(OOC: I'm assuming we have enough privacy at the moment to discuss as a group)
"I think I have a strategy that can get us out of here." Vera begins walking towards the center of the cell. "When the guard leaves our cell open we split into 3 teams. One team will be a distraction used to lure the guards away from their post. A second team made up of our stealthiest members will go to the vacated guard tower and grab all the equipment we need to make our escape while the 3rd team can protect any of those who are unable to fight. I think it might be too difficult to move all together as one group of 15. Thoughts?" She finishes looking around at the others.
(After examining the shard) "Yes I think this can work nicely" Vera replies as she gives the shard a couple of good slashes before returning it to him. Looking at the rest of the group "Anyone else willing or able to help?"
(OOC: Not sure if any NPCs would be helping the party as well or if we should consider them all "unable to fight")

I am not very sneaky and not a great warrior, only received basic training. But i know about medicine and can endure quite a lot. I'll be going with the other protectors.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hawthorn would try to slip through the manacles rather than breaking it... (Not sure what check would be required so: 9 + any relevant bonus) ...but also fails. They fit thight around the bone, i cant slip through Hawthorn sight and continues: Who wants to break a wrist?
"Don't think timing is up to us." Jhazaal says as he retakes his seat in the corner again. "We need to wait for the drow to make his distraction and whatnot."
"Maybe we can get the guard to leave us his keys as well. Otherwise the stealth team will probably have to try and find a set as well as our equipment." Vera adds. Looking at Eldeth, Jimjar and Bupiddo she asks "You three seem particularly interested in helping out. Do you have any useful skills that might help with our breakout?"
(OOC: Did we want to try and escape as soon as possible or spend an extra day or two trying to gather more information?)
Jorlan would have indicated that he'll cause his distraction when he gives you your next meal, so you have about four hours. The guard currently there isn't really paying you any attention.

"That is... Ok then..." Jhazall says with a frustrated sigh. "At least we know the thing is there, better fighting our way out than being stuck here."

"I can protect those who can't fight. I won't be the most helpful but I will do what I can."
"Can... sneak. Iron bar. Give."
The beast mimes swinging a weapon, indicating that he intends to use the bar as a weapon.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
"Here," Brio says as she hands the iron to the beast
Wendigo gives it a few experimental swings, testing its weight before stopping and grunting, apparently satisfied.
"When we... er... go out?"
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
"I am not overly stealthy."
Knox gets up from where he has been sitting, demonstrating even before he is fully standing, the amount of metal on metal noises his body can make.
"So I should not be in that group."
"I can protect, I still have armour, as it cannot be removed against my will."
Knox indicates this by slapping his metal hand against his chest.
Knox pulls out the flint shard from where he has been keeping it and asks,
"Do you think this might be useful for the stealthy group? Maybe to cut through any ropes or the like?"

"I'll do what I can." Jhazaal puts in. "I have some spells, which I should be able to use while not in this cell."
"What a-bout our... man... mana-cles?"
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
The rest of the prisoners look at you warily, but agree with various levels of surliness.
Eldeth, Jimjar and Bupiddo are the least surly, and seem excited to finally try for freedom. The rest are mostly ambivalent.

Knox takes back the Flint Shard and hides it again.
"Just let me know when you want it."
Knox nodes at Wendigo's question about their manacles.
"Indeed, any escape will be harder if we cannot remove these beforehand."
Knox pulls his manacles to their extremes, failing to break them apart.
"When do we plan to execute our escape attempt?"
