going. Are you resting, or just pausing at the moment?)
(Also, what is Wendigo doing?)

Yeah if we are close enough that the Demon could reasonably find us in an hour, I think we would be too close to fully stop just yet.
But if we are further than that, a short rest and strategy session as Zoldier suggested would be good.

(Agreed, short rest if appropriate, otherwise move until it is.)
(Rest and hopefully continue after and find Wendigo.)
The group settles down to rest, while Wendigo continues forward.
(Are you doing anything during your rest? Wendigo, if you're doing something other than running PM it to me.)
(Also, I posted recruitment for a PC to replace Hawthorn.)

"Neither do I unfortunately." Turning to the other magical members in the party, she asked "Could it be magical in nature?"

"Unfortunately my magical capacity has not yet expanded to the strength required to cast the kinds of spells that may help."
"Hopefully the malady is of a temporal nature and will pass with time, if it is a more permanent malediction...well, lets hope that isn't the case."
Knox stands motionless for a time before speaking again.
"I have been thinking about the demon, Demogorgon, I am concerned that such a creature is here in our mortal world."
"I cannot remember all of the details, but I believe Demogorgon is a higher order demon."
"Such creature could cause untold destruction and corruption if it is not sent back to the Abyss."
"I think perhaps, if we have the opportunity, we should inform those with the power and resources to tackle such a creature, of its existence."

Jhazaal is so glad to see Wendigo return. "Do you require healing?" He asks, stepping forward. "Are you ok now?"
"Fine."
...
"Sorry."
