OOC: so how many rations would we have had to consume tonight? two fish would make for 6 rations, plus the guide and Inete? Can they look after themselves?
Gertrude is disappointed that the lizard folk just left. She was hoping for a good fight - even though if asked she would have had to confess that the positioning of her party was less than acceptable.
In the rain, she looks for shelter.
"Musharib, what about this spot over there" Gertrude points to a spot under a thick tree. She offers to take the first watch of the night.
"That is a good one!"Musharib secure the canoes and then moves under the trees."Put the rain catcher later, when the rain is less heavy. I'll do the second watch."
Oniss helps Kurma with dragging and securing the canoe. He takes shelter under the trees with thick canopy. Warming his hands he say;
"I haven't seen rains like this since the time I attempted to steal some valuable pelts from the Emerald Enclave in Turmish. That little caper left me richer but soaked to the bone, Ha Ha. That was the furthest south I have gone before my message, calling me to Chult? Esher had some good plans back then..."
He trails off after mentioning Esher, his former mentor,

I think Brunella can also find up to 6 persons ration per day. that should give us plenty...
Having sailed in and around a few hurricanes over the years, Irommek seemed to be only slightly vexed by the downpour. Sitting down with the group under the shelter of the tree he began to wring out his beard.
“Great negotiations Kurma and good thinking to help out with the show Brunella. Personally I would have liked to see if what they said about the taste of lizard tail was true, but that would probably have been a hard fought entrée.”
Settling in and using his shield as a pillow, Irommek adds, “I’ll take third watch. Wake me when it’s time.”
The heat had only broke slightly with the rain and soon it would be as humid as a dwarven hot springs sauna. Irommek wasted no time to nod off while he could.
Brunella, seeing the rain fall, knows that this means one thing in the jungle: Mushrooms.
Mushrooms grow very quickly, in a matter of hours. After the camp has been settled, she melts into the trees and looks under roots and fallen logs, where the right kind of mushrooms will bloom. She also knows that lizard holes will be flooded, and reaches her hand down a few holes to find four fat lizards the size of her arm. She comes back with the lizards and several armfuls of brown mushrooms with purple spots.
She brings back the harvest to the group. The lizards will not be possible to cook in this downpour, but the bready and floral mushrooms can be eaten raw, so the party doesn't have to sleep on an empty stomach.
She then settles opposite Gertrude to take first watch. She offers a mushroom to the Goliath.
The night passes uneventfully. The storm finishes few hours after midnight. Until dawn, the rain is more moderate. Moderate enough to use the rain catcher to collect 8 gallons of drinkable water.
Mushraib is eager to continue:" All right, you lazy arses, help me with the canoes. We must keep moving."
At dawn, Brunella starts a fire with moss and some kindling. She quickly and efficiently skins and guts the lizards, tossing some choice gut bits to Kurma for fishbait. She skewers the lizards and lays them over the small fire, cooking and smoking the meat.
Breakfast for the party is smoked strips of lizard and mushroom.
Felix not seeing rain in a long time will remember times with his sister running in the streets playing. In a trance for a few second, without tell in the others get up and walk out into the rain. Taking his mask off and loosen his bandages to reveal his face. Not looking at the others will look up and let the rain hit his face after a few seconds will tighten bandage and conceal his face with the mask. Coming back to the others he'll wait until the other a ready to move.
Seeing Burnella make a fire will ask her after she done cooking, not to put it yet and he will get his expensive rum."I need your fire."Uncorking the expensive rum he will take a swig and then spit the rum into the fire three times before corking it and putting it away in bag.
Brunella arches an eyebrow, half expecting the human to set fire to his bandages and run around screaming and on fire. When that doesn't happen, she shrugs, and begins hauling the canoes out to the water.
To Musharib, she nods her head, glad that the albino dwarf likes the simple jungle fare. When the party is assembled in the canoes she takes a paddle and starts rowing.
“Great negotiations Kurma and good thinking to help out with the show Brunella. Personally I would have liked to see if what they said about the taste of lizard tail was true, but that would probably have been a hard fought entrée.”
"I cannot take all the glory, I heard you taking about tej so I thought I could maybe use my keg to avoid unnecessary confrontation"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The morning presents itself with a nice sun and clear sky. If it were not for the knowledge of monsters, this jungle could really enjoyable. Small beasts aside, no peculiar encounter occurs. The party can enjoy the meal of noon.
Gertrude remembers Musharib's advice and puts on her dose of insect repellent. She also shouts out to the others to remind them.
She sinks back into the small canoe. She almost doesn't fit and makes the canoe sway side to side. Once she is comfortable, she grabs the oars hard and follows Brunella.
"Hopefully there will be some fighting today" Gertrude thinks to herself.
Kurma jumping the water and pull the second canoe inland, close to the one of Musharib.

OOC Yes, theoretically Brunella and Musharib can find food for 12 persons each day

Inete casts a light spell on a stone, but she keeps it partially covered so that it would not lure monsters to their camp.

Felix Windfall(Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA, Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiAMusharib, not caring about the fire show, gladly grab a cooked lizard. He flavours it with a bit of rosemary from his satchel. "This is good."
