"I have another rope, if we need it." He sends to the dragon born. He then takes another bite at the rope, and stays where he is, to be able to continue to communicate with Lupe if needed.

Milo and Lupe
"Alright, friend. Come on over." His thoughts are sent to the wolf. Lupe stands and shakes out his fur. He takes a running start, easily running along the 15 feet between the pit and him. He takes a great leap trying to leap again in the same motion to clear both pits in a double jump maneuver.
Who said dire wolves weren't graceful? Probably the three adventurers that witnessed Lupe navigate two pit traps in succession. The first pit was cleared with ease as the wolf's powerful legs shot it up and out into the air. The second jump wasn't as pretty. While Lupe was landing the first jump, the wolf's front paws caught the rim of the second pit, slid over the edge, throwing the head and shoulders downward in the same direction. Lupe pushed his back legs with everything he had to try to make the second jump and use the momentum he had. With so much force from his back legs, the back end of the wolf went up and over his front end and carrying it with him, over the pit, in not one, but two and a half rotations, through the air, the dire wolf landed with a solid "THUD!" on his back on the other side of the second pit. As he hit, he made a loud grunt as the air in his lungs were pushed out. After a short pause, taking in the beauty of the sky through the trees above him, Lupe rolls to his side and starts to get back up, less than enthusiastically due to the pain in his pride - unharmed otherwise.
The heroes journey on through the forest. It's not long after the pit traps, maybe 20 minutes or so that the bushes start to thin out and the path becomes a little wider. There's much more room to move around. Along the way, tracks/foot prints have been seen in the ground, but they are not fresh for days weathering have smoothed things over a fair bit. The trees start thinning out a bit. Soon after they can see there is a larger clearing up ahead. They take cover behind some bushes to try to get a clear look without getting closer.
From their vantage point, they can see four humanoid figures laying about, about 100' feet away. Two are laying near a campfire that has extinguished. One appears slumped against a tree. It's behind a tree and only its legs are showing. And the last figure is laying down at the other side of the clearing. Some sort of shelter can be seen, made within a tight grouping of trees, some boulders, and branches from trees, also near the other side of this clearing. Except for the normal din of the forest, it's quiet.

Milo and Lupe
Milo sends a telepathic message to Donnar. "We'll check it out. Wait for our signal."
He then sends a message to Lupe, telling him to circle the clearing without being spotted. Milo and Lupe split off in different directions, trying to get a better look.
MIlo and Lupe quietly make their way around the camp in search of a better vantage point. Their movement goes unnoticed and brought them in closer by roughly 25'. The humanoid figures appear on the smaller size in stature. Other than that, everything appears as it did before they made their movement.
Donnar watches the giant wolf spider that is Mr. Milo and Lupe make their way over slowly. Then looking to Menttal, crouching next to him says, "He said to wait for his signal.. but after the whole ordeal with the pits, my patience is thin."
Pausing another moment to consider things, Donnar then stands up and yanks Menttal up with him. "Come. Let's kick this hornets nest and see what happens!"
Donnar watches stomp forward out of the bushes, and drawing his scimitar in each hand will begin to take faster more deliberate strides towards the lazing humanoid figures.
"I do hope they're the ones responsible for those pits.." he mutters to himself through gritted teeth.
Donnar marches with long strides into the center of camp. As he makes his way toward the two lying by the extinguished campfire he is able to recognize they are goblins. But why aren't they reacting?
As he approaches closer still, he notices, and is taken aback by, a terrible strong oder of decay. As he walks up to the goblins, it is clear they are dead and have been so for several days. The first has large slashes across his check and abdomen. The second is missing half of its neck.
Donnar looks over to tree where another goblin appears resting against a tree. It's also not reaching to his presence. Nor the one at the other end of camp. "Are they all dead," he wonders?
Seeing his friend stride into the clearing with no repercussions, Milo moves out into the open also, checking on the body closest to him. As he moves closer to his companions he says to Donnar telepathically, "Something has killed these things, and it clearly wasn't interested in eating them. We'd best be on guard."
Lupe wanders out of the bushes over to the gathered party.
"Let's see if there's anything useful on these goblins."

Facial expression scrunched in disgust, Donnar replies out loud, "Probably someone just as peeved as I about those pits."Then turning back to where he left Menttal, he will motion for the bard to join them with the scimitar clutched in his right hand.
When Menttal has come close enough that he doesn't have to yell, Donnar relays Milo's suggestion about looting the ill fated goblins.
"I'll keep watch. So we don't end up like them."
Standing the center of the camp, Donnar will keep watch over the brush and trees surrounding it.
Milo, Lupe, and Menttal walk over to and search through the dead goblin bodies while Donnar keeps an eye out. The search reveals out-turned pockets with only bits of string, small rocks (real flat, almost perfectly round, or unusually smooth, but they are just rocks). If there was anything of value, it seems to have been taken, or simply never in possession.
While looking at his feet, a pinecone hits Donnar square on top of his head. He looks up and sees nothing but a pine tree.
"Woo! That was close! I'm absolutely ready to be done with these blasted pits!" Donnar says while steadying his footing. He regrips the rope.
"Alright Mr. Milo! Chomp chomp, once more. Fingers crossed we don't need 50ft of rope after this. Ours keeps shrinking!"

"Ok Mr. Menttal, let's get you outta there!"
Donnar wraps the wrote around his hand and drops the other end into the pit for Menttal to use to climb out of.
"Lets work together now!" He'll wait for Menttal to start climbing, then he'll pull.
Athletics check to help pull while he climbs: 13
"Ok" Menttal grabs the robe, trying to climb it. (Athletics: 6)
Menttal isn't able to hold onto the rope to climb up or be pulled up. He'll need to wrap the rope around his body to be lifted out.
Athletics check:14
((For Donnars attempt to pull him up once hes tied the rope around him.))
Donnar is able to easily pull Menttal up and out of the pit.

Milo maybe send Lupe on over the two pits while Donnar is helping Menttal - in the interest if moving things forward.

Milo climbs down from the tree, joining his companions. He heads off down the path, skittering along on his spider legs, Lupe not far behind.
"You're alright then?" Donnar asks Menttal as he recovers and recoils what is left of his rope.
"I think we maybe don't come back for the bear. If it means having to cross those pits again."
Donnar follows a few paces behind Lupe.

Milo, Lupe, Donnar, and Menttal sit quietly behind their respective bushes looking at each other, then at the camp, then back at each other.
