During the remainder of the day, Khoraj sees no sign of any intelligent creatures. Birds, rabbits, deer, and rodents are seen, but, no trace of any two-legged creatures. Budeim and Tin made the call to stop for camp about a half hour or so before the overturned wagon would be spotted. Max's familiar, now a hawk, does spot the wagon. It appears to be an overturned wagon, similar to the one used by the party, rather than a carriage. The wagon is turned partially on its side in a ditch on the side of the road. Someone has piled a mound of dirt on the side of it, with a crude banner flying over the wagon/dirt pile. There are two rectangular holes cut in the bottom of the wagon. But, the hawk is unable to see any sign of life.
While the rest of the party sets up camp, Khorag, Quiller and Max depart to check out the wagon. (Could the three of you make stealth roles).
OOC Please describe how the camp is being set up. We'll use this as a standard set-up from here on out.
While the other party members are setting up camp, Quiller, Moshet, and Khoraj moved down the road, using the bushes for cover adjacent to the road. Rounding a bend in the road, they could see the wagon, appearing to lean against a large pile of dirt. A makeshift flag hangs over the construction, with the flag consisting of blood dripping from a green fist. As they move closer for a better look, Moshet steps on a dry branch creating a loud crack that seems unnaturally loud in the quiet of the early evening.
The wagon is located near a drainage flowing down from the mountains, with a small hill present in the direction the party is approaching from. There is no sign of any life around this makeshift construction. A small ditch partially encompasses the mound of dirt and wagon. It is possible the individuals who constructed it were planning on it functioning as a moat, although from the smell, it appears to be functioning as a makeshift latrene.
Quin prepares a fire but doesn't light it. He quickly gathers as much firewood as he can, being careful to stay on the side of camp away from the overturned wagon. In camp he places his bed between the oxen and the fire.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Mayhaps we should move up that small hill, gain the vantage and advantage of height," Quiller says quietly. "Would rather not have a fight but the wagons will have to pass by that place and if there is anyone there who wishes to contest our passage, well, it will come to one."
Looking for any concealing brush atop the hill, quiller will slither up to the crest until he can just see over it, nothing but his forehead and eyes broach the crest.

Moshet looks down at his foot with a silent grimace. He looks apologetically at his companions and freezes in place.
Nodding agreement to Quiller, he will follow silently as well as cast Thaumaturgy 3x to generate momentary ominous whispers in a pattern: As we move right up the small hill, the whispers will keep moving forward in the bushes to simulate that we are still moving forward along the road.

OOC: I should have worn my armor at this rate. Probably would roll better at disadvantage.
On the climb up the hill, Moshet dislodges a rock that dislodges a couple other rocks, creating a small avalanche of 10-15 rocks rolling back down the slope. On top of the hill, the trio get a better view of the "fort" and it looks like there is a door on the backside of the mound of dirt. While on top of the hill, Moshet happens to glance up at one of the trees and notice a small, crude platform built into a crook of one of the trees. It is no currently occupied.
Rolling his eyes at himself and looking up whispering, "Emissary save us..." Stopping behind the other two, Moshet quietly (OOC: if that is possible), "Koraj, Quill, look above us to the right, there is a lookout stand in that tree. I wonder if there are others or if this site is abandoned?"
Knowing what he is looking for, Moshet looks around intently at the other trees for signs of tree-stands, empty or occupied.
Looking around at the other trees, there are no other lookout stands in the trees. But, the tree with the stand in it provides a good view down the road. In the distance, you can make out the wagon and the animals of your own camp. It would be difficult for anyone in the tree to miss people traveling down the road, and would have ample time to warn others about the approach of people.
Khoraj nods. silently but visibly upset. "perhaps one of us should go back and alert the group and go forward at the ready. If the bandits try anything the two up here will attempt a flank on them . better than all of us down there."
”I can do that,” says Moshet. Looking sheepishly, “I’ve been a terrible noise up here - maybe I will draw them out or at least they might think it was just me up here.”
Moshet will head back down the hill such that he won’t see the overturned wagon and will head towards camp - keeping a sharp eye about his surroundings.

Lukas takes a few practice swings, then asks "order of watch?"
"Probably should wait to make to many decisions till the others get back. May still have a fight on our hands.", Quin replies to Lukas' comment.
