"Agreed, east from here is a good plan." Leann says as they finish making the river crossing. She takes one of the watches, and would agree the charm should be kept, as it is likely to be something good for the group.
You travel through the jungle for eight days. Biting insects swarm you even as you slather yourselves in repellent. As you press though the dense jungle, you hear all around you the sounds of all manner of exotic living things and some unsettling noises made perhaps by something not living. It rains light on the first and third days, h3avly in the 5th and sixth, then gives way to sun, which warms the jungle and creates a dense mist on day 7. On day 5, you see what looks like a rainbow flying through the trees, surmising it must be the impossibly long tail of an exotic bird. On day 6, you pass a pile of humanoid bones, cracked open and strewn about haphazardly, as if gnawed on by wild dogs, but the bones were not just gnawed and chewed raw, they were clearly charred by fire as well.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
On the eighth day of travel, you come across a stand of wukka trees. You harvest 11 wukka nuts before sunset and make camp for the night.
Who will stand watch?
WUKKA NUTS
These fist-sized nuts grow on wukka trees, which are popular haunts for jaculi, su-monsters, and zorbos. A wukka nut rattles when shaken, causing its shell to shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. This magical light fades after 1 minute, but shaking the nut again causes the light to reappear. If the shell of the nut is cracked open, it loses its magic.
Dorian will volunteer to take a watch. He's been setting up his Tiny Hut each night for whoever wants to use it (everyone could fit, but some people like their privacy). The function of the spell does mean that he has to stay inside the tent while on watch. But he can see and hear out just fine from the hut, and can send his familiar to investigate anything as necessary.

Is anyone standing watch not in the hut. If not, I'll assume you're all inside the opaque (from the outside) structure. Anyone?
Leann would go in and out of the hut. She would feel more comfortable keeping her watch outside of it though. She would stay close to it, knowing the protection it offers is too important to stray far from in these lands.
She would take last watch, or which ever watch is not already taken.
Dorian has a familiar, which he mostly uses to reach high things for him, and now scouting/watch, so it spends more time than not in its pocket dimension. Current form is an owl.

As the first hints of dawn cast shades of red and orange across the predawn sky, Leann notices something emerge from the treeline, walking cautiously along the ground. It makes no effort to hide, approaching her very directly, deliberately - investigating. She sees the furry creature coming toward her, but hears the rustling of trees all around the ephemeral hut. The creature has not come alone. Meeting her eyes, the creature bares it's teeth at Leann and grunts hostilely. Within seconds, hoots and growls emmenate from the canopy, followed by the sound of bodies crashing through the understory leaves. In a heartbeat, the hut is surrounded by 15zorbos. Those inside the hut undoubtedly stir from the noise.
Your hut has radius 10ft in a clearing radius 50ft, with zorbos 45ft from the hut to the North, south, east, west, SE, SW, NE, NW. From overhead, Z1 is at 9 o'clock, Z2 at 11 and so on. Leann is just outside the hut facing Z1, Echo is near the spot she uses as an exit, 10 o'clock. Dorian's owl is circling the hut, currently at 1 o'clock. Ctenmiir's coffin is at 6 o'clock.
I'll try to get a picture of this up soon, this encounter was randomly generated. I think you have what you need to start. Act by group order. If your character does nothing, use '...' to indicate so we can keep moving. Each group has 12 hours to respond or I will move to the next group.
Order of combat by group:
1. Echo (steel defender), Leann, owl,
2. zorbos,
3. anyone who chooses to come out of the hut (you're not counted as prone, thereby losing half your movement to stand up, you can move you're full speed.)

Huarache is just fine with not taking first watch. He orders Echo to stand watch with Dorian, then lays down to get some sleep.
OOC: Huarache has two days of rations left and fishing tackle; is there any body of water nearby to get some fish to eat?

Vernell will help out with first watch for Dorian and will have his familiar maintain its vigil over the vampire.
Paladin - warforged - orange
Samogri will do second watch
Not really. But the day after that, assuming you don't get lost, you will make it to Kitcher's inlet.

She would take last watch, or which ever watch is not already taken.
And to reiterate, you have a metal greyhound helping with the watches. She has darkvision and can't be surprised.

I'm not counting on surprise, rather if any humanoids can be seen or if they're all hidden away.
But on that note, a comprehensive list of pets, mounts and familiars is something I need to get together.
Steel Defender: Echo, Steel Defender. I can PM you the statblock if you need it.
