Rinn watches a moment as everyone moves forward. He then slinks along behind everyone, keeping low and quiet to stay as hidden as possible while still keeping an eye out for trouble (Stealth: 15 and Perception: 7).
Ikki takes off, flying 100 feet per round toward the cart about 50 feet up. If he sees any danger, he'll use ki (step of the wind) to increase his movement by 50 feet to get out of harm's way. If he flies over and sees no danger, he'll fly back over at 30 feet. If he still sees no danger, he'll report back to the group.
(( OOC: Speed of 100 ft per round (6 sec); 1000 ft/min; 60,000 ft/hr; 11.4 mph; that's much slower than a regular eagle 35 to 45 mph; and a athletic runners sustainable 15 to 20 mph; just funny to me ))
Ikki flys forward about double the speed of Wolfsong and the goblins. Blaire and Rinn are about half the distance behind them. Robwin starts at pace with Blaire but soon is half the distance behind them. TT keeping pace with him and encouraging him to keep moving. Eli is back with the horse and cart.
As you get closer, Ikki, you do not see anything of alarm except a body laid out within the rigging.
You all reach the wagon having in your own ways some splitting off to approach hidden. All in all very commendable formation.
The wagon is slightly damaged but functional. A couple bags of goods are damaged and raided by wildlife but the majority of supplies are undamaged. You set camp. Unharnes and care for the Oxen and Al's horse and cart.
The goblins are angry and agitated. It is definitely Cragmaw to blame as far as they are concerned.
"We go pale skin place; we kill Gragmaw; we tell king; yes?" Glufs asks while she and the other two pitch in wherever Blaire or TT assign them. Finishing each task and asking, "What next?"
The wagon is packed full of an assortment of mining supplies and food. This includes a dozen sacks of flour, several casks of salted pork, two kegs of strong ale, shovels, picks, and crowbars (about a dozen each), and five lanterns with a small barrel of oil (about fifty flasks in volume). There are also clothes, tackle, and base materials for improving crafting, leatherwork and whatnot.
The wagon has blade marks and arrows stuck in it, but no explicit markings.
The body is a halfling, apparently the wagon driver. The arrows in his chest and stomach are caught in the rigging keeping the wheel lock open and the oxen free to meander.
Rinn frees the body to get the body out of the wheel lock, and helps Robwin get it off the cart. He then goes around the cart, collecting all the Cragmaw arrows from the cart and placing them in his pack for later.
Robwin, examining the body you find a pouch with 5 gp, 3 ep, 6 sp, 8 cp, a dagger, a sling and a pouch with 15 sling bullets and this letter.

My friend,
My brothers and I have found something big. I will not put it to ink at this time but look forward to showing you in person. Hire some hands or guards, you know the type, to escort the wagon and supplies to Barthen’s Provisions. Oh, yes, I secured a wagon and supplies. Supplies are for my team, requests from Barthen and items for my brothers. Don't worry, Elmar has the stock lists to sort everything out. We'll pay up to five members ten gold pieces each upon delivery. That includes you, my friend. I am setting out with Sildar Hallwinter; that warrior I introduced you to. We have some business to take care of then we will meet you at Stonehill Inn. I left a pouch of twenty gold. A gold to secure each hire and the rest is for whatever you need.
After cleaning the body a little, Robwin turns to the party, “We should probably continue on into town and update Barthen on everything: the ranch, this cart, everything...”.
”Should we load the body onto the cart and head there now? Or do we need to camp first?... how much further is it, to town from here?”. He looks around at the horizon...
As the party moves away and their attention is held elsewhere, Rinn brings about an invisible mage hand and attempts to quietly gather up the coin left behind by Robwin (Sleight of Hand: 18).
Party: It is now very easy morning. The Ox are hitched to the wagon. The horse is hitched to the cart. Camp is broken down. A meal had provided by Wolfsong and the goblins for those that chose to partake.
===== ===== ===== The previous evening:
Party: It was very late full Dusk when you inspected the body and set camp. The blessing of dark vision was very useful. Wolfsong, Rinn, Robwin, Eli and the goblins were an emence help.
Rinn: As it was near dark and you made sure no one was around, you successfully collect the coin. I'm sure you replaced the pouch with stones so the pouch looked no different and for "fair trade" in your young mind.
Rinn: In reverie this evening, you dream/remember running and running. It is a great race. You were chosen to run. The exhilarating sensation of exerting your will to move over your body, all the training, for this. The woods you run in are sacred and beautiful. And you wake exhilarated.
Robwin: It's been a long time since your reverie had included dream/memory without significant effort and meditation. You are sitting upon a ledge watching the moon rise over a large body of water. "Oh, my child, you have been doing so much. It stimulates the mind." As you look to your side, it is the golden haired variant of your visions beside you. You turn your head back to the moon. Is this a fantasy or a memory? "It is a little of both truely. You sat here. Watched the moon rise. I sat beside you. I brushed the hair from eyes.", she says as she does so. "You did not see me then. I enjoy this moment. I come here from time to time." And you awake rested and at peace.
Ikki: You dream that night of the halflings you grew to know all those years ago.
TT and Eli: You dream of family and of funerals; of saying goodbye.
Blaire, following Robwin's suggestion, will wrap and tie the body in a camp blanket from the cart. She has experience with this, sadly, from her years at sea.
"Well, I'm not the greatest with animals," Rinn says a little sheepishly, "I mean I like them, but I don't think they like me. So I'm not sure if I'm the best person to drive the cart back. But if no one else wants to I can try!" He perks up a little at this last part.
Once again, Ikki eats near the party, observing, but does not eat food provided by the goblins.
When it is time to continue on the journey, Ikki walks today. TT keeps feeling his red-brown eyes on her as he marches just a couple of paces behind her. When she glances at him, the bird-man does not turn away or hide his gaze. He walks behind her, hunched slightly, his wings tucked, his spear held at an angle across his torso with both hands, beak clicking quietly at random intervals, and his bird feet scratching up the road as he walks.

Are there any markings on the cargo?
Robwin catches up with the party, and the recovered wagon. “Is that... a body in the rigging??!...”. He moves over to inspect it...

Rinn looks over the damage to the cart.
(DM Question: Are there Cragmaw arrows stuck in the side of the cart? If so, Rinn will collect them up for later use.)

This is going to be incredible.

Robwin leaves everything on the body but the letter, which he reads solemnly, aloud, to the party.
He lays the body on the floor and uses prestidigitation a couple of times to clean the worst of the blood and dirt from it, especially the face...

As we are moving away TT will be saying a quiet prayer for the halflings safe passage to the Crystal Spire.

And if there’s room, they’ll help each other to steer the cargo back towards town.
