"I am not going to use one of my shape changes today so you two can spy on a nice old druid woman in her under garments. Shame on you. I'm gonna tell Flint." Marav sniffs indignantly.
//And yes he things the old lady likes him AND is druid.//
"Marav, we're not spying on her. We're trying to look into the snake situation in the attic... She's in her room below. And I'm not sure why you'd need to change into an animal for any of this..."
Ink shrugs, "Oh well, guess we should speak to Darathra and Foehammer. Let's stay together though. So Foehammers first with Rip then we'll go see Darathra, I suppose."
// Clarification—Tolmara is in her bedroom, which is nowhere near the attic. Just in case that wasn't already clear. Otherwise carry on, but Rip shame on you for not sharing. My three year old would be aghast! //
After getting some food Angel will be ready to see Foehammer, Darthra, probably not, he'll also like to go see Urgala to get the note about the Giant Slayer.
Flint wakes up late and does the "home alone" thing, looking into each of his companions room and scratching randomly as he realizes they all left without him. "Hrmph." He gets suited up and heads for the Lord Protector's tower, figuring it's best to get that situation cleared up first.
//also i find it funny Rip wouldn't want to share the tools he found in the cave. also when we go back for the mage Rip will collect a fragment of gargoyle, keeping up his collecting a piece of something that almost kills him//
With your hostess still sleeping the morning away and no breakfast to be had in the dingy dining room of the Six Windows, you head with relatively empty bellies to Foehammer's Forge.
It's a different atmosphere in town today. You pass several armed individuals on the way through the market, these new faces establishing something of a presence in Triboar. Reconstruction efforts are already underway for some of the homes, with townsfolk seemingly pulling together for their neighbors.
As you walk north to towards Foehammer's Forge, you pass a few people carrying tools and materials southwards.
Entering the smithy, a wave of heat greets you. Ghelryn Foehammer is already hard at work with Harriet Uldinath (whose own smithing practice was largely destroyed yesterday) assisting him. She is currently hammering a strip of iron on the anvil.
Foehammer looks up as you enter, but Harriet takes no notice and continues to pound away at the heated iron.
"Good morning, Foehammer. Our friend Flint told us that you wanted to see us all this morning. Rip here was adamant about it. Marav is being his independent self, so I'm not sure where he's at despite us telling him we were coming here," Ink chuckles, then continuing, "and Flint, uncharacteristically, was sleeping in some, but I'm sure he'd be around shortly. Given your valor yesterday, it was easy to convince us of this request, what may we do for you?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
// Edit.... Before getting to Foehammers, Ink asks random citizens about the proprietor of the Six Windows. Specifically, about old grudges. (I figure snake is a euphemism for another individual.) //

Investigation 8
"Yeah...it's not really my place to talk about marital affairs," gruffly says the militia member you ask, shifting awkwardly in his boots. "Even if they happened a long time ago."
Perhaps were you to give yourself a larger window of time, you cold get to the bottom of things.
On the bright side this allows Flint to catch up with you.
Angel would have taken out one of his own personal rations and ate it on his way to Foehammers. He would have given Ink curious glances as he asks about the old woman at the Six Windows.
"It is not nice to pry into others peoples lives unless they ask you to. Or they're dead."
When you all reach Foehammer's Forge, the old dwarf nods at Ink's mention. "Not really a request, mind ye; it's more of a "thank you" on my part to you." He produces a sealed letter. "This is a letter o' recommendation from me. It explains what we faced yesterday and asks the reader to help you in any way they can. I'd suggest ye present it to King Morinn or Queen Tithmel, should ye ever find yerselves in Citadel Felbarr."
"not a door, a lock" Rip pips as he walks out into the day
"Morning Angel! I'm off to see Foehammer before we report in to Darathra."

"Eh. I've lost interest... For now. But I'm going to ask around town as to why she lost her mind. Let's go meet up with Rip then go see Darathra."
Ink will relay the Foehammer/Darathra intentions to all party members prior to heading to meet Rip.
