"An equal share of loot found, seems fair and agreeable."

Knox waits to hear the goblins response to Paquinal's last question.

The other goblin looks at his partner, then shrugs.

"Every so often.  They usually don't bother large groups, unless they're really hungry.  Even then yous can usually scare 'em off."

Paquinal sighs. His mission is urgent, and so dealing with some spiders may be a necessity to complete his goals. "Very well. It seems the consensus is to head on. Lead the way."

"Ready when you are." Jhazaal agrees.

"Agreed," replied Vera.

Knox nods his agreement, ready to start moving out.

The two goblins grin, and leap out onto the webs.  You notice their feet seem to be smeared with some sort of grease, and it seems it allows them to move faster on the webs.  They beckon to you to follow, and you set out at a brisk pace (4 10).

After traveling about 500 feet, a ghastly apparition rises up before you.  The two goblins yelp and back up swiftly, as what looks like a ball with a giant mouth, one large eye, and 4 smaller eyes on tentacles appears.

All of you hear a slithering, unpleasant voice speaking inside your mind.

"What isss thisss?  Hmm?  What creaturessss are these, who are you?  Have you ssseeen the demonsssss in the dark?  Do you serve them?"

Paquinal perks up at the mention of demons. "You know of this? What do you know?" Remembering that there are others with him, he clears his throat and changes his tone. "I mean, who might you be, and why might you be inquiring whether we simple folk serve demons?"

Wendigo whips out his axes, holding them at the ready.

"Have seen... demon. Not serve. Demons... enemies."

"We have seen Demogorgon, and as Wendigo says, we don't serve any demons."

"I serve the the Wonderbringer, Gond, Lord of All Smiths."

Knox readies his shield, and keeps his flame ready to throw if needed.

"What are your intentions, do you mean us harm?"

"NO serve demons." Jhazaal puts in.  "Just wish to pass on cross these webs..."

The monstrosity's one large eye narrows, its smaller eyestalks darting back and forth.

"Gond?  You serve a demon called Gond?  What sssay you in defense, demon servant"

"Gond is a god, you fool. But what are you?" Paquinal asks.

Knox' arm that holds his flame, shakes for a moment.

"Be careful of your blaspheme creature, Gond is no lowly demon, show at least a minimum of respect for his divinity."

"Who are you and who, or what, do you serve?"

Vera, who has been quiet since the exchange with the creature began, slowly places her hand near her sword pommel just incase the creature decides to attack.  She'll also look around for anything that might work as an escape route.

Perception (If investigation, subtract 3 from total): 9 

The creature seems to be growing more and more agitated.

"So you truly worship your demon master?  You'd defend him so?  Very well, you leave me with no choice."

It dives towards Knox, its eyes beginning to glow.
