(Looks like a short fight/ game for Tetrevess. Was using the fireplace gem a bonus action for him? I’m still learning 5e rules, but I thought we would get an initiative roll prior to his actions, since our first action was surprise)
Tetrevess fails the save and is at 5 HP. Is it our turn now?
can we still See the priest or does he appear to have left the area through a secret door or something?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Huarache throws a small orb at Tetrevess, which glows with a blue light that briefly surrounds her. (Flash of Genius; add 6 to that CON save.) Huarache runs forward, activating his hammer and swinging it at the nearest enemy to Tetrevess.
Attack: 19 Damage: 11
Attack: 16 Damage: 15
If either hits, he uses Arcane Jolt, the blue light flashing around Tetrevess once more, looking more like lightning as it reinvigorates her for 7 HP regained.

object interaction. but deliberately misleading / vague to obscure to players how the secret door works. You already have a map showing the secret room to the northeast of the private chapel, so using the door just requires you to know how to use it. this particular door is made of fire. I don't think PCs would be able to see him - more light is produced by the fire than there is ambient in the room beyond, similar to 2-way mirror glass effect, but you would also be hidden from him. Wall of fire spell is similarly opaque.
<My intent is not to have the priest run away, he's just getting a change of venue. "Initiative" (such as it is) is still in effect.>
It is back to PCs turn. Regarding Huarache's target - since I never formalized the initiative and just acted whenever - should we point it at the imp as it tries to follow the warlock? It necessarily occurs after the attack by the priest, whose turn ends in movement, so of the creatures left in the room, I'm assuming the target is the imp. If it is - the imp is dead. well technically returns to its native plane, but close enough.
(OOC: Ok now I´m confused again. Didn´t we get a surprise round then? Wouldn´t at least Huarache and Sam be able to act before Ard-Sagart? You posted earlier that you were waiting for Sam and Huarache to post their actions. Please at least state how you rule on these things, otherwise I don´t know if you have taken what I said into account or if you just decided he wasn´t surprised for some reason.)
(OOC so Tetrevess makes the save and takes 30 Hp, (thanks!) order of operations in PBP is confusing since we can’t all post all the time. Sam still gets to go before the priest/Imp leaves.

Tetrevess bonus action manifests a incorporaeal floating head (a greenish glowing bearded old man) in the room beyond the secret door, and the casts a radiant fireball -silently exploding with light in that room- blasting the imp and priest ( 4th level radiant fireball) - postponed so it won’t blast us of course..

Etrigan/Thessalar is momentarily surrounded by hellish flames. Dex save with advantage due to magic resistance provided by Grygaxx:14 Etrigan/Thessalar grumbles as Ard-Sagart escapes through the fire of the fireplace, the Moloch homunculus helping his face to a very disappointed visage. A gesture with the rod while muttering an arcane word and a bright streak flashes from the rod, through the fire and then blossoms with a low roar into an explosion of flame in the area beyond. Fireball dc:18 fire damage:34 (centering the fireball far enough beyond the fire to not damage anyone still in the room with us). Etrigan/Thessalar then turns to the Demogorgon. "Well, what are you waiting for. Go and get him before he escapes!" He says with a stern voice to the hulking beast.
(OOC: Legion4, I guess you want to attack the high priest Ard-Sagart rather than Tetrevess, who is being the only mage around I think. The high priest left through a fire, I´m not sure you can follow him but we will find out i suppose. Also, don´t forget your flame tongue damage :-)

Yes I meant the high press Sam thinks most humans magic users are mages
flame toung is a bouns action plus I’ll be fair I would have to say it before I did my attacks to have the additional fire damage
Sam's action takes place prior to the priesrs departure. I'm assuming you're all.planning to follow him, as nothing prevents you from doing so - it just requires the expenditure if a single gem (of which you have many) [although blood from a self inflicted would would also work]
I'm not granting surprised to the round. Sorry I didn't acknowledge it in the text.
I don't know for sure if anyone is planning on following or not. At the moment it seems like the imp has been dealt with having never made it out from under he bed before being stabbed into oblivion. At this point, there is not a really anything for the ettin to attack if it felt compelled to do so unless it squeezed through the roaring flames of the fireplace first.
<You've seen the map right? There's only like 5ft of space directly behind the fireplace before you hit a wall. What does happen if you attempt to cast fireball through a wall? >
(I thought it was just fire between us and the high priest and not a wall as such. Are you ruling you can´t send a fireball beyond a fire then? In that case we have to think about other actions. Now you said we didn´t get a surprise round, which is a little disappointing. Then it seems we at least got to act first, well some of us. Sam did but not Huarache, why is that? So we are in a new round now after the high priest but does Huarache get to act again now or not? How fast can Etrigan distribute gems from his portable hole? Being able to cast finger of death he could kill anyone of us with a single action so I think we can´t just hop through that fire unless we get some sense of the turn order.)
I see the map- the squares are 10’x10’, so it seems my manifest mind could target the fireball such that it goes off towards 30 Down the stairs a bit- it doesn’t expand around corners and such- just effects a 20’ radius, so 4 square circle on the map. The manifest mind itself is immune to all damage so it can put it right on top of itself.

Here's how I draw it. I'd say the guy hiding u seriously the bed is OK, but anyone between the doorway and the fireplace would be in the blast radius. So I guess I'll make a roll for the ettin and the boggle.
Uh oh. That's not good for the boggle. We'll keep the turn order the same as it's been. (Seems as reasonable as random dice rolls.)
Etrigan, Tess, Barrill, Huarache, Sam, Ard-Sagart, Demogorgon and, well - I guess not the boggle or the imp. RIP.
Trouble be clear because I forgot forgot mark the epicenter and I'm just freehand drawing, it's the corner wall behind the fireplace secret passage that is the origin of the sphere. So that would put the ettin up per above.
"Slippy! My steward! Who waits on me now?! Thessler! You find me new steward. You say we both get one and now he has one and I dont! It's not fair!" Howls the right(?) Head of the Demogorgon.
Round 2 already underway, consisted of some actions from the casters so far. Huarache, Sam and Barrill are still up.
Spoiler: he can only do finger of death once a day. That's why I did it on round 1 to be scary but unlikely to actually kill anyone, though not impossible.
1. What about Etrigan/Thessalars fireball? Could it be cast through the fire or should he come up with another action? 2. If Huarache acted before the high priest, why couldn´t he have struck him before he left the room? 3. How fast can Etrigan distribute gems from his portable hole, can Huarache, Sam and Barril follow the high priest using gems this round?

SRD:
A Clear Path to the Target
To target something, you must have a clear path to it,
so it can’t be behind total cover.
If you place an area of effect at a point that you
can’t see and an obstruction, such as a wall, is
between you and that point, the point of origin
comes into being on the near side of that obstruction.
