"Mortals tremble at his name...Slarkrethel...the all-powerful..." The stinking corpse is once again inert.
In response to your question, Delsephine says, hand over her nose and mouth, "Don't cook him in the furnace! It'll stink up the whole ship! Toss him overboard! Blech..."
Whichever way you choose to use to dispose of the body, you are able to complete your rest without any more trouble.
The trip back to the Eye of the All Father is made through clear but frigid skies, and against a strong headwind from the arctic. The wind is such that it assaults your ears with booming roars if you are anywhere in the open, and you can hear the constant whistling and straining below deck.
Even so, you are quite close, and after hardly any time you are greeted by the imposing sight of the bas-relief pillars of the gigantic dome, carved into the mountainside.
as they approach the temple Matrix will sidle up next to Ink, "So that's the temple? impressive, bigger then I expected even for giants.... So Mr. Dangerfield mentioned an oracle thing, 5 question limit. did you ever discern if it was a group thing, or individual? I have some questions of my own I'd to ask the "oracle" but not at the detriment of the group. on that note I know you hold this giant in high regard but I haven't met him so i don't trust him, not for translating the oracles questions. Would you translate them for me?"
The airship sets down at the end of the causeway, allowing you to enter the frozen temple. Those of you who have been here before notice that it looks a little more lived-in now. Gone is the frost inside. The floors are clean, the interior is well-lit by magical sconces, and the doors are invitingly open.
Flint's is the first foot to hit the causeway. You note the frostbite scar on his neck has grown and his lips are turning blue. He approaches the temple with purpose.
Harshnag drops down from the upper level ramparts that line the massive entry hall.
"Well it's about time! I figured you'd gone and got yourselves eaten...even though the oracle was telling me otherwise, I was starting to suspect its riddles meant something different. It's good to see you, master Flint," says the armored frost giant.
Don walks up behind Flint, "Well technically I think Flint was half eaten... a couple times right?" he starts to count on his fingers. "We are here now."
Ink responds to Matrix, "Five questions per day, total. If our friend Harshnag asked questions this morning, then we'd have to wait until tomorrow."
"A lot of things have happened to us - apologies for the delay. We'll catch you up best we can," Ink says shaking the cold away from his limbs.
He looks around the place, "The temple looks brilliant - never thought anything so monolithic could look homey, but this seems quite comfortable now. Any further visitors or has the All-Father been your only company?"
Don walks up toward Harshnag, "I have been told you are a good person Mr. Harshnag." He looks back over at the group, "By people I trust with my life... a lot. I'd shake your hand but I think you might accidentally break my arm." Don grins at his own joke.
“HA HA HA!” Harshnag booms at Don’s joke, shaking you where you stand. “I like you. As it happens, I appreciate the small folk greeting rituals like handshakes, but I usually do not partake in them.
“Now, in answer to your question,” he turns to Ink, “No, it’s only been me here. Well, me, the oracle, and the young cloud giant’s ghost. Pretty well stuck on his own death, that one. Don’t suppose you managed to carry out that revenge mission did you?” He shakes his head.
“It’s good you’ve picked up more help along the way though. Say, where are Rip and Marav?” The giant asks, peering towards the entrance as if searching for any more additions.
"Mr Dangerfield had succeeded in reuniting his family and decided it would be for the best if he stayed with them. He highered me to help the group in his stead, Matrix."
"A soon to be dead white dragon killed Marav. He was on a quest to get more power to help with the mission." Don's eyes lower and he continues in a lower voice. "I'm gonna get my childhood friend back and kill that dragon."
"Don is referring to the white dragon we faced here in the temple... Marav found his lair it seems... It did not end well. That same white dragon found us by a barbarian hunting ground not far from here. We were able to chase it away, but only barely - we had just finished dealing with a couple of young remorhazes," Ink clarifies despite no one asking him to.
Harshnag's great blue face falls at the news. "I should have killed the wyrm when I had the chance. I am truly sorry, my friends. Once we're done here, I will help you track down the monster and slay him for good, if you'd like."
Harshnag will lead you into the feast hall of the giant temple, where the great fire burns in the middle of the room. The body of the adult remorhaz is gone, and Harshnag has tidied up in here quite a bit.
“Once you’ve warmed yourselves up, we can approach the oracle. Are those the relics you’ve obtained?”
Once you have had a chance to warm your toes by the everlasting gout of flame in the feast hall, Harshnag leads you to the swirling mists of the ancient archway. Approaching Thrym's statue and ceremoniously lifting the massive axe from its hands, he uses it to touch the Ise rune on the archway. The structure glows and the mists separate so that you can once again travel through to consult the oracle of Annam.
"Make sure you've got the relics with you," says Harshnag. "I have a sense that you'll need to present them as offerings to the All-Father."
