Waking up on the ground Felix will slowly sit up. "........." Holding his hands to the sides of his head he will wait for a second before try the ritual again. 

As he's waiting he will take a couple of dry Manga leaves and start to chew on them. 

[Felix will chew about 1 ounce and regain one hit point.]

After Felix is done chewing the appropriate amount of leaves he will contemplate about either waiting or trying again. He's experienced pain before but that was crazy intense if he tries again and fails he doesn't think he could make it through a second time.

"Jon... You sure about this? I don't think my body can take another one. What's so important that you're willing to risk you're life."

OOC I need a CON save from Brunella

Brunella swallows the snake no problem and slithers up to the top.

Jon sees the disfigured face of Felix but he is not impressed. He also gives a glimpse of an answer to Felix's question. "Love." Then, he tries again the snake test.

Musharib is not so enthusiast to try again, but better to deal this quickly, they have to resume the journey to the south as soon as possible.

OOC Felix can try again the snake test. He gets Bless (+1d4), but the save is with disadvantage.

Musharib gets to eat the snake easily this time and reaches the top. For Jon is a pain again. Dragonbait makes a move to help his friend, almost drawing the sword from the back, but Jon, bleeding from the nose stops him. "No, my friend. Do not come back here." And one more snake is swallowed.

And so, somehow, all the adventurers passed the snake-test.

Jon: " Those are the symbol of Ubtao. Finally, we have found it, the shrine of Saja N’baza. There is only one way in. The doorway."

OOC Now, state what do you do about the doorway and the orchid and feather.

First Felix will rewrap his face and place his mask (Sad) back on. Then Felix he will watch what Jon does then following suit. Seeing how Jon knows about this place it's better to follow his lead. Keeping his eyes open for any ambush or traps.

Kurma is looking for any signs around  the entrance and cast detect magic as a ritual

From the outside, beyond the open doorway is a barren, dusty room and nothing else.

Kurma can perceive an explosion of magic all around this place. Although it is not magic of a particular school. It feels like a burst of raw magic.

Gertrude hugs Felix when he gets up there. "I am so glad you made it." Then she turns to the shrine. Labyrinth symbols... 

While Kurma meditates. Gertrude walks around the shrine. She tries to make sense of the symbols. Understand if there is anything they should remember. She feels this is important. But she also feels that she might not be clever enough to solve this... "Felix, would you help me look at these symbols?" Then she looks around. "I think we should all try to keep them in our memory..."

"Inete, can you tell us a story about the god Ubtao? I feel like we're unequipped to enter like this." 

Then Gertrude gets her weapons ready, to face whatever is inside.

Inete: " Ubtao was the protector of Chult, the dinosaurs of this land his children. The only one worshipped by the Chultans. But more than one century ago, Ubtao left this land and his worshippers. Nobody has a clear answer for the reason why he left. His clerics lost their spells, many cities in the jungle simply felt to plague and diseases. And Mezro, the capital, His pride, was destroyed. "

OOC If you are about to enter the room, tell me what you do with the orchid and the feather.

Gertrude listens to Inete. Then she goes close to the door. It seems to be a simple room. No stairs, no doors, no passageways. 

She sheathes her weapons and takes the orchid in her right hand and the feather in her left hand. She enters the room - trying to see any traps or any danger coming towards her. 

"I bow to you, Saja N’baza, the all-knowing. We are wanderers, trying to find our way, trying to help the people of Chult. The magic is gone and now a curse is crushing its inhabitants. Please help us!"

On the doorstep, Gertrude can smell a quite nice odour of incense. As she steps further into the shrine, Gertrude disappears.

Jon, Dragonbait and Inete, emulating the Goliath, enter the room and disappear as well.

Musharib is troubled: " Oh by my hairy arse, why must it be always this complicated? " He waits for the others to say what they do.

Kurma witness the Goliath’s and some of his companions disappear, including Inete. Not wanting to let her down, he looks at mushari and say

”well, I guess we have to follow? Let’s go where no tortle have gone before !”

Performing the same “ritual”, Kurma enters.

And Kurma the Tortle disappears as well.

Felix will look at Musharib and the other "I agree Musharib... Well go ahead guys I am right behind you."
