"What's wrong with you brother killer?"

Ink replies, variously...

"Actually, not a lot would surprise me much anymore... And we've heard similar stories of such a giant." Then turning to the other soldier, Ink asks, "Could you draw me a quick map relative to our current location to the camp where you saw the massacre?"

Ink will schmooze and use connections if found, perhaps offer a favor of similar value in return, to talk the war wizard and ask his questions. (INT check 6 & CHA check 14  ).

If there's time left, Ink will seek an audience with Nomephel, mention that he's been traveling with a monk of the Lord of Light and ask him if he knows about any lore regarding Noaners Hold and the whispers and legend of the necromancer that serves as the de facto leader of the former village.

In his conversations with the wizard and/or priest, Ink will avoid admitting the group's part in Noaners Hold most recent history, which he doesn't expect anyone to know of yet, but he won't lie to hide it. 

Ink finds the commanding officer of the militia contingent that is stationed in Olostin's Hold, and impresses the officer enough that he is directed to the wizard in question, who is awaiting court-marshal. The wizard turns out to be an old friend from the spellguard of Silverymoon, and when Ink finds him he is in chains and is being guarded by two fellow soldiers, but is otherwise no worse for the wear. The spellcaster looks at Ink sheepishly...

Ink recognizing the man, calls out, "BRONSON, you're the one getting court-martialed?" Then, whispering, "Did you really say what they said you said?"

He looks at the soldiers and asks, "Does he really need to be in chains? It's not like he'll cause any of you harm or grief. He just has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth..."

"Who is the one accusing him?"

As Crownsguard and Marav look over Lezryk, they can both see that infection has set into his wound. He feels warm to the touch. 

"I'm...fine..." he says, dismissing any attention. Sweat beads on his jaundiced brow. 

“You are not.” Crownsguard places a hand on him as a soothing warm pulses through his body. Crownsguard expends 5 uses of his Lay on Hands to cure the disease. “Now you are. There is no shame in acknowledging human weakness. Ignorance is not penance. You can do no good in needless suffering.”

Your healing magic returns Lezryk’s face to its proper color, and the aggravated wound closes over as the infection disappears.

The nobleman stares in disbelief at the miraculous healing, but won’t meet your eyes. “I...don’t know what to say. I am...appreciative of your assistance.”

Crownsguard kneels down and whispers to Flint, “Do you require a field of truthfulness? If so, I too am able to cast that spell. May I be of assistance?”

"Aye lad, that would be helpful."

"Look, no one wants to kill you, hurt you, etc. We want justice served. Talk to Flint and it might just save your life from the magistrate that we find who has no use for a brother killer." Marav says softly.
