Lost Lab of Kwalish

The tortle head protests, as the wall around the door disintegrates.  "Stop.  You are not the master!" The muffled speech continues as the door falls loudly to the ground, wiggling about as the head continues to speak unintelligible.  

Beyond the door, a series of overlapping curtains embroidered with a pattern of silvery spiderwebs drape across a stairway leading down.

Tetrevess  says “sorry, turtle, we can’t hear you very well now.  A lot of mithril in this door.  Worth more than the whole of a halfling shire I’d wager..”.   He starts down the stairs.

As Tetrevess passes the first curtain, he feels the material clings to his shoulder, threatening to entangle him.  DC 17 or restrained with Str check (DC 17) as an action to escape.

“Oh bother”.. tetrevess says.  “Mind the curtains”. He casts misty step and tries to teleport to a safe spot down the stairs away from the curtains.

(Ok-  is misty step going to work? I may teleport back up and then use the sphere to clear curtains, if that’s possible.  :) ) 

Sam who is look at this ask the turtle head “let me pass as I am your new master” brandishing the blade 

Gravity will hold up a small portable device that vaguely resembles a lighter, then generate a spark (Prestidigitation) to set the curtains on fire.

"Boss Moghaddam would never let us do such kind of things, just look at this place. Chaos reigns!"

Tetrevess teleports just beyond the fourth web laced curtain, picking bits of web from hus shoulders, the last curtain falls on the caster.  It is, in fact, a disguised trapper.

DC14 Dex to escape grappled, until then also restrained and blinded

Gravity burns away the remaining curtains

The door replies to Sam in a muffled voice: "You are not the master!"

At Gravity's comment, the door swings open, tossing the cut away part of the stone wall against the floor beside it. 

<If anyone was there I'd say Dex check, but I think you're all past it.>

<heres the map again.  You're dealing with the stairs down to 18a, Tetrevess is already at the bottom of this steps.>

“Get it off me!” Tetrevess says, he’s grappled restrained and blinded as the trapper wraps around the wizard..

Gravity barks order at the half-elf girl while moving towards the affected wizard. She draws out a Scimitar and casts Branding Smite on the weapon, then slashes at the creature twice.

"What are you staring at? Help me get rid of this thing!"

+ 8 from Branding Smite, on the attack that hits

(I never rolled the damage for the trapper)

16 bludgeoning plus 2 acid

Gravity slashes at the creature, but it maintains its hold on the wizard, who somehow remains unscathed by the scimitar.

(I don't think we need to roll initiative here,  you can if you want, but ...Sam, Ana, wanna help?)

Ana stands for an instant unsure of what was happening, then nocked an arrow and let loose at the creature, and again.

Probably, I'd say 'yes'

Gravity speaks the command word to see if magical flame erupts from the blade, then she will plunge the weapon into the body of the creature.

Attack: Scimitar (Flame Tongue Scimitar) Attack: 27 Damage: 14 + 7 from Branding Smite + 7 from weapon

Finally, she will fly over the creature to grapple it and move it upwards.

Grapple Check (Athletics): 21
