// Let me know when you guys want to head out. I'm okay screen-wiping to the morning. You can rest sound, since the guards are now keeping the village safe. Just don't want to stymie any good roleplaying or planning by going forward to fast! //
Marav mutters something about woulda been nice if they had made alliances with the goblins to help defend themselves. Under his breath only loud enough for the party to hear.
"Well now that food is settled. I’m worried about about the village being attacked by the giants again. I think someone should stay here and help them incase they come back.” Angel says well staring at Sev.
The elf nods. "That's probably a good idea. I'll keep my ear to the ground and an eye on relations with the goblins."
You pass an uneventful night in the cold inn on your bedrolls, or in the keep on a warm bed, resting from the trevails of the last few days.
You awaken to birds singing, cloudy skies, and the smell of breakfast cooking! The widow Southwell has donated sausage and eggs to feed the village, and there are potatoes and other vegetables cooking in a traditional Waterdhavian fry-up.
Angel, being the religious man he is, got up a soon as dawn arrived to greet the Morninglord. He began his day with daily prays to Lathander while the sun was rising and was able to get some light exercise (stretching, practing some stances, and a nice jog) in before other got out of bed. He was able to get a good wash in and some food. He is waiting by the stables for the other being obnoxious bright and cheery.
Angel jumps at the shoulder tap and quickly turns around landing in an attack stance with his hands already glowing with radiant energy. He lowers them once he realizes it is Marav.
"Good one you got me there. But, be careful next time. I was ready to blast you full of Sun Bolts."
"Just wanted to keep an eye on the horses, figured kobolds or something woulda shown up last night and attacked." Marav yawns then produces some goodberries and passes them out as the party arrives.
"Good morning, Marav... Ah, thank you," Ink says taking the goodberry. "Good morning to you, Angel."
//it's going to be another crazy week for me... Next week will start getting better. I'll try and check in during lunch, but I can't guarantee it... :/ //
Your morning preparations are interrupted by a cloud break, followed by screams. Within moments, the temple bell starts to toll its warning, with a persistent gong.
People are running everywhere, mostly towards the keep south of the village, and the Widow Summerhawk points to the skies as she hurries her children along.
Looking up, you see an enormous tower floating on a billowy cloud a thousand feet overhead. The tower must be hundreds of feet tall, and its spire looks strangely like a pointy wizard’s hat.
As the tower drifts closer, stairs made of clouds begin to form underneath it and descend toward you.
Running outside, Flint has a look at what is happening and finds a place among rubble or boulders near where the stairs seem to be gathering. "GUARDS! GET TA YER POSTS! SEND A RUNNER FER SOLACE! MORAK RALLY FIGHTERS ON ME!"
Marav is right—no boulders are falling, and no giants are visible. The pillar of cloud descends to the center of town and stops just short of the ground.
The screaming generally subsides, with the villagers all holed up and looking out of windows, and guards all standing ready at their watchtowers. Solace can be seen approaching from the bridge in the south, wielding her sword and looking warily towards the tower in the sky. Morak, meanwhile, pokes the cloudy, spiral staircase with boyish curiosity. It wisps a little around his finger but doesn't budge an inch, as if it were hard earth shrouded in fog. The stairs are made of firm cloud stuff, and sized, not for giants, but for humans. Along with the stairs coming spiraling a hand-railing that is cool and firm to the touch.

If we're taking the horses, does the town have any horse feed to spare? Otherwise, yeah wipe it. :)

"Well at least they aren't dropping boulders this time." Marav starts toward the stairs.
