The bodak seethes a retort at Rip, "You will respect me, fool!" He points a finger at the halfling, and Rip can feel the bodak's withering gaze on him, even with his eyes averted.
Rip must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 30 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Meanwhile, longbow shots continue to come from out of the shadows to pelt Marav, Flint, and Ink. Flint and Marav can now just make out the shapes of the three undead hunt lords, spaced out at the back end of the room, bows drawn and firing rapidly at them.

Spiritual weapon attack on Bodak 26 (would averting my eyes affect this? if he fails the save it would balance out right? 16 just in case) for 8 and Rip retreats out of the aura of ow and death gaze range, robes flapping in an odd breeze

The bodak and wight are completely unaffected by the hold person spell. They continue on as if nothing happened.
