 Crownsguard does not move, “Correct. I obtained this amulet after we were attacked. The duel was lost. Apologies. However, I believe that Ink is incorrect about my origin. I will explain it better to him in the future. Here you are.” Crownsguard will remove the amulet and extend it to her. He’ll take whatever attack she throws at him first.

She screams a warcry, and the vapor from her mouth swirls as she leaps forward. The barbarian woman's axe bites into Crownsguard's chassis as she strikes, overcome with rage. 

15 slashing damage 

Crownsguard suffers some damage, but it isn't enough to put him in a state of disrepair. The woman cries—a guttural, pitiful sound—and lifts her axe again to strike. 

// What do you do? //

Oof. Ok. Was counting on an attack roll there. Didn’t think that would be instant damage.

For the next attacks, Crownsguard is specifically trying to block them all with his free arm while holding out the amulet, “It is OK. Would you like to swing again?”

// Okay, since this isn't exactly combat, Crownsguard, go ahead and make a Constitution saving throw, DC 13 or 11 damage. What does everyone else do? //

Con Save: 6. Oof.

Flint tackles her. Athletics: 12

"Ye daft lass? Yer kin was up again' us in a straight up fight. Ah don' figure ye'd be happy 'bout it but this don' help them. "

Flint is able to tackle her to the ground, but still she thrashes, trying to bring her axe to bear against her new assailant, howling with animal fury.

Ink shoots a fire bolt at the great axe hoping to knock it out of her hands while it's on the upswing.

Rolling at disadvantage given its a called shot.... Attack: 8 Damage: 12

Crownsguard will put up and arm toward Ink and then gesture for Flint to move from the woman, “She is in great pain. I am the one who executed her beloved in combat. Therefore her anger should be directed at me. Please, do not attack.”

"She's in a rage. I don't think you'll be able to calm her down," Ink says.

He backs away from the brawl.

Ink's firebolt goes wide as Flint performs the tackle.

The barbarian woman swings uselessly at Flint, who has tackled her to the ground. She is unreasonable and inconsolable. Attack: 17 Damage: 8

Crownsguard nods, “Correct. I just need to outlast her.”

"Or we end this now..." Ink says a little to confidently.

Ink rushes up and taking advantage of her prone position punches her with his free hand hoping to knock her out cold.

Attack: 12 Damage: 1

The blow is enough to knock the woman unconscious, though Ink's hand stings from the impact. 

The female barbarian grunts as her head lolls to the ground, and her axe falls from her loose grip.

Crownsguard sighs, “I could have done that. However, this was the opposite of how I intended this to go.”

"Well, you should have then! What if that axe had taken Flint's head?" Ink asks.

"I just knocked her out - look, she's still breathing. Bind her up if you want and bring her with us, if you insist."

"This, however," Ink picks up the great axe and places it into the bag of holding, "stays with me until I deign she can have it. I cannot believe you so willingly gave her a weapon. I appreciate that you assume the best in everyone, but you have to take precautions assuming that's not always the case."

Ink pats Crownsguard on the shoulder as he walks towards the opposite tunnel from which they entered. Torch in one hand, scimitar in the other.

As he walks towards the tunnel he says, "Where's a bloody spider with webbing when you need one?!?" 

"Fer us all. She'll wake up soon, we should be gone when she does. "

"Ah'd've given her weapon back as well, but ah'd'na stand fer a swing. " flint says with a chuckle. 

Crownsguard stands quietly for a moment, “Flint. May I ask you a question?”

Flint raises his eyes to meet Crownsguard's  face painting //how's it holding up btw?// "aye, ye may, but then we gotta go."
