Alton leads the way through the door which opens easily, followed by Thorvin and Venovar.
The rear wall of this small room is lined with sturdy-looking wooden shelves. Clearly these were once laden with bottles and glass vials, but over the years many of these have been reduced to glittering shards of glass on the floor.
There’s a flicker of movement among the wreckage and you see numerous small black rats lapping up the last remnants of liquid left in the shattered remains of a dark blue bottle.
Thorvin, in this moment as you take in the room, you notice a few bottles have not yet been broken. There are labels affixed on the bottles. Two of them say 'heal' . One of them says 'hide' and one of them says 'help'.
Thorvin, you also notice that the label on the potion that the rats are currently lapping up reads: 'huge'
Gotur, having fallen behind his fellows, and being out of ranged options, moves in at the back, holding his staff ready to bop any rats that come scurrying past his companions.
Venovar, you use your halberd to poke, slice and smush 2 rats. The little creatures lay still on the ground.
OOC: The rats had an AC of 10... there was no initiative here as I wanted to wait to see if anyone straight up attacked them before the growth potion kicked in. Luckily, Venovar made a successful attack roll on these creatures and so he's easily able to kill them all as they were all obsessed with the liquid.
So the cutely labelled potions that Thorvin saw remain on the shelves. The little rats are all dead.

(OOC)- Yeah. We should try to pick up all the other potions in this room. Investigate the rest of the room, then finally pick up all of our stuff from the other room.
Alton will pick up the potions on the shelf, and then look around the room.

(OOC)- Also, I just wanted to make sure if he hasn’t already, Alton will rush to pick up his torch before it goes out. He will put away a sword to accommodate the torch if it is still lit.
All of you take a good look around this storage room, and there is really nothing else of interest or worth, other than the potions.
Alton, you grab all of the potions. Thorvin, you grab the spellbook. Feel free to add them to your inventories.
Regarding the potions, any of you can make an arcana check to determine what the potions are other than the names they have on the labels. (heal / hide / help). The DC is high though as you're just going from the color/texture of the liquid. Or, someone later on might be able to tell you what they do. Or you can drink them to find out ha!
Everyone is able to grab all of their thrown weapons as well no problems, including the torch.
