Without too much trouble, the animals and wagon are brought up to the south edge of the hill. By the time you get the wagon stopped, and everyone ready to check out the overturned wagon in more detail, the sun is setting. The people on the south and west side of the hill are entirely in shadow, while light still flickers through the trees on top of the hill.
"Well let's see if that anthill can be stirred up, who's got a good stick, or should we just go for it?" Quiller never takes his eyes off of the upturned wagon. "Don't think there will be a dragon behind that thing." He grins and gives a soft humorless laugh. "If nobody else, I'll go poke at it."
If no one else does anything, Quiller will slip around the hill, keeping in shadow (Stealth 20), bow at the ready.
He will try and gain an angle that will allow him to see what is behind the wagon, if anything.

"I was hoping we could just go around it since it seems that nobody knows we're here. Besides how do we know its not where those kolbolds came from? Maybe those were all there were. We could just set watch and leave at dawn. We can send back militia to clear them out. Besides they haven't actually done anything to us yet. But I suppose if you insist on this then I'll go the opposite way around from Quiller and have a look too. " Quin whispers.
Action: when Quiller leaves then Quin will do as he described and approach the wagon from the opposite side. Watching for traps and alarms.
OOC What direction are Quin and Quiller going to approach the wagon? The hill is to the south of the overturned wagon (and the party is all south of the overturned wagon), the road is to the east of the overturned wagon, and the mound of dirt is on the west side of the overturned wagon.
Quin moves around behind the wagon, and sees a large piece of wood set in the earthen mound. A metal handle is visible in the wood. It looks like it might functions as a door.
Quiller moves around the other side of the wagon, with little cover between the road and the wagon, with some knee-high grass present on the eastern edge of the road. Four rectangular holes have been cut into the underside of the wagon. Each hole is about a foot long (vertical) and six inches wide.

Moshet comes over the SE corner of the hill, trying to remain in the tree line of bushes until he is about 100’ from the overturned wagon. He has his crossbow out and ready.

Max sends out his bird to circle over the "fort" at about 80ft height, in a way that he occasionly comes within 100ft of Max to give a quick report via mental communication. Perception for the hawk: 23
Quin will continue his circuit until he meets Quiller. Once he does he flashes some hand signals to indicate nothing of immediate urgency back the way he came from but they should still be quiet as they go back to the others. Quin then turns around a heads back to Koran to report indicating to Quiller to follow.
Quin gets around the back side of the wagon/pile of dirt and starts to head around to the front when he notices Quiller following behind him. There is no movement to be seen from the back side of wagon. Although the ditch/latrine that is in back of the wagon does appear to have been used relatively recently, it is difficult to say when someone was last here, or whether anyone is hidden underneath the wagon and mound of dirt.
Quin goes back to Koran. "This is a waste of time. Lets just set camp and keep watch. If there is anything or anybody there they've done nothing to indicate hostility. We should just move on. All that's down there is a hatch and the upended wagon. It looks as if they've use the wagon for cover. If anything we should just block of the hatch and move on. " With that he moves on to help Tin and Budeim set up camp.
Wagon broadside to the direction of the overturned wagon, oxen close to the front in case they need to be hitched in a hurry. Finally he sets up a picket line for the horses off the back of the wagon. In the center of the U shaped formation formed by the animals and wagon he starts a fire. Spreading out his own bedroll near a wagon wheel he tells the two freight masters "wake me for third watch"

Since Quiller is trying to get a view behind the wagon he will go East. Stealthily all the way.

Moshet will move closer to the wagon near Quin & Quiller (30 ft) and will cast Thaumaturgy to cause the ground around the wagon to shake for 1 minute.
6 seconds later, he will use Thaumaturgy to cause the door to fly open (if it is unlocked) while the ground continues to harmlessly shake.
