Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
Coming into land Deryck, a large flap of his wings causes sand to blow everywhere. He approaches the two looking at the map, leans over their shoulders and proceeds to point out the spire. "Its a few miles that way, 200 ft tall, doesnt look right". In a sudden beat of his wings has taken to the sky again, preferring to be in the skies constantly on the lookout rather than be locked to the ground. He leaves Mordekii and Asp to study the map and make plans for the day as he does not normally need maps and prefers to let the flow of the air and winds guide him but will assist where needed.
Seeing that there is not much they can do, Kap sits near Asp and Mordedkii, and Kap will pull out a book and begin reading. Everyone can notice that the book is not one for adults. The pages have giant letters, only able to fit about twenty words a regular sized page. Even though it is obviously a children's book, Kap seems to have trouble, those close can hear that Kap begins muttering the words on the page, stumbling on an occasional word.
Mordekii see what Kap is doing and uses Awakened Mind to talk into Kap's mind.
"Don't give up. It may be hard or frustrating, but you will overcome, and it will be worth it in the end."
Awakened Mind
Starting at 1st level, your alien knowledge gives you the ability to touch the minds of other creatures. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.

Git's stomach, finally settling down from the slow churn it had been in since he set foot on that accursed ship, was feeling better, and he crept out from the thick brush he has stretched out in while the others had worked on the camp.
The nap had done wonders for his mood, and he positively skipped towards the sounds of a meal being prepared. His mood soured a little when he heard talk of the Red what? Red Crag tribe? He had never heard of them, but it sounded dangerous...
He paused in his search for food and stared at a small group discussing it with excitement, and picked nervously at the remains of a scruffy beard. Then he shrugged and turned again towards the cookfires. Beats that God's forsaken boat....
Gwythian rises with a stretch and swigs a little water from his water skin and makes his way toward where breakfast is being prepared.

Kap will jump in surprise at the voice in her head from Mordekii, but once they realize what it was a smile will grow on their face. After a moments pause, they will whisper, "Thank you." Then they will continue reading until it's time to depart.
Belly full, Git was in a great mood. He whistled tunelessly to himself as he gathered his few things to be ready to leave.
This lot did not seem so bad. He would probably tag along with them for a bit and see where it took him. Besides, Git was curious now about that tower thingy, and Git hated an unsatisfied curiosity...
"Trekking beyond Blacksand Cove and the coastline, the island quickly becomes a dense jungle. Towering trees covered and carpeted with moss and draped with vines create a thick canopy which casts shadows over over the near impenetrable undergrowth."
Git notices Elesia's footprints on the trail you follow. Over the past two days, you noticed that she's spent an awful lot of time in the jungle. You travel for a day through the lush jungles of Serpent Isle. Your march through the wood is uneventful except for that Asp believes that she discovered a new species of butterfly. Finally, you reach the tribal outpost that Captain Farsail spoke of:
"Atop a fern covered hill on a headland about a day's trek northeast of Blacksand Cove is a ramshackle wooden outpost. One tribal human stands at the foot of the structure. His body has been painted in black mud and on the top of this he wears the remnants of a human skeleton. He glares around into the jungle, clearly keeping an open eye for invaders."
